❤️ your swing. Working on the swing and seeing good results with straight shots. I’m keeping the ball in the short grass. 👍

    Hi Trish
Really enjoyable video, just wish it was a tad longer. The recipe idea is a nice change from the dullness of a "pre shot routine" Looking forward to whatever is next on the menu.

Trish, how does this type swing affect the dynamics of our clubs-if at all, namely the shafts? Seems to me that the gradual build up of centrifugal force would put far less flex into the shaft, regardless of club head speed. Are there club fitment parameters that change? Thanks.

That is an excellent question.… Truly, I believe the more flexible. The shaft that still fits us would be the best option. Obviously if your swing speed is say over 100 miles, an hour with the driver, you still need a firmer shaft.
However, I am a firm believer, that the softer the shaft, the better the field.

Could you say more about swinging to the target- is your intention as a right handed player to swing from the backswing forward to right field, straight down the target line or to parallel left of the target line as you rotate? Thanks.

Hi there... thanks for the question.... I think of swinging down the target line to the finish...

Hi there, look for a video in the next couple of weeks and I will be happy to do one.
My guess is, there is too much tension in your forearms therefore your hands are the weakest part of the connection and that’s why you’re letting go. Relax your forearms and that should help

Swing club backward and forward in direction of the target….so if I hit it fat or top it that means I am not doing something in the recipe fundamentals getting ready for the swing or it is something outside of the recipe discussed in your video?

Without having seen your swing. My only guess is that you are swinging the club head toward the golf ball instead of toward the target. Again, my guess would be that you were using your hands and not your arms. That would be the most likely reason you are hitting it fat

Hi Trish. I'm enjoying your videos very much. Thank you for taking the time to make them. I had the pleasure of having a lesson with Mr. de la Torre at the Milwaukee Country Club back in the early 2000s. It was eye opening. Do you have any thoughts on single length clubs? It strikes me that the single length concept would work well with Mr. de la Torres principles.

Hi there, I'm sure it was eye opening.... I love the idea, and if I'm not mistaken... Manuel talked about it.... I'm sure he would have approved...

Trish, are there any touring players using the Ernest Jones, Manuel de la Torre, Trish B. method these days and if so who?

Hi there, thank you for your comment and your question. The closest one that everybody would know would be Bryson... He has modified it come up but the basic concept is the same

That's really interesting. I have tried the Graves institute golf swing based on Moe Norman's swing. They kind of claim Bryson, D. but they advocate a lot of tension in the swing is necessary and that leads to back pain for me. So, I stopped playing that way, although I had a lot of success with the swing. There is also a Scandanavian guy who teaches the Minamalist swing who worked with Moe Norman. His swing theory is much more like Bryson's. In addition, there is a pro who analyzes a lot of swings who calls Moe Normans swing a hands and arms swing. I went out to the range and used the swing thought of taking the club back with my hands to my shoulder or a bit lower, and swinging my upper, elbows raised, arms FORWARD. Man that worked really well and I did it in a much more relaxed way as does the Scandanavian guy and you do. Just a side. Moe Norman called de la Torre the best teacher ever.Go figure.

Hi… without seeing your exact issue.… The best I can offer you, is to relax the tension in your forearms, that is usually the culprit of why the hands, apart from the golf club.
