Thanks for talking about this man, I’m in the market looking for an older year he’ll cat maybe 16-17. This is something I was trying to hear and you explained it amazingly!!
Congratulations for being in a position to get a hellcat. They're amazing cars. I'm glad I can help you be informed. Your kind comment is what inspires me to make this videos. If you have any specific questions feel free to message me.
I have only 1 car, my hellcat, it takes me and my kids everywhere we go. MPG alone does not accurately depict the daily driving of a hellcat. Imagine pulling up to almost any street light almost anywhere and knowing you can beat almost any car next to you to the speed limit. Imagine no one having enough power and torque to close that gap you're trying to hit on the freeway. Imagine people constantly staring at your car, commenting on it. Imagine males from 8 months to 80 years deriving pleasure from hearing your car go down the street. I could go on and on. The pleasure and fun for both you and others isn't represented in MPG, but it is a real, constant part of driving a hellcat. It's one of those milestone cars, it turned the auto world on it's head, super cars were in the 500 hp range when it came out, it affected every vehicle in every category, it's a special car. I have no idea how much I pay for gas, kind seems like I always spend around 100 at the gas station but I get other stuff while I'm there. 700 hp, in my case, to the ground, supercharged, over 4k pounds, that's like the anti hyper miler triffecta. I will say that my manual is capable of better gas mileage than the automatic but I've never exercised that ability. In order to drive that car, the way everyone wants you to, and the way it should be driven requires one to have MPG as a non factor in daily driving. That's before you take into account the glorious noises it makes. The gas pedal should be called the happy pedal. I drive a 15 hellcat challenger billet with a matte black hood roof and trunk it has brass monkey wheels and updated badges, it has over 101k miles and I'm never getting rid of it, I'm going to hand it down to my kids, not because it's ever or maybe some day going to be worth money, but because it's a special car, that is playing a special part in their lives. None of that and much more is in any way accounted for in MPG.
Agree! The video is for informational purposes only. Everything you said is true about hellcat ownership. I'm not complaining about mpg, I'm just hoping that those pining to want to own a hellcat will be informed by the cost associated with driving around in one. I'm keeping mine forever too. Then I'll but a Viper acr to race in the track when I retire.
You sound obsessed with this car, I wonder if your kids are going to appreciate you handing this car down to them(probably at over 300k miles) or if they would have preferred a savings or stock account that could have been funded by all the excess fuel this gas wasting car just burns each month.
@@fabiomurillo3000 no need to wonder, they would have my head if I got rid of it, they have grown up in it, rode all over the country in it, guess they value experiences over money. Some things are worth more than money, buying a car to let it sit is a waste of money. My children much like gearheads from the past, want my car because it's a part of me, a part of their lives, it makes a simple drive to the grocery store fun, it enriches their lives, I doubt they will ever sell it either regardless of miles, it's because of all those miles they want it.
Thank you. You can fill up once or twice a week if you drive it less and don't really get on it. But what's the point in that, these cars are way too much to drive, so I drive it like I stole it....😁
I’ve been looking for a video like this because I’m in the market for a car now and I’m used to the gas in scats because I started with a Daytona 392 and now (because I have kids) I have a SRT jeep which I drive about 1 hour each day to get to and from work but I know that tank in the jeep is larger than the cats so I was just trying to gauge that costs lol because I get about 16mpg but a full tank is about 80$ at about 4.10 a gallon and nets me about 380miles to the tank.
I own a Charger Hellcat too, but no way I could afford to DAILY Drive it to this extent. Thousands a month? HELL NAW! I maybe fill the tank once or twice a month.👌🏾
I drive my 19 dodge challenger hellcat redeye every day and spend about $300 a month...never drive in eco mode(actually uses more fuel)I drive custom mode and get 17-18 mpg
@@BoysToysHellcat average about 80-85 mph both ways roughly 53 miles round trip...when I was in eco mode it only got 11-12 mpg at 80-85 mph....vehicle loves to run fast....around town about 15mpg....but I know it will go down once it's tuned and all my aad suspension parts are added🤣
@@BoysToysHellcat I spoke in general brother, if you have love for cars you buy, some people like that car but they don’t buy for gas me personally I love hellcats
I did say how often I gas up in a week. The number of miles is irrelevant to the hellcat because it depends on how you drive it. You can easily use up half a thank in 30 miles if you're in track mode and romping on the gas pedal. Dodge says it'll run out of gas in 16 minutes if you just floor it the whole time.
Good info thanks and I'm with you happiness all that matters if you can make sure bills are paid. I'm in Challenger Scatpack myself thinking of going into a Hellcat CHITOWN SALUTE 🫡

As far as me being obsessed, I think everyone that does major repairs and work to their car is at least a little obsessed.
I could not have said it any better. Shared experience is more valuable than any money or material things out there. You are 100% correct
That's why my 22 redeye charger is my weekend toy 🤣
😁 I just like driving it too much.
Insurance for cat in Memphis for me at 22 would be 2k it’s self
But imma get a gtr or a Gallardo next

@@BoysToysHellcat exactly

Gas tank is 13.2 gallons
I like how he said it’s cheaper then a therapist
Keep up i see in you a great youtuber
Thank you. I appreciate the encouragement.
I was saving up to buy a challenger.. i guess thanks to you i reconsidered my decision.. i might just go with a fast tesla lol
Glad I can help. Tesla is cool, but no sound is a no go for me.
@@BoysToysHellcat i guess it's a good deal for me to exchange the sound with 2000 bucks monthly 😂.. better to go off with that 300k house 😉
You're a smart man.
My Tesla costs me $8.00/mo to drive in electricity costs
Did you a hellcat ?
smiles per gallon for sure
Holy crap. How many miles you driving a day?
Not a lot. Question should be: How often do I mash the throttle to hear the whine???😎😉🤣
Do a hard quick pull. you will see how 5 bucks worth of gas will be going away in 2 sec
🤣 guilty as charged!

Hellcat has 18 gallon tank, with my driving I'm lucky to get 230 mile range. It's mostly 200 miles range around 11-13mpg.
Gas in California $6.39 for 91 for my Scatpack.
😪 it has been steady here this past week at $5.25 for 93 octane
😂😂😂cool video bro..
Thank you
4 5 times a week??
Yup
I have a 2008 Hyundai sonata v6 shits a gas guzzler so I’m pretty used to the prices I’m already paying like $600 or $700 a month on gas alone 😢
Ummmmmm that's not just a hellcat I'm going through the same with my rt
Smiles per gallon
@BoysToysHellcat always until police get behind me then it's granny driving
@livingthelife5468 🤣🤣🤣
Oil change once a Year?! 😂
Every 6k miles is the interval. Depending on how much you drive it could be once a year
How is it compared to your old scat pack?
Scatpack was more economical. Let me check my old videos on how much I was spending on Gas.
I was only spending about $200/mo on the scatpack.
