Man, this is exactly the video I needed to see! I have converted all my lights on my 2008 Ford F150 Lariat to LEDs except for the turn signal lights in the front, until today. I bought a pair at Advance Auto Parts, installed them, then discovered the hyper flash going on, watched tons of videos saying to buy resistors (and I was thinking, nah, this shit looks over complicated), saw your video and THANK YOU!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I just recently upgraded from my stock halogens two very nice LED lights and I was hoping that I wouldn’t have hyper flash but I did and as soon as I saw this video I went back to the auto parts store bought one of these and haven’t had a problem since, thank you!
I went to CarQuest, they were very helpful and showed me the correct part but I was somewhat confused on where, etc. My impatience got the better of me but I saved $10 because after seeing this video ordered the part on Amazon for $8.99
Brilliant! Simply Brilliant. I hated the idea of cutting into factory wires with those lousy little clips (Canadian winters are rough on wiring) and all the talk about the heat from those resistors. So I ordered the part and it took 60 seconds to removed the old relay and remount the new. Worked like a charm. The replacement LED turn signals work exactly as they should. Thanks for posting the video and keeping it up.
Ik this vid is old now but you just saved me a huge headache. Was seconds away from installing resistors when I found this and decided to try the flasher instead. Far far easier and I don’t have to worry about those things burnin up. Preciate it.
@@michaelgarcia4110 I have an 08 but it should be exactly the same as your 06. Its super easy to install. Just reach under your dash and find the existing relay flasher, its mounted near the lower portion of the plastic dash and is black. Grab the assembly and simply slide it off of its mounting point by pulling it toward the front of the truck. Then all you need to do is install the new flasher and place the entire unit back on its slider so that it isn't dangling around. Kind of tough to explain in text but there are some videos on youtube if you want visual aid.
Incandescent front blinkers worked with the LED blinkers in the back , with this part, no problems. I removed the panel under the steering wheel, 2- 9/16 screws and then 4- 8mm, gave me complete access. 10 minute job.
omg... thanks a lot brother... I was stressing myself out wondering what the hell was wrong with my truck. I took out every fuse because my headlights, tail lights and hazard lights were no longer working. I went to O'reily and bought the Novita EP27 for about 18.00. Wouldve got ripped off taking this to the shop.
Glad I saw your video. I just put in resistors and it worried me how they got really hot, really fast. It works fine but I'm gonna try a new flasher and pull the resistors. With an 04 3-valve I need as few worries as possible! LOL!
Nice.. my car does not have wires to even place a resistor and wasn't really wanting to do so.. will be looking for this part as soon as i get my LED. Thanks
I wish all vehicles still had an external flasher unit, instead of it controlled by the BCM unit. This would definately eliminate the need for resistors.
I installed the new relay and that fixed the 04-08 F150 hyperflash. I also did Lasfit LED brake/turn/park tail light bulbs and the brake lights come on when the headlights are turned on (but only with the ignition switch on) Any ideas?
Just check your application the EP27 relay (any brand) and replace your oem relay. Did this on my 150, wife’s expedition and a friends raptor. If you have towed a trailer with leds ....most trailer sales know about this. It’s how they stop hyperflash when you but a $4k trailer. Lol
I added this same flasher unit along with LEDs in the front and rear and they would not flash at all when with the directional on along with the running lights. They flash normally without the running lights though. It seems as if 4 LEDs are just not enough draw and I need resistors on top of the flasher. Everything works fine with just the flasher, rear LEDs and front incandescent. I don't understand why yours works and mine doesn't. I have a 2008 F150.
Dave Joyal I have the same problem with my 2002 f 150. Now my 2001 ram and my 2000 jeep Cherokee they both work fine with just the flasher change not the f 150
OK LED FLASHER UNIT is great, but if you can't get to it without ripping the dash out,fit resistors but make sure you screw them to the inner METAL near to lights chassis whatever the body(METAL) is used to DISAPATE THE HEAT.
This won't work on '08-'11 Super Duty trucks because they don't use a flasher at all. They use a Smart Power Distribution Junction Box (SPDJB) instead. The "bub out" hyper-flash function can be turned off through the CAN-bus with a laptop by a dealer, unless you're smart enough to hack in.
Miguel Navarro you’re just replacing the flasher relay youd plug the new one in to where the old one came No mounting needed anywhere i didnt mount anything
Leveled- check your third break light. If you just changed it to an LED that could be the problem. I had to get a CANbus third brake lamp bulb cause I didn't want to install a resistor and it worked.
Unfortunately no it will not, the turn signal system is part of the electronics and CPU, you will either need relays or programming of the Ford CPU system to recalibrate the voltage tricking the CPU into thinking it’s correct voltage, since LEDs use less voltage than incandescent bulbs
This doesn't work on a 2002 f 150 may bad this does work if my dumb ass changes the Right relay (the blue one not the black one) thanks for the video 👍
On 07 Expeditions there is no flasher relay to switch out. You HAVE TO use resistors or switch out entire SJB but that still won't fix hyper flash from LED install. Do your homework bud!

Same here!!
Same

This is great information. Just did the LED conversions. This saves me a lot of headache
You Rock, no one at two part stores knew anything about this, showed em your vid and my truck blinkers are fixed. 2006 F 150 4x4 crew, 5.4 v8
I went to CarQuest, they were very helpful and showed me the correct part but I was somewhat confused on where, etc. My impatience got the better of me but I saved $10 because after seeing this video ordered the part on Amazon for $8.99

Steven Crowley do you have a F150? I have a 2006 f150... I’ll go buy this part but I’m not sure how you install it? Can you help me out?

I did this to my f-150. Works great! Don’t go and wast time and $$$ on inferior fixes.
wow! Thanks alot man. Just installed the ep-27 I got from advanced-auto. No more hyper flash.

very much appreciate! was looking for that specific relay. no more hyperflash.
This video deserves an endless amount of likes. Thank you my friend
Absolutely BRILLIANT !!!!!!! . Great video and saved me a load of time and money .. Thanks soooooo much for this !!!!
You saved me a lot of time! I'm about to head to autozone now lol
Great Info Thank You! I bought one for my truck but cant find that plug to plug it into? I have a 2014 Ford F150 Supercrew ... Please HELPPP
Your awesome !! Thank you for sharing this fix 🤙🏽
Damn Bro u just saved me a shit load of time! Win! 👍🏽
Thank you!!! Saved me a lot a trouble with my truck

do they sound like or close to the original flasher sound?
Definitely helped man! Thanks!!
Great video!! Saved me a lot of headaches!!
Tell me you are a shade-tree without telling me you are a shade-tree.

The newer Ford doesn't have a flasher module at all.Installing restorers put on the body.

Dave Joyal I have the same problem with my 2002 f 150. Now my 2001 ram and my 2000 jeep Cherokee they both work fine with just the flasher change not the f 150
Does it correct the backs as well?
OK LED FLASHER UNIT is great, but if you can't get to it without ripping the dash out,fit resistors but make sure you screw them to the inner METAL near to lights
chassis whatever the body(METAL) is used to DISAPATE THE HEAT.
Lol if you actually owned an F150 you'd know that you dont have to rip apart the dash at all to change the blinker relay.... just saying.

Thanks bro thos video helped me a lot!!!!
Just tried to install led blinker/driving lights and instead of blinking it makes a buzzing and no flash at all should this fix it?
Thank You it worked
Will this work for a 2011 Ford Expedition?
Thanks man, worked great for me.
You know if it would fix hyper flash on the dome lights.
Yah this was a huge help and saved me a whole lot of time & 💵... 👍👍
Just got it. Thanks
How did you mount the new flasher? I'm really curious here because I just put LEDs on the back and they are just blinking really fast? Pls
Miguel Navarro you’re just replacing the flasher relay youd plug the new one in to where the old one came
No mounting needed anywhere i didnt mount anything
Thank ya buddy!
I have a 08 ford expedition. I am looking for that switch. my left turn signal comes on by itself
i have a 2003 E-350 ford van would this work for me?
What brand and size/part number are you using for your turn signals???
Jose Lian I literally told those things in the video if you watch it
I did this switch it works thanks woohoo
What bulbs are you running front and rear?
I just bought this flasher and it indicates on the package that you can run a combination of both
Where u get ur brake pedal
Have you had a problem with your cruise control not working after you replaced the relay?
Funny how you say that.... mine no longer works now
Leveled- check your third break light. If you just changed it to an LED that could be the problem. I had to get a CANbus third brake lamp bulb cause I didn't want to install a resistor and it worked.
Will this work on 2011 f150 xlt

On my way to AutoZone right now
Donde se encuentra el fusible del aire acondicionado de una Ford f1502009
nice
This doesn't work on a 2002 f 150 may bad this does work if my dumb ass changes the Right relay (the blue one not the black one) thanks for the video 👍
The Beige Wonder well the video says 04-08 sooo
379ToLife True
Try to find it on a 2012 f150
Pedro Cardoza well my title clearly states 04-08 soooo
On 07 Expeditions there is no flasher relay to switch out. You HAVE TO use resistors or switch out entire SJB but that still won't fix hyper flash from LED install. Do your homework bud!
Kong 83 do YOUR homework
The video CLEARLY states this is for f150s of this era.......
Does this work on 2009-2014 models f150
Not if it's equipped with a SJB. In that case there is no flasher to change.
