- This week we are staying in KL and really excited to try the famous Malaysian dish, Nasi Lemak!! We have travelled around Malaysia lots of times and for some reason we have never tried it (sorry)!
We visit Village Park Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur and try Nasi Lemak ayam goreng and Nasi Lemak ayam rendang.
Malaysia has a huge foodie culture and Nasi Lemak is an absolute must try food during your visit here. This country really does have the best food in Southeast Asia and we are excited to take you with us in this video to show you!

Yes, you've made the correct choice, The Village Park Nasi Lemak. This place serves one of the best, if not the best Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng Rempah(Fried chicken in local herbs) in the city.😊
Should try Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu at TTDI but of coz cant beat the Village Park Ayam Goreng Berempah.

For a first timer - thats the best way of tasting nasi lemak. The rice on its own, then with sambal. And then with its side dishes.
Anyway, nasi lemak can differs depending on the sambal - there is no specific way to say which is best.
The traditional way of serving lemak should be hot, wrapped with banana leaf - that's the most authentic!

You can buy sambal from the restaurant. Put sambal in refrigerator and you can re-eat sambal again and again. Sambal can last for 1 week without going to stale if you store it in refrigerator.

Lemak other than fat it also means creamy. So in the context of nasi lemak, it can be translated to creamy rice.

U can eat at the Ramly burger stalls...around KL area. But sometimes I eat at Ramly Food Services Sdn Bhd, Lot 35, Persiaran Mewah, Kawasan Perindustrian Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, 56000, Kuala Lumpur, WP Kuala Lumpur. @@bevetravels

Absolutely, just came back from one and the half month (16 January till 1 March) European Trip (Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain and UK), one of the things that I missed very much is Malaysian food especially Nasi Lemak. Thanks God for making Malaysia the food heaven of the word.

The best nasi lemak is wrapped with banana leaf and u can find it in northern region states mostly is penang, Kedah and perlis, it's very cheap and worth it

You absolutely went to right place for Nasi Lemak! Saw ur other video where Eve said couldn’t understand the hype for Roti John, same girl same! 😂 we might hve same taste bud, or higher threshold for tasty food lol. Anyway if you guys go to Village Park again, can also try their Lontong. Can try Nasi Briyani at Mahbub @ Bangsar, or Hameediyah @ Damansara. If you guys willing to travel for food, can try best satay (Satay Willy) at Sg. Ramal Fodod Court,Kajang. Their satay daging, meat is a bit tough but their chicken satay is bomb! For Mee Kari, Roti Jala and selections of kuih, you guys can try these at Kueh @ Shah Alam.

1. Nasi Kandar. (I’m from Penang so its hard to suggest good Nasi Kandar in KL as the best one you cud get is actually from Penang, but this Nasi Kandar Kalut @ Seksyen 7 Shah Alam is good. This one actually similar to one you had before, Kedah yellow rice style Nasi Kandar, go for their signature Ayam Goreng. Penang style Nasi Kandar you can go to Restoran Kudu bin Abdul, and must try is their Ayam Goreng Bawang. And there’s only one Restoran Kudu in KL, go to right one. Last time we went, nearby shop try to scam and said same Kudu but they are not ya 😂.)
2. Dim Sum/Chinese Food- you can try variety of Halal Dim Sum at Restoran Minmax, just nearby KLCC. For dimsum they only sell from morning to 11am/12pm noon, try their salted egg buns, siew mai, scallop dumpling etc. And must try their crispy snow mushroom in salted egg yolk. Sedappp!
3. Thai Food- go to Black Canyon, they have few beanches all over KL. Their tomyam is nice. Can just order by set.
4. This is not Malaysian food but if you guys crave for good dessert/pastry or cakes can head to Kenny Hills Bakers. Must try is their Halal version of Tiramisu cake (one covered in caramelised nuts) and Peach strudel.

Try also "Nasi Lemak Pandan" ( green rice ). It is use "Pandan leaves".
Pandan leaves are used to produce a green color and a fragrant smell in nasi lemak.
You also can get Nasi Lemak Strawberry ( pink rice ) in Cameron Highland, Pahang.
This sounds great! We have been the Cameron highlands and loved the strawberries there!😆

It's not really a national dish... It's just one of the many breakfast dishes we have, and this one just happen to be a staple in the west coast of the peninsular. East coast states have more, like nasi kerabu and nasi dagang, which you should try.

Btw nasi lemak is the nasinal dish for malaysia is because how divers nasi lemak is.. like malaysia we all divers same goes to nasi lemak.. like the rice is malay the sambal is india and the little condiment is like chinese.. so how divers is nasi lemak and that why is the nasional dish in malaysia..
