She is the only decent pyro off field applicator currently.. especially with recent mualani that needs vaporize

I refused to use her for the longest time cause I used her a lot in the beginning and I couldn't even stand her voice anymore. I finally gave up and built her in 4.8
44% is surprisingly low, but then I think of how many people hate her, and I'm just chilling over here. Using her because I like how strong she is and she has never annoyed me after using her consistently for like the past 3 years.

Venti was the first character.
The first 1.5-2 years of genshin were almost 100% clearable by having Venti.
I kinda miss using him. But honestly i dont have a single built team that works well with him, maybe if i do Morgana, but id have to build Mona.
My old Venti team got powercrept (like everything) when Dendro released and i never used him after.
It is also due to how questionable Venti's constellations are. I can't remember which con it is but one of those that allows his normal attacks or charged attacks (can't remember which, maybe it's both) will have double arrows.
The problem right now is that "pullable" is a binary rather than a spectrum. Either you're pullable and you're pulled at one speed, or you're not. The way to solve this would be to make those Ruin Golems and Mitachurls become pullable but at a much slower speed, that way, Kazuha's skill will have very little effect on them, and Venti's burst becomes more useful in Abyss without being abusive.
Chiori being used makes me so happy, and i do hope she'll get used even after Xilonen would release......i hope.....

@@jucksun3747 People pretty much expect Chiori Xilonen Furina Kachina/Bennett since Xilonen is expected to be a geo healer which is great for Furina and Kachina can also provide much value, but Bennett shouldn't fall that much back.
Xilionen was always a must pull for me for her design alone.

@@koukikrak6467 not snappingshotting isn't really an issue due to their (gorou/Bennett) buffs lingering for 2 seconds, so you can do EE ---> N1 to still buff her strongest attacks (coordinate attacks and upward slashes and 1/2 turret attacks)

I pulled him in 1.5 and he's almost always in my abyss team. His artifacts aren't even optimized (I use Tenacity even with Neuvilette) but It seems like he don't even need artifact sets.
I was yelling at Jello for talking about cryo being at 11% when Wriothesley is legit there higher than Alhaitham.
True, but he did point out that he noticed it + its not a huge deal because I think wriothesley is more there because the people who pulled for him main him + the percentage of people who own him to appear is way more significant than other characters because he's only had 1 banner

@D4C_267 Nah, I have him on one of my accounts and I use him every abyss. He’s perfect for getting fanfare, good for assisting reactions or in some cases, not interfering with them, and he’s just super comfy.
On my other account without him I just got Mualani and I’m struggling to find a non-Benny healing option that won’t interfere with her vaporize and can actually offer something to the team.
Baizhu is a lifesaver for me.
i love how people keep forcing how mid zhongli is because he offers no buffs but only that little shred and a SHIELD

Petra + 20% shred is just good. Shred is very uncommon as a modifier so teams like neuvillette, furina, kazuha and zhongli get a lot of dmg out of it as all the other multipliers are already saturated.
I had him since release and really never found value in him and was benched till Fontaine. Suddenly Neuv, Clorinde and Alrecchino dropped and I needed shield for all 3. And I was a Xiao main for like 1.5 years but never needed Zhong for that time.
what makes him on top this time is because of the Geo shield boss. He break Geo shield fast.
20% res shred + 35% elemental dmg bonus from petra set, meanwhile kazuha gives 40% res shred + 40% elemental dmg bonus if 1000 em(means no fav,so need Xiphos or sign). If you know how res shred works you can say that zhongli is a 2nd kazuha with shield,if all agree that kazuha is decent then zhongli is GOAT
@@daimos8594 I doubt most people use him with Petra, just due to the crystal pick up related annoyance. But that still leaves Tenacity, for 20% attack. And, of course, he's a designated Fav carrier.
But really, it is the shield combined with the resist shred that gives him value. Once you can make the timer, consistency, ease of use, QoL, etc all have more value than more raw DPS, barring for speed-runners.
Navia has been eating so good and next patch she’ll even get a dessert in a form of Xilonen.
She might even get a second course in form of Mavuika

It’s nice to see Emilie in S, I understand a lot of people dislike her, but I was getting bothered specifically at the people trashing her as a bad/useless character when she clearly isn’t, she’s stuck on burning teams for the most part but she makes up for it because of her insane off-field damage.
Kinich also being a burning/burgeon focused unit is gonna help her out too, since her main issue was just her lack of teammates, especially an on-field DPS. We have Alhaitham but he prefers hyperbloom.
I feel like the current opinion meta is to hate on every character that isn't as OP as Neuvillette or Furina / not a landslide improvement to the most popular teams, and I get it, Genshin doesn't give its characters away for free, so a lot of people exclusively wanna pull for the most broken ones and like to hate on the ones that are more niche, but it's still frustrating to have that discourse, especially with the imaginarium theater in mind and the fact, that you can not longer just rely on your 8 strongest units to clear everything the game has to offer.
38% of use rate when it is the last 5 star for that abyss is definitely a pretty bad use rate. Im not talking about power level i dont care about that, but 38% for a new character is probably one of the lowest pickrates in genshin history. It's either she or Sigewine.

I think emilie is good but considering that emilies banner was last patch...
and also that a lot of ppl skipped her banner for natlan content that would also mean that the vast majority of ppl that pulled for her really wanted/liked her and the fact that only 38% of *probably* dedicated emilie owners use her that rlly isn't good
I think that people just didn't wanna cook on her teams which don't really have a "carry" and those teams just have low usage rates. Once Kinich comes out I suspect that will change for the next cycle.
As a fellow Clorinde main, I agree she is underrated.
Not sure why, I missed a lot of Fontaine, and seeing her in the background seems like she's crazy unless those are C1+ numbers.
With the app, you can click a characters portrait and see a list of that characters most used teams. For example, you can see that the most popular Clorinde team is Clorinde, Zhongli, Nahida, Fischl followed by Clorinde, Nahida, Baizhu, Furina. The first overload team is 7th.
Happy to see my girl Navia still getting SOME recognition. On my account, nothing comes close to the damage of "Unga-Bunga"'in on the enemies with my Navia-Furina-Xianyun-Chiori team.

Same, my Navia team still outperformes every other comb in raw damage numbers (though I'm currently working towards an Arlecchino team). I don't have Xianyun, so I'm actually using Sigewinne instead, and while she isn't even properly built, yet, boosts Furina so much it's insane.

same here, i use the same xianyun team but with zl instead of chiori. those plunge attacks numbers are insane, and not to mention the e dmg by itself.
aaand to make it even better, that team is really easy and comfy to use, i love it.

Cryo is so omega dead, that's not happening until tsarisa, and by then I expect Capitano to just send powercreep him to hell.
Just hope they rerun Wriothesley before Snezhnaya, Capitano will bench him hard.

Something i would take into account is that the never characters, ussualy when someone pulls for a new character they want to use them. While they might not feel like ussing old characters they have used a lot.
The geo shields on the second half are a big factor here. Zhongli is most notable, but claymores like navia/itto/eula also got bumps.
Yep I’m part of that: I 36 starred by slotting a badly built Navia in as a flex to deal with the shields.
(Not done building from the Navia+Nilou banner in the previous patch: the sands rolled completely into DEF and HP but I just wanted Navia’s burst to shield break)
yea this is the reason why i wanted navia she just blows up that geo shield and does so much damage. Problem i have is that i lost 50/50 twice on her banners when she came out, the first banner and rerun.
this video series just seems to confirm my longstanding suspicion that nobody besides youtubers and TC's actually play furina+bennett

I use it when I feel like playing forward vape Furina with Klee+Kazuha, but it's definitely an uncommon pair for the average Genshin player.
The only other team I'd expect to see those 2 together is because carry Xiangling is vaping with the 4th slot being flex hydro.
I used that but not in the way you think, Furina + Kazuha + Jean + Bennet.
Not true, Klee's best team involves both of them. I think it's a similar case for Gaming, Wanderer, Diluc, and others
If they tracked floor 9 & 10 rates, Venti would be S-tier. The trash mob braindead clear king.
There is a team comp that I have tested for abyss and I personally think it is somewhat good for Emilie .Childe ,raiden , dehya
Totally understand the appeal behind Zhongli but I'm perfectly happy just using Layla if I need a shield, she's a little underrated.
The thing that kills the four star shielders (both Layla and Kirara) is the 12s uptime, 12s recharge. It doesn't provide a bit of overlap and it is too short to fit well into rotations. So whereas it is pretty common to run Zhongli in place of a healer, you don't really get that as much with the two four stars.

I also think clorinde is very underrated. I think she suffers the syndrome as nilou being underrated cuz neuvilette. I think PPL don't think highly of aggregate bcz of hyperbloom and if they want to play chev their first option is probably arlecchino.
Not even Arle, problem with her overload team is that she's a straight downgrade from Raiden. Too many units (Xiangling, Sara, Bennet, even Chev herself) would appreciate extra energy she gives. And problem with aggravate is that your best option is Nahida, but you'll also need to swirl.. pain.

I think they should really give Venti's burst a buff on its ability to gather enemies... they already fucked it up with Neuvillette that just stays in the middle of the room with a shield, spins around and have the same effect anyway.
It's kind of hypocritical now to say that he will break aoe scenarios when Neuvilltte is just spinning his way out of multiwave enemies...
If not instatenous make it so he has way bigger aoe with longer duration and each tick starts to apply his skill weight reducing effect slowly so that eventually he captures enemies on his vortex.
His vortex should just disable movement and movement abilities of un-pullable enemies/bosses. No more BS underground Dodge during his vortex.
The neuvillette thing is an exploit that they attempted to fix, but this fan base is so rabid that they threatened to sue Hoyo for fixing a bug.
Also rework some of his cons. Double arrows while attacking doesn't benefit him at all.
@@danielhounshell2526 Problem is, they were aware of that exploit for a long time, it was featured by several CCs and did nothing. I'm sure if it was fixed during his release, the backlash would have been less and people would have understood (most of them) they did the same with Raiden and changed descriptions.

Navia plunge is so underrated.. it clears so fast specially in this cycle.. in fact, my Neuvillette is the one struggling in the abyss.. I guess it's because I put Furina with Navia and Neuvillette is stuck playing hyperbloom with Zhongli, kuki, and yaoyao.. but yeah, Navia plunge is so strong and underrated..
Happy to be that one of few people who used Clorinde. I also don't get the hate for her. People expect every new DPS to be like Neuvi or Arle, which is stupid, of course some DPSes won't be as strong, which doesn't mean they're not strong in general. Maybe it's because of the weapon? I don't have her BiS, but I had additional Mistsplitter, so that's what she's using and I'm very happy with her performance (ClorindeC0R1 Mistsplitter, Fischl C6, Nahida C1R2, Kirara C6 Sap Wood).
my problem is that I never seem to get lucky with swords so I just don't have any dps swords besides the shop one. sword dps characters scare me for that reason lmao
@@eggi4443 Afaik both craftable sword and BP sword from Fontaine are good F2P options for her. But yeah, weapon banner is massive scam, although recent update made that 160 wishes are guarantee for a weapon that you want instead of 240, so it's not that bad. However, I still wouldn't recommend it unless you already have all waifus you want and their cons (most of the time C1 / C2 > Weapon). I'm something between dolphin and a whale and I have weapons only for my best girls IF secondary weapon on WBanner is what I also want.

I love when a DPS unit has a higher usage rate than almost every single buffer in the entire game.
It’s actually crazy that he has a higher usage rate than Kazuha, a universal buffer, in an abyss with a Hydro immune boss😵💫
kachina is also a good teamate for neuvillete cuz of the 40% dmg bonus. Though I expect his bis team to be him, kazuha, furina, xilonen as xilonen provides healing if there are less than 3 elemental types
Xilonen heals so long as there at least 2 PECH units on the team.

@user-ir1mr4bj1e She has three machines, which are Geo by default but change to PECH elements if she has PECH teammates. If most of them are Geo, they do damage. If they aren't, they heal.
2 PECH means only 1 Geo, which means no Geo majority, no heal.
For me it was Clorinde, Neuvi, Xiao and Navia for this abyss cycle

These numbers aren't a surprise for me. IMHO, this is the result of the awful artifact grinding system that effectively blocks people enjoying new characters. Even 4*s requires resource and time investment as 5*s and to bring new characters up to "abyss speed" sometimes is not worth the time spent in getting garbage artifacts for weeks. Same if you want to use old characters with new artifact sets - too much time and resources required. I would have liked to get Navia, Clorinde, Wrio and others but I really did not want to spend time for artifacts; while people like ZhongLi, Neuvillette and Raiden National at the time were well worth the investment due the cost to FAST performance they have. A shame for cryo tho, I remember how Ganyu used to be powerful and comfy at the same time.

nah fr, i have both itto and navia but i still use itto much more often, hes so satisfying to play and does more dmg than her too overall
navia made that transition of being easier to use with other elements, not to mention a c0 navia does more damage than a c6 itto.
@@dubstepforever99 that's kind of exaggeration now, of course navia hits 200-350k per full shot but that's not like every second. a c6 itto can hit 250k E skill then 100k swings nonstop after.

I do wanna say I do freeze ganyu with furina, Charlotte and venti, and it does VERY well. Ganyu and venti are a very underappreciated combo with freeze as venti seriously spikes ganyus damage with the grouping and how her burst works, and about 80% of enemies are ventiable when frozen as they’ll at least get slowly sucked in to the center.
It's really cool to use Emilie on Raiden's team. She seems much more versatile than I thought.
They don't need to sell Kazuha because the community is selling him for Mihoyo. Even though no character is truly a must pull soo many people say he is.
I imagine Clorinde's lower use rates are due to people not having Chevreuse. Her overloaded team just feels more comfy to play, imo, but you can only play it if you managed to get Chevreuse who has only been on one banner ever.
Not just one banner ever: run on Yoimiya/Raiden specifically. Yoimiya is quite unpopular and Raiden is notably another Electro on-fielder so you had to be one of the few who wanted Raiden *and* Clorinde.

Raiden national is just so fun.
20% burst damage increase, energy generation makes rotation so much smoother i can just turn my brain off and not think about xiangling’s energy. Im hoping to get her weapon soon and even chevy.
what I noticed while watching this video, we have 7 standart 5 stars, but not every element and not even every weapon, that sucks, if you get accidently a good polearm but all polearm 5* are limited.

@@imo098765 I meant characters, 7 standart 5* character (dehya tighnari, qiqi, jean, keqing, diluc, mona) and in these 7 are neither all 7 elements nor all 5 weapon types. But a good 5* polearm. So whan you get jade spear you can give it a 4* or need to wait for a 5*.
As a returning player Clorinde has been carrying me, really sad seeing her so under appreciated :(

Absolutely wild to me that Clorinde has such a low usage rate, she's so versatile with her teammates and is easily one of the strongest characters on my account alongside Neuvi and Arle (although the fact I pulled her weapon might be affecting that). I also felt that this abyss was the first abyss in a while that wasn't seemingly tailored towards Neuvilette so it's very surprising to see that he's still dominating the charts.
I'm not terribly surprised by Clorinde being unpopular. She's barely in the storyline, her kit is both clunky and boring, and she lacks the sheer world-destroying power of Neuvillete or Arlecchino.

@@hedgeyes6411 I was more referring to Clorinde's unpopularity among people who have her on their account. 15% of people who own Clorinde used her in (what I felt was) a good Clorinde abyss is incredibly low, especially considering that you can build a Clorinde team with the leftover characters from building the other side.

I've been going for the fun factor with Clorinde, Emilie, Dehya, and Mika. I might switch Mika for Chevreuse but this team was not only fun but blew through one side of the Abyss for me.
Zhongli is just a beast in this 2nd half.
There's literally no reason not to bring him if you have him, unless you purposely want to make things harder for yourself 😂

I'd say he rates him mostly fairly. And I've heard various theorycrafters say basically the same thing. We have a lot more characters these days. That means more supports and more off-field damage dealers that reach out and touch. We have dendro, which likes hydro and electro, and doesn't really care about about anemo. We have Navia who wants 2 PECHs and a geo. We have Furina, who wants a healer, so often times sees Kaz getting downgraded to Jean. Basically, Kaz was at the height of his power when Vaporize was the dominant DPS build, utilizing teams that were relatively lackluster in terms of AoE, and often confined to Benny's circle. But that means he peaked right before 3.2.
Now, he's still a great character, with a lot of teams. But these days, it pretty much comes down to pick a pair of DPS you like, and get them the supports they want, and you're good to clear the Abyss, provided those two teams have sufficient elemental application across 4 of the elements. A bunch of those teams do like Kaz. But a bunch also don't need/want him.
I'm someone who started playing female only long ago, because of Benny, Zhongli, and Xingqiu warping the design space, and then Kaz on top of that to further cement that. And while it was sort of rough (but still quite doable) to do that early on, these days, it is a breeze.
watch every jello video since Clorinde's release and take a shot every time he glazes her. I have just lead countless to alcohol poisoning
I used noelle/furina/yelan/chiori(she's c1) on the second side, and it worked really well. The hardest chamber was the Tulsa because two of my party members were useless and I still 36*.
Chiori is great, I don't regret pulling for her.
i beat the abyss with 9 stars for the first time in this version and i agree with you about the clorinde
first half i used Clorinde Nahida fischl kokomi/mona (first time with kokomi and then another run with mona just for testing but also 9*)
second half with mono pyro arlechino zhongli xiangling bennet
i dont have chevreuse at all so the overload is not an option for my clorinde and it still hits like a punch, clorinde + fischl aggravate is just insane, and the fact that the overload team is a option realy makes me confuse of how low was her percentage of use

I agree with you on Clorinde, though technically the second side can be done easily by any overload team as long as it has Chevreuse.
Baizhu is gonna stay top 10 for eternity- i have him c1 -no need for field time and still does keep you alive no matter what enemies
the state of venti is crazy bc when i started playing he was broken and people were saying he was top-tier and a very valuable pull, he was the first 5* i wished for, during his first rerun
Hopefully, the pyro archon can save us from the Xiangling reign of terror. Im sick of Bennett and Xiangling being the only good options for pyro supports. Pyro sure isn't hurting for DPS with Hu Tao, Yoimiya, and of course, Arlecchino. Pyro archon should stick to the support role as all archons have tended to. Mualani needs a good pyro applier.

I like clorinde, but people are obsessed with aggrevate on her. I hate her aggrevate teams and prefer chevruse or furina quickbloom.
But if you have chevruse you probably have raiden. So most people with chevruse wouldn't bother getting clorinde.
It's surprising to see Chevreuse so low. Arle overload carried me in the second half. A lot of people believe that you need her C6 to play her, but I have been using my C4 Chev since 3.4, and she works incredibly well. C6 is, of course, a big buff, but if I own the character, I'll make sure to use him/her, no matter the constellations I have (unless we're talking Dori, I had to get C6 Dori before using her on the absys lol).
Honestly could see it being bc Chevreuse has yet to rerun since her debut. People probably don’t see the value in building her when they don’t have C6
@@MugWitch It's more the teaming restricting. Yes, she works fine for a couple of characters, but the opportunity cost is high. Unless there's a very powerful DPS that explicitly needs overload, Chev's usage rate will never be that high, especially as, over time, more people get her as offbanner/standard.

Chiori will always be my skip regret. Especially with how easy is the rotation of monogeo with the addition of Kachina if you don't have Albedo.
Every time there are geo shielded enemies my Navia saves my ass. I will never regret pulling her signature even when it was a waste of wishes (I got 2 Mistsplitters and then her weapon).
I put one of my Mistsplitters on Keqing. Don't even use Ayaka.

That said, Chiori with cons is still quite handy, and I know I won't be swapping out my C4 Chiori for Xilonen. But then, I view my Navia as Chiori support, rather than the other way around. And the two do work nice together... this Abyss, Chiori had the most kills, and Navia the hardest hit. One slaughters the trash, the other trashes the bosses. But I do have other plans for the Jagyaru =)

14:25 My Beidou build is Floor 11 capable only because for the same resin to get her to floor 12 capable, I could also build basically any new 5* to get more reliable damage (and with Imaginarium theatre, two somewhat useful characters has value).
As you mention, getting high crit and ER is a lot of farming.
Venti just suffers from heavy enemies and being released early so his cons are weak too
None of Venti's cons are worth getting, if you using VV on him. Its near useless

18:25 they still have one golden chance to buff and balance not only Venti but all characters of the game, I'm talking about unlock the lv 100 of the character, with more levels to skill and ultimate and also a new passive, I've saw this in other games and I'm pretty sure Hoyo had this extra room for improvement available. they can Buff a bit more or less buff depending on specific characters if they need a lot of help or if they are already very overpowered they can just have a non battle related new passive like, Neuvillette can now walk over water with the skill like Furina for example, not usable in Abyss but op for exploration, and Venti could have one passive that improve the area affected by his ultimate but shortening it's time duration and additionally make enemies touched by it move really slow for the duration of the ultimate (like sandevistan on Cyberpunk slowing the clock even in the Abyss) that would actually lore accurate giving the connection between Barbatos and Isteroth, the Goddess of time this would bring him immediately back to meta cause everyon would like to take advantage of this time dilatation feature.
They need to let venti pull all heavy enemies to center but not lift in the air.
Thinking about Cyno, he actually has the same character need as the on-field Cryo and Hydro characters right now. He could really use an off field pyro applicator that has enough application to allow him to overload all his hits during his long duration. Overload actually has a pretty decent EM scaling, and Chev’s res shred and attack buff lasts long enough and persists between waves. I don’t know who his last spot teammate would be, Fischl and Sara are both too short, maybe Iansan will do something for him.
Cyno has the same problem Xiao had, his best teammates would have prefer more field time swapping in and out keeping ER and elemental application high
Like Nahida, if you kill the people she tagged with skill during Cyno burst, well RIP sub-dps and dendro application
idk its just me but whenever i use chlorinde(c0r1), shes gives 100% ayato experience for me but somehow worse, her skill duration is just too fast and just a single bad thing happen is a major dps loss, mobs need to alight perfectly to get that pen aoe benefit which require you to move and waste her already short duration, slightly better dmg in perfet scenario but i dont think its worth it for all the drawback i have to deal with, its my skill issue for sure but if a lot of chlorinde owner prefer not to deal with that then perhaps its her issue
I literally just pick my team without ever looking at the enemies anymore and take whatever I can get. There's something really fun about doing that

For chlorine, you can use baizhu, Furina, and Nahida as teammates.
I really didn't like neuvillete's playstyle so I decided not to pull him. Definitely a weird feeling when it's just assumed *everyone* is using him. I don't necessarily want to make it harder for him, but I do kinda wish future abyss cycles deprioritized his niche for awhile ...
I hope the new enemy setups to discourage Neuvilette won’t be as lazy as the ungroupable enemies to counter Venti, rifthounds to counter Zhongli, and discarding the frozen mechanic for bosses…
Maybe for an anti-Neuvilette, they could make enemies that make a shield if an attack passes all the way through them? (It may also affect Sethos, Xiangling, and Navia but oh well.)
Ah yes, my bloom team making the cut. I swear NILOU is my “oh this is hard” character- any challenging content I use her and I don’t have to think everything just dies🥹 and yoimiya too lol! I see them being used and I wonder “who are the other people using yoimiya and NILOU”

The lack of reruns makes sense tho, like I say i only managed to snag 1 copy on her first banner and I got a single con out of the standard yesterday, if she's only ever gonna run with raiden it's gonna be hard to get c6
I totally agree with you Jello Ever since Chevy come out it comes an upgrade to existing overloaded team and the last 2 chamber of the abyss on the second can easily conquered by overloaded team.

venti does not need a buff lmao. the issue with venti is that when he works he is pretty much the most broken unit in the game. Hoyo literally has to design endgame to play venti unplayable because otherwise he just solos
