God thats an old one. The tall guy disappeared many years ago while Tommy Boshers continues to hang in there. I dont recall ever seeing the Red Sled completed either!
The custom graphic work was true artistry. Just amazing but I would be dismayed at having created a beautiful logo and then have to do it all over again on the other side!
I remember seeing and drooling over a Mark Donahue AMX in the 70's at a AMC dealer. It had a rear deck spoiler, 4sp Hurst shifter, orange paint and a 401 4bbl engine. I wanted one soooooo baaaaaad!!!!!!
Yeah, I've Watched Several Videos About It & I Just Think It's Remarkable What You Guys Did To That Ol' Car! Don't Know Why It Showed Up On My Grid But I'm Glad It Did.
I would have added a storage space and a switch panel to the console. A light in the back end for the passenger floor also. Nice job though. That AMX color would have been perfect for the Impala!
I know I watched this build and don’t remember but how/why did he do all that fabrication on that awesome center console without having the seats in place and the hole in the floor for the four-speed? I think he said he was going by factory measurements but that’s still crazy.
Yea, I would have been pulling the seats in and out, sitting in them to see if the console felt at the right height, etc. Maybe they did and just didn't show it?
While I'm partial to a more "period correct" resto-job, there's no arguing that there's a lot of skills going in that Chevy! Sure, I'd like to see all the tinwork going back on, but the airbrush work is top notch. (Even 11 years later!).
How is he going to finish the joining panel seams upper & sides ? I'm guessing body filler /bondo why doesn't he take it up a notch it's great using all the vendors and metal hammers and shapers and shrinkers to finish it off with bondo take it up a notch other than body filler like soider / LED finish it something very high or skill set that's all I would do it but then again who am I I don't have a TV show I have a body hammer and pretty skillful toolbox not knocking it just put a little twist on it
I saw a post from him somewhere about when he left. He said that doing the show was pretty much all consuming and did not leave time for much else. Given the intricate nature of what they do, it does not seem like the kind of show where the host can just show up and do a few things and have unseen others doing most of the work. However, there is that one guy on many of the episodes with the deep voice who talks a lot but never seems to pick up a wrench.
Does anyone else notice all the safety hazards in this video? Why the hell are you welding and fabricating without safety glasses and gloves. I could go on all day...😂
Hello my name is Kendall I’ve finally got my dream car a1968 Oldsmobile 442 I have been watching this show for years I was wondering if you guys would be interested in redoing it for me in Cincinnati oh like 4 hours away from Detroit if’ so please respond I’ve got a brain tumor not deathly but I’m pretty sick I’d like tell you more about it if your interested thank you have a nice day
Great video content. But shopclassictruckparts.com just goes generically to your website without landing in anything to do with truck parts. I looked for a minute but found nothing to do with parts when the "shop" link went to video content for sale. If you can't land in actual classic truck part don't make such a specific site link. I was disappointed. I'll just use lmctruck.com it works great. Yes it is that simple to loose a potential sale. But remember I was willing to try your site first. I'm just not going to hunt for it.
I'll never understand why these guys don't use hand, eye, and head coverings when painting. That stuff takes forever to get out and is HORRIBLE for your eyes/skin!
I was hoping to watch a video showing a restoration or rebuild of a 61 Chevy Impala. That effort turned out to akin to watching a dyslexic pin ball machine falling down a flight of stairs, while being bashed by an angry 500 pound gorilla. No step 1), 2), 3), 4) etc! You guys are all over the place! I could not stand searching through countless videos trying to find the next stage. So many steps are missing, so little information. This was designed for TV entertainment not education or DIY. Incredibly frustrating. Will never watch another video from these producers. Thumbs down.
I remember seeing this particular episode on tv many years ago. Still in awe about the paint work
That metal work, too!
what year? i thought this is new
My first time seeing an emblem painted like this. I’m in awe. Such great talent!!
Nice to have an unlimited budget, infinite tools and exceptionally skilled craftsmen.
What I always loved about these shows, was they showed you the tools, usually budget friendly mind you, and ways to do it without the tools as well
God thats an old one.
Especially when the actual emblems look way better
The hand-painted Chrome emblem! WOW!
This car proves that ANYTHING is possible
Dude that graphic work was amazing
Shitload of patience required for that air brushing. Much respect!

Nice job on the paint and custom graphics.
Great job on the console in the '61...I worked as a metal fabber at GM in Pontiac , Mich. & can appreciate good fab work.
Rick Bacon and Tommy Boshers are PERFECT there GOOD at what they do
Yeah, I've Watched Several Videos About It & I Just Think It's Remarkable What You Guys Did To That Ol' Car! Don't Know Why It Showed Up On My Grid But I'm Glad It Did.

Tommy and Rick 💯
They probably sweeten their cereals with washers n bearings 🤙
Can't wait for the interior
Damn good job on that impala badge beautiful work
So fine my 409! The bubble top Impalas from the early '60 are the best Impalas!
Nice detail painting!!
I'm GLAD that this 2 R working again
Damn, you have some painting skills Rick! I'd like to see way more of your painting talent showcased.
406👍's up HP thanks again for taking us all along with you for the great show
The Mark Donahue AMX was hot! Racing orange, rear deck spoiler, 401v8 w/Hurst 4sp shifter. I wanted one baddddd!!!!!
So glad you putting period correct 409!
I wanted to see emblem a little longer. Then those squares for other videos covered it. But beautiful car.
Ad squares are so stupid.
Awesome informative Video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
lmao at first sight 4:49 i thought he was gonna hammer with his elbow 💪
I would have added a storage space and a switch panel to the console. A light in the back end for the passenger floor also. Nice job though. That AMX color would have been perfect for the Impala!
Nice job guys

7:15 I’ve seen CORN STARCH used in the mix for a satin type finish.
PPG 2021 clear is super nice cuts and buffs to absolute perfect water glass look....my choice is Transstar clear now just as good but not so pricey

Wow! Nice amazing beautiful pic 18:08!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
if you love freedom, Cars and combustion engines, it's still at stake, ! So, November 3rd Guys, don't miss !
Anyone else having trouble getting to the website mentioned around 8:00? Its like it doesn't exist
That center counselor can break and arm
Damn I can't find what episode did they paint the wheel black.
Quick Question...Would the final paint finish come up better if you wet sanded the color before applying the clear coat? Or does it not really matter?
Hello guys, is the next episode available?
Was this the car that showed at the 2013 SEMA Show? Sure looks like it...!
So what gauge do you estimate the body pan was stamped out of?
Any update on this project??
Has this build even been completed yet?
Are we not going to talk about how the stripes are too thin on the Rebels. Great airbrush work though!
Where are the rest of the videos of this car?
Interested to see what kind of buckets they use?
In episode one they went on about how unique the bench was then they threw it away and put in the console and off the shelf seats...
also im doing a 1960 el camino any body ave a paint recomendation
Good
see it painted on a episode in 23 nov 2019...hmmm
I would have just stripped and painted the original emblem mat black.
Where is episode 7 and 8?
how many FPS does it get it fsx?
You guy's just scream big dollars. Nice to see your finished project but we are not all millionaires.
axilent job from pakistan
Can you get the Rd28 engine?
My God how many commercial do you need in 20 minutes
i cant belive its a 2 door post y all that work for a post?
Too bad their shop classic trucks site isn’t active anymore
This is so ridiculously choreographed. Real life is eminently more complex and challenging
I wonder where red sled is at today?
2
Why no gold paint then red paint like others do???

when he said ls400 i was thinking about Lexus ls400
should have kept the bench
This is all just a bunch of syndicated shit that you saw 20 years ago.
What happened to Brent?
I think this was another case of one host drifting away and another taking their spot

I don’t think you did a very good job showing the end result
😁✌🖖👌👍 😎
i would have kept the Original Bench seat for Red Sled, just saying.
Does anyone else notice all the safety hazards in this video? Why the hell are you welding and fabricating without safety glasses and gloves. I could go on all day...😂
This is a Biscayne, not an Impala.
My God this has Channel way to many Ads!

7:59 classictruckparts.com is not a real place

Very nice, but way to many commercials, more commercials than video, sorry wont watch another,
a black stripe on a dark red car looks awful
I'm the one negative comment!!
What happened to the PPE😕
61インパラ全部早く見せろや
Red is such a terrible color on a impala seriously it would look better with a silver gray feather

Too many stinking ads.
2 10 second commercials for a free video, how will we survive?
first
second...
How not to weld safely
Never been a fan of painted emblems. It looks so cheap and tacky to me. I dont care how well its done.
OMG THESE OLD MUSCLE CARS WERE SUCH PIECES OF SHIT LOL HONDA CIVICS HAVE MORE POWER NOW THAN "MUSCLES CARS" HAD LMFAO
