This was such a detailed video coverage from the airplane all the way to the subway station in Astoria, Queens! You're so dedicated in going through all the trouble by creating these informative videos with minimal editing to help your viewers plan their future trips. 🏆 Keep up with the awesome work, and thank you for sharing this video, AK! 🤗
Wow! You vlogged all the way to LHR from central London starting at an ungodly hour, a long flight and then immediately vlogging your homeward final leg from EWR. That is the American work ethic right there. Very entertaining, thank you
"Such a comprehensive and insightful guide! This video is a lifesaver for anyone navigating the journey from Newark Liberty International Airport to Manhattan and Queens.
Informative and nice travel experience on trains and subways , that airport looked quite easy to navigate 😎It’s always great to see lots of transportation vehicles 🙂These are so enjoyable and relaxing to watch and $18,65 from the Airport to New York sounds quite affordable 🙂Thank you for sharing this enjoyable and relaxing transportation video A K 🙂👍!!!
The PATH also goes to Midtown 33rd Street VIA Newark Penn Station as well as World Trade Center and Fulton Street, there is also Long Island Islip airport in Ronkonkoma and Stewart Airport in New Windsor as well as westchester county airport in White Plains
Thank you so much for this video, and for showing the commute in real time. You've made my trip planning decisions easier by showing everything exactly as it is.
Thanks for the tip about Global Entry, Ken. Sounds like a good thing to have. I can’t believe all the schlepping you did yesterday - first getting to the airport in London from Edgware Road and then from Newark to Astoria. I would have been exhausted. It’s terrible how many subway stations in NYC aren’t accessible. And then you did a livestream Monday afternoon!! I hope you had a good rest on Monday night!! Have a great Thanksgiving!!
19:30 P4 is an alt pickup/drop off area if the terminals are congested. It also has street access (unlike the railLink), and if you're parking long term, it's a little cheaper than parking directly at the terminal. However you're right, it's not easy to understand that at all for someone who doesn't know how EWR works!
Glad you're safely back in NY. Can't believe how much energy you have though, after an international flight still managed to take three trains then walk home wow.
I thought it was fairly easy and quick from Newark to Penn station. Now the trip to Queens is another thing..but your used to that. The 20$ bus is prob ok..it prob takes Holland or Lincoln tunnels.
Hi Ken 👋 Welcome back home 😊 I totally enjoyed the many London 🇬🇧 vlogs It's great to see entry into the US from an airport other than JFK. You must have been so tired after your early start and long day. Would you have been able to get a train at Penn Station ten connect to the N or W lines? Thank you very much. All your efforts are greatly appreciated
Hi friends! The Sesame Street float will perform at Macy's sometime between 11:00-11:15am on NBC. This will be Sesame Street's 47th year in the parade!! So thrilled to be a part of this annual tradition. See you Thursday!
Newark Airport is the closest airport to Manhattan people think because it says New Jersey it's not close! I worked for United and retired after 20 somewhat years-and I can assure EWR is the closest airport to Manhattan
Duuuude! You just came back from London on a plane. You can spring for a cab to take you home rather than schlep through midtown on trains and elevators with luggage...
Hi ActionKid. Thank you for your help to get from Newark Airport to Manhattan. But … that was too complicated for me. And the price is too high. If I take the train(s) with my wife, we have to buy $ 31,50. I can imagine, that the train from JFK-Airport costs the half. And the train is a direct-connection from JFK to Manhattan. Do you remember describing this route before? Or am I mistaken? I wish you many more trips through the World … and don‘t forget, to visit the nice Germany. Greetings from Germany.
Why nj transit?! Just take the PATH train for 2.95 . Runs 24/7 unlike nj transit! Also you have a choice of going to midtown or downtown. Little bit slower, but more flexible.
Watched your vid doing same thing into London first, and crazy how different it is. Never realized how much of a dump our airports are, and the trains getting into the city look like you have gone back in time 50 years compared to the trains in London. That is to say nothing of the stupid air train thing before you get to the actual train you need to use. I was thinking how expensive the trains were in London watching your video but I forgot how expensive it was to do the same type of trip in nyc until I watched this. How is it that London is much older but doesn’t look so run down as nyc, and comparing the subway to the underground- man, that is depressing. On the flip side, I like all the skyscrapers in New York, coffee always beats tea, and I doubt they have decent bagels or pizza
Haven't been in an airport in years. But that Global Entry thing sounds like regular travelers should do it in selfish interest but to shorten the lines for all the not-so-regular travelers. And wow, that aisle on your plane was narrow! I assume the space was taken by the little cubicles for the high priced fares. I wouldn't like that plane at all. Might convince me to choose an airline without that type of fare.
Which route did you think was better with someone with a carry-on? The Newark AirPort Express bus or the NJ train with the transfers? (If your finally destination was Manhattan) which was a “smoother ride“, in your opinion?
Sorry, AK, that was a great exhibition of why not to live in the country's largest city. Three airports are barely enough to handle the traffic. Only JFK is in proximity. Wherever I might choose to travel, it would be nonstop bypassing the who New York area. I did one trip with a stop in JFK. Next trip my wife took was nonstop to Amsterdam. No extended rail trips were involved.
One of your best videos. Growing up in Brooklyn I'm struck by the difficulty of getting things done. Why is there even a AirTrain? Why doesn't the Path train go to Newark Airport and the Subway go to LaGuardia and JFK. Especially LaGuardia. It's right across Flushing Bay from the 7 Flushing Line. THhe same with JFK. It's right next to the A train. The Port Authority to such a poorly run system. BTW, there is a tunnel from Penn Station to Herald Square. They closed it 30 years ago. It's still there but it's terrible the state of the infrastructure at Penn Station. The poor homeless people sleeping against the wall. The new Moynihan Hall is an improvement but only for the small percentage of passengers who ride Amtrak. For NJ Transit and LIRR passengers it's a horror show.
36:23 Computer Train Announcer (Dave - Text to Speech): Attention Newark Airport Passengers! Now arriving on Track A, is the New Jersey Transit 1:06 PM inbound train to Penn Station New York, making stops at Newark Penn, Secaucus, and New York. Please stand back from the yellow line and please watch the gap while boarding the train.
You can just tap your credit card on the turnstiles at the NJTransit side of things now too! Just like OMNY. No ticket needed for that AirTrain either.
Salaried workers taking paper tickets and opening doors in 2023. Amazingly inefficient. NJ Transit and MTA have huge labor costs it will have to reduce with automation. It takes money away from improving trains, tracks, and stations.
Why are you broadcasting these conductors' personal conversation? And keeping the camera on him and the woman sitting down? You should have stood up and shown the view out the windows instead of violating people's privacy like that!
I agree, he should've filmed through the window, then it would've been more interesting. However, during a conversation in a public setting, it can still be caught when you're trying to film so it wouldn't matter as again, you have no privacy in public. Basically, anyone on the train can literally hear the conductor's personal conversation which can be quite annoying@@stitcher4729
I've got to hand it to you. You are a seasoned traveler. The details you give is daunting.
Thanks for the trip to London, it was wonderful and no matter how far you roam there’s no place like home, you’re the best❤
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed the trip!

This was my main route from childhood until adulthood.
Awesome!

What a difference from New York. Even Newark was better and certainly quieter. Be safe.
Welcome back to the states, be safe and may God’s peace keep you👋
Much appreciated
Will be flying into Newark on my next visit to New York so this video was super helpful ⭐️ Thank you for doing this 🙏

Thank you very much! I know this video is going to be useful for many travelers to New York
Car service would probably be $150.00
NYC has a totally different vibe than London. I like it way better ❤
Thank you so much ActionKid for this awesome trip back to New York🇺🇸👍. Have a great Thanksgiving

I love getting home from a trip, but I always get a sad feeling when you get off at the last stop. A real emptiness.

I didn’t know about the Global Entry thing. Very interesting the last time I was at Newark was in 1991 and i last flew United was in 2001
that was an amazing walk👍Thank you❤
Thanks AK for the details of your arduous commute home.
Glad you made it safe & sound.👍🏽
Could try out some luggage straps and strap your second bag to your case Ken might make life easier lugging stuff around.
Thank you for sharing at London !
It good to learn a different port of the word.👍👍
You're welcome!
Nice vid Action Kid. I would always fly into Newark Airport too (much cheaper). Let me catch up on your London vids. Take Care!
Thanks! It was much cheaper to fly in and out of Newark Airport for my trip to London compared to LaGuardia or JFK Airports
Wow what a trip after you landed!
Yep, always a journey!

I was thinking the same
All that English food he has eaten.

Excellent!
0:39 Amazing Walk!
We used to ride this train going to football games in NJ.

Welcome back 🎉Actionkid 😊
Phew! What a journey. 😄
It's crazy the elevator you used to get to the subway for a bathroom, when there is a outside restroom across the street in that little park.
Thanks for the info, I have to travel from EWR to midtown early January
Hi friends! The Sesame Street float will perform at Macy's sometime between 11:00-11:15am on NBC. This will be Sesame Street's 47th year in the parade!! So thrilled to be a part of this annual tradition. See you Thursday!
Very informative. You did well to schlep all that way. Bet you were glad when you made it home
Newark Airport is the closest airport to Manhattan people think because it says New Jersey it's not close! I worked for United and retired after 20 somewhat years-and I can assure EWR is the closest airport to Manhattan
I have a trip to New York City coming up next month and flying into EWR.
Duuuude! You just came back from London on a plane. You can spring for a cab to take you home rather than schlep through midtown on trains and elevators with luggage...
Well done.
Thank you very much
nice video 🥰
Yea it might have taken 1 1/12 hrs by car too AK. You did well.
I probrably seen u on the train a few times and didn't recognize u lol
Take a folding baby stroller with you then you can put all your baggage and luggage on it. It will be a whole lot easier

Hey Kenneth hope you enjoyed Great Britain. Couldnt meet ya there😢....relax now a bit from the trip home ...love Phoenix_by_monika_huber 😊
Yes, I had a great time. Thanks so much for watching!
Maybe cheaper to take the bus to the Newark Path train, then to Manhattan.
Yes, it's much cheaper to take the public bus but it's crowded and they have limitations on how much luggage you can bring on board.
Thank you very much for the upload, and good luck with your TH-cam channel.
At 1:17:30, I'm heading back to London 😂
after the AirTrain, where were you that you caught a train to NY? never been to that station where you caught the train to NY
yellow bus - terminal B- to P A bus terminal or bryant park 20 $$
Why did you fly into Newark since you were going to Astoria? Would've been easier to fly into JFK?

Hola desde Costa Rica saludos
What they need to do is extend the Path all the way to Newark Airport!
At 1:22:30, no padding at all on the seats 😮. Plus, a very long walk to the train.
That was a hassle with all that going on you can hear it in your voice very frustration with luggage I watch the whole thing!
I got a feeling the woman on the train was recording you because you was recording her 😅
Ola fr Colorado AK
You can just tap your credit card on the turnstiles at the NJTransit side of things now too! Just like OMNY. No ticket needed for that AirTrain either.
Hello there ActionKid how it's going today?
I'm doing great!
You should like stairs you walk enough exercise your arms a bit more after all it's in the name😊

train not the N train

Doesn't look advanced or modern at all😮

There is no privacy in public. Welcome to the United States of America. Now salute your flag and Obey it!
You ever heard of the 1st amendment? Long Island Audit is an expert on that.
Something can be legal and still be the wrong thing to do. Plus it was boring. He should have shown the view out the windows.@@Alex-bf9ec
