There both the same no difference.eg and dc2 manual steering rack can only fit on the manual steering subframe. Your going to need a pinion from the manual steering rack
I am verry intrigued , owning an ej9 LHD,pure stock, just bought it ,year 2000,the steering rack is power but is leaking somewhere, my plan is to keep this steering rack ,delete power, and transplant that pinion ,my wish is from an eg3 ,that cost like 50euro whole SR,dc 2 is rhd and 180gpb on ebay ,whole SR
I did not use the eg stock sway bar because were the transmission is will not allow me to fit. And manual steering rack because since the body is light I dont need the extra help to turn plus is lighter and looks cleaner.
demboyzzz built okay I really appreciate the info... last question do you know if I go with the integra subframe will I then be able to run a front sway bar ?
The subframe in the integra is the same as the eg civic. All integra are powersteering subframe and some civic have power steering and manual subframe. The power steering subframe are the same and the manual sub frames are different than the power steering
All you need is you swap the frame is the eg subframe and lower control arm and also a steering rack either a manual or power steering one out of a del sol or eg civic
First your going to need eg bolts, manual steering rack, u fitting for the steering, compliance bushing, lca all eg, and the junk yard has the bushings
Okay there are 2 ways you can get them the cheap and correct way I would say is go to ur local junkyard and pull it because it is cheaper buy 200 bucks and you know it is the correct part. The second way is on ebay you can order everything separately but it will cost you way more money.
demboyzzz built okay where did you order your control arms from ? And also how much did the subframe and steering rack come out to at a junk yard ? I’m trying to compare with prices online
@@tamoorchughtai9267 thanks man, trying to achieve my first k swap for my ek. Still tryna figure out why the steering knuckle on the rack and pinion isn’t flush with my steering column. The teeth shows a lot in order for me to line it up with the two bolts behind the steering wheel
only video on youtube that's got straight to the point, and was informative.... great job boss!
Thxs
Useful short video 👍
The manual steering rack U Joint, did you use a EG u joint? Or do you by chance have a part number/link for it? Thanks a ton.
No the u joint on the steering you have to use off a ek civic because the diameter is smaller. I went to the junk yard and got it.
Heyya, apreciate what u done but from which EG(subframe) will fit plug and play, many of us cant source thhose badass DC2 parts
The eg subframe has to be a manual steering rack one if ur gonna mount a manual steering rack. Dc2 and eg manual subframe are the same
Manual rack from EG series ,or conversion? , which pinion you ve used for this? Dc2 or eg?
There both the same no difference.eg and dc2 manual steering rack can only fit on the manual steering subframe. Your going to need a pinion from the manual steering rack
Eg3 ,including, the cheapest ?

@@MCNDR-zq7wx ah okay good luck
Where can I find eg bolts for subframe? Ebay? Also need guidance regarding pinion & ujoint.
What exactly do I need from the eg subframe ? Not sure wt the parts are called doin a k24a swap into my ek hatch
What else do u need other than the union and the front lcas form a eg
Another question what bolts did you use for the eg subframe? I’ve heard they’re different
Yea all bolts are going to be for the eg.
Eg bolts fit right in. I got them from the junk yard.
Did you reuse all the ek front suspension parts or did you convert all to eg? LCA, compliance bushings etc...
Did you use a eg front sway bar also ? And how come to chose the Manuel steering rack over the power steering ?
I did not use the eg stock sway bar because were the transmission is will not allow me to fit. And manual steering rack because since the body is light I dont need the extra help to turn plus is lighter and looks cleaner.
demboyzzz built okay I really appreciate the info... last question do you know if I go with the integra subframe will I then be able to run a front sway bar ?
demboyzzz built is there any difference between the eg and dc subframe and steering ?
The subframe in the integra is the same as the eg civic. All integra are powersteering subframe and some civic have power steering and manual subframe. The power steering subframe are the same and the manual sub frames are different than the power steering
demboyzzz built okay so then I shouldn’t run a front sway bar then ?
what about the weight between Eg and EK subframe it really worth it to chenge this ?
My bad for late reply yes there is a huge weight loss when you go eg subframe.
demboyzzz built thanx a lot
Are you still able to use the ek shock forks for the eg lower control arm
Yes
Sorry I got back late but I did so another video explaining what I did with the drive train
All you need is you swap the frame is the eg subframe and lower control arm and also a steering rack either a manual or power steering one out of a del sol or eg civic
@@tamoorchughtai9267 i heard opposite about forks.
@@Ehren1337 no I’m using ek forks and I have plenty of axle clearance
Yo what are those mounts that attach inbetween the subframe and the chassis. I can’t figure out why my subframe won’t bolt up properly
First your going to need eg bolts, manual steering rack, u fitting for the steering, compliance bushing, lca all eg, and the junk yard has the bushings
What ujoint or knuckle you use for the rack pinion?
The u joint you will need from a 93 to 95 eg civic or del sol with manual steering. And the knuckle I used a 96 to 2000 ek civic
Thanks Bro 👊👍
@@luisd4x no problem let me know if you have more questions

I got my subframe and steering from the junkyard but I bought new lower control arms.

demboyzzz built wait I just saw your other response regarding the price bro 🤦🏻♂️
@@solidstreetrunz3956 lol I got my control arms from Ebay but in going to k tuned soon.
Did you have to change the knuckle, brakes and rotor, fork to Eg? Or can it all still be ek?
No just the lower control, u-joint, steering rack, eg subframe bolts, and eg compliance bushings. Brake rotors and stuff remain the same
