- Welcome to the new series 74 & more, episode #1. In this series we'll get the low down on crazy rides, breakdowns and different builders ideas on what helps them make the bikes they do. In this week's episode I sat down with Jake Smith who has an awesome story about his first ride on this shovel/pan. Sit down, relax and crack a cold one and enjoy.

Balls Deluxe!
The bikes cool. The wheels are freakin assume. I have been looking for a original set for 40 years.
How does a slab side aka panhead bottom work on a evo top end??
Here in America you don't see many people running car wheels anymore.. the Swedish style they're still running them.. I dig the old school long choppers.. I have never built a chopper but I've got 2 softails and one of them are going to be raked and stretched
😎👍😎.
Whats DVR..??
Death Valley Run i heard it was invite only
That's correct. Death Valley run, and it is invite only. Give me a few episodes of this series and I'll make sure to pry out all that information during the sit down. Thanks for watching.
I was going to ask that too.
@@houseofchoppersInvitation only? Why? Don't think I've ever heard of that run before. Don't know anything about it.

Great video. Love the chopper. I own a 75 FLH shovelhead. Have always wanted an old school style long chopper, but with rear suspension.
The swinger choppers look super tough if there done right, total support over here on the chop!
@@houseofchoppers Thank you. I appreciate that.
This is a killer video!!! Definitely hoping you can find time to do more of them.. house of choppers podcast would be cool...
I have considered the podcast before, just need to find someone else to hop on it with me so we can argue about the different styles haha
@houseofchoppers I think it would be a success especially if you let other builders come on via Skype.
Fuck yes!
inspiration for me
Glad it was! Thanks for watching
Those American Racing (Cal) mags are made of magnesium alloy. For a short time, Performance Machine offered up the same wheels made out of aluminum (I believe). I dig the stance of your bike. The two-into-one exhaust looks great too - like the old Alphabets (Cycle Shack) two-into-one exhaust. Best to you, Jake, and to your family.
I didn't know they ever did the American racing wheels in aluminum, man would it be sweet to get a set of those. Same to you!
@@houseofchoppers - Yeah. I'm not 100% sure those American Racing 12-spoke wheels were made from aluminum. A long time ago, I talked with a sales rep from Performance Machine, and I THINK he said those wheels were made from aluminum. Still, using those kinds of wheels in aluminum for a project would be a hit. I've noticed a lot of guys running those 12-spoke mags. I first took notice of them on a HA's bike which was featured in Choppers magazine. I know that Dick Allen ran an 18-inch American Racing wheel on the front of his, "Locomotion" Knuck. Thanks, HOC! Keep up the great work!
