- I arrive at Bangkok for the first time and make my way from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Downtown. Watch this video to see how I navigate from the airport to Downtown via public transportation. I also go through immigration, use an ATM, get a SIM card, customs, claim my luggage, and experience a long train & metro ride to Downtown.

Thanks!
No problem!
The transit systems in the Asian countries you have highlighted all seem so efficient, clean and safe.
Yes, they seem to be quite efficient!
wow! this is what you call a complete trip from suvarnabhumi airport to the city. love this!
Thanks for showing us the most daunting part of traveling - getting from point A to B, even during off hours.
You're welcome, I hope you found it useful!
For foreign exchange you get a better rate outside the terminal in the basement level heading towards the rail link.
Airport Rail Link (so-called ERA1 train; the new operator) has no more express line. The express line has seized the service since some point before COVID-19 but the Airport authority won't remove the signs around the airport. There is only a City Line left in service.
Fascinating how Action Kid can find the way to get where he gotta get to Thanks for the show it was a lot of fun to watch. From New York
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!
กรุงเทพ/ประเทศไทยยินดีต้อนรับครับ😊Welcome to Bangkok/Thailand...Your video is very good details. Thank u for sharing🎉
Another great transportation/Airport video 😎That airport looks huge and quite confusing partly 🤔Train ride was quite smooth looking and nice way to see the Bangkok views at night😎Thank you for sharing this informative, enjoyable and relaxing transportation video A K🙂👍!!!
You're welcome, glad you found it informative!
I like these videos from airports. I learn so much.
Thank you so much for the support!
All ATMs in Thailand will charge the 220 baht flat rate fee which is why it makes sense to withdraw the maximum amount possible.
You’ll also get better deals on SIM cards and at the currency exchange booths if you go downstairs at the airport and use the kiosks there, rather than use the ones on the floor where you arrive.
Compared to what the airport was like when I was in Bangkok in 1971, it has become huge!!! I'm happy that in 1971 the only way to get into the city from the airport was by taxi - no changes and direct to the hotel. Prices were much lower back then and the baht was worth more - the trip was 40 baht - about $2 US. Thanks again for another great video!
In 1971, it was another airport, Don Muang, in the north of Bangkok. It's still operating, though not the main airport anymore. The new main airport, Suvarnabhumi, is in the east of Bangkok, and it's really huge.
👋🏻👴🏼
Thanks for the information! After 53 years I couldn't remember the name of the airport until you mentioned it in your reply.@@OpaSpielt
Wow, that was a really great price for a taxi! Thank you so much for watching!
I’m so excited I feel almost on that trip! Thk u this is great!
ยินดีต้อนรับ สู่ไทยแลนด์ค่ะ 😘
Indonesian here. We Asians don't really care which type of English we use here, so you'll find plenty of mix and match. If the Bangkok's Airport Rail Link is comfortable enough for you, you should try Malaysia's KLIA Ekspres or Indonesia's Jakarta Airport Train.
According to OAG survey in 2023, the busiest airport in Southeast Asia is the Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, while Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport is the 8th.
Enjoy your holiday in Bangkok, my favorite city in Southeast Asia.
.Bangkok has two airports, so it is not surprising that Suvarnabhumi Airport has fewer passengers than Jakarta Airport.🙄🙄🙄🙄😴😴😴😴Both international airports There are more than 90 million passengers in total.
( you should try Malaysia's KLIA Ekspres or Indonesia's Jakarta Airport Train.)
***From the airport to the city center The distance is only 25 km, so the passenger seats are like a metro train.
It's not a long distance train like in Malaysia.
Hi from bangkok. 🙋 Welcome to Thailand. Hope you have a good experience and stay hydrated.
Thanks for the fully immersive first time experience and instructions on how to travel to Bangkok in Thailand! It's very modern there but has its own issues like anywhere. Epic and amazing video 💯
Welcome to Thailand! Get ready for an amazing time exploring the city!
Much appreciated, thanks for watching!

Brought back a lot of fond memories. Thanks.
Much appreciated, glad it brought back memories for you

Thank you, quite an exhausting trip for you. Rest up.
The ActionKid loves the thrill of the 🚇 ! It is an essential aspect of any metropolis he visits ! The 🚆. His standards are high as he wants a clean , informative & efficient journey. 🐼
I rented an apartment in sunset park because I watched ur video now u r going to my home country.
Nice. Well done.
Thailand has approximately 5 million foreign workers, is famous and has many tourists, and is often plagued by criminals and pickpocket gangs from neighboring countries. and from tourists as well
Welcome to Thailand bro.
I hope you enjoy your trip❤
Fun fact about this train
-this train use UK Class 360/2, but slightly modded to use on the line.
-This train can go 160km/h (99mph) which is the fastest train in thailand
And that a Express train No.03
It was quite a journey getting from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Downtown! 😲 I'm surprised there's no credit card payment options to purchase a train fare and SIM card at the airport, and your coin pouch from Taiwan came in handy. The MRT ride was efficient though. 👍 I really appreciate you going through all the trouble to create this dedicated and informative video. Glad you made it safely to Bangkok, and thank you so much for sharing this video, AK! 🤗
Yes, it was quite the journey! I'm glad I made a video of my entire experience!
Credit card is not really a thing here for public infrastructure and small shops. Either you pay with cash, transportation card, or QR code. But it's widely available in bigger stores, restaurants, hotels, and more.
@@TeguhNugroho90 This is good to know, and thank you for the info! 😃
the express reminds me of the class 360 in uk
that train is a british train class 360, but painted differently (the first train)
well done
I just remembered all those memories ❤❤❤❤❤❤😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Welcome!
Welcome to Thailand❤❤
🦜 careful out there. Blessings.
Wow you was at the airport for so long.
What a hassle just to get from point A to point B. Have a great time in Thailand @AK.
Not a hassle for Actionkid.
You are doing great at this.
Actually, the locals and Singaporeans have their own automatic immigration lanes which are super fast. I guess the locals you have met in the same line just didn't realize there is.
Which asian ariline do you prefer to travel?
1:16:37 xiaxia is a bad word in Thai, you know? 😂
you need a good ti massage that was epic thank you
I hate when the Express Line got canceled.
I think I remember hearing that iPhones 14 and above don’t have SIM cards anymore. Is that true, Ken? The last time I traveled internationally was in 2015 and it was to the UK. I had a BlackBerry then and all I had to do was to arrange for a UK carrier (I used Vodaphone) before I left the US and I was good to go in the UK when I got there. I’m always so impressed with your adaptability in new places, Ken. I did a fair amount of traveling in Europe on my own back in the day but I never ventured to Asia. You must have been SO glad to get to your hotel, have a bite to eat, and get some rest!!
Thank you for recording this video highly difficult and tiring ! I think travelling only for young people ✨Xie xie ( from Taiwan ) !
🙏🙏🇹🇭
This was an amazing video ! You navigated the complexity of that airport in a most impressive fashion ! I learned a lot . Thanks A.K. !
I know u did this for us, but there's a lot to be said for a taxi. its just too stressful after a long flight, immigration etc
If you can use an Esim and if you got a load of luggage for 1000 baht use airport limousine service don't start your trip being a cheap Charlie.
Airport Link AC
It too hot not work
Just what the Dr. Ordered a friendly wecoming!! 😊.
No Durian allowed wow it must really stink. Great to be in Bangkok :)
Someone brought a Durian to my uncle's house and he went to the alclove where all the shoes were stored and checked all the bottom of the shoes to see if there was dog pooh on the bottom of the shoes! LOL.
This will be worth a $20 PayPal transfer.
Thank you so much
Fact: This train is made in England
Yes it is.

4:02 come on don’t be negative with the water in Thailand I wanna ask you which country you from? I think the water in every big city in the world are the same quality
Please stop thinking Thailand is the third world country
So much women compare to UK. Wow, I generally feel safer when there’s more women then men
You make so many mistakes and complain alot.
DO NOT brush your teeth or shave with tap water. Take care to avoid splashing water in your eyes when showering.
WOW, Well done Ken, and thanks😊
You're welcome, thank you!
