She used to tease the concept of this very show, so it's just sad from my perspective. She has talent, she just needs to chill and be genuine again, instead of virtue signaling. The same messages get across so much better if you contextualize them right.

In the series Velma only wants those partners who have no interest in her. Velma doesn't want Norville until she tells to go to hell. Velma want's Fred, until Fred says he loves her. Velma pursues Daphne, until they are kissing. Then she says Norville's name. It is interesting that they make Daphne Asian, but keep her a red head. They explain her red hair as her mother drinking coffee while pregnant. So in this show, being a red hair is a form of Fetal caffination syndrome.

I hope it's gonna lead to the final decision where they decide that Season 2 is deconfirmed/cancelled cause Season 2 is just gonna make things worst and hateble that i don't even want to imagine how Hex Girls would look by both appearence wise and personality wise. Plus i still can't believe that this is the first ever show in many years that stupidly confirms Season 2 after 2 first episodes while the producers only confirm a new season after the final episode.
It's gonna be a real rage fuel if they start a Season 2 and already confirms a Season 3 after 2 first episodes again, Cause at what point is this series gonna bring for a bunch of idiotic disfunctional characters?

And here's a funfact that makes them liars and incompetent. In a interview, Mindy and Charlie said that they wanted to make a Velma show by avoiding making references from the Scooby-Doo series.
Which could've work if this kind of project was handled to a more competent writter who would know how to stay faithful to the characters and just make Velma her own self character with different characters without Fred, Daphne and Shaggy as they serve as minor characters you don't see often until later on.
But no...They literally referenced everything that was in the Scooby-Doo franchise with such bad mockeries.

Hilarious show, especially if you like dark, edgy humor. I personally think its the best show on cable television, by a mile. The first season starts kind of slow, but season 2 really picks it up when they recruited Danny Devito to play Frank. It's also hilarious seeing the characters get more and more despicable as the show progresses, especially Dennis. Highly, highly recommended.

God they even make already existing tropes way more problematic! For eg, the whole 'let's break them up' trope tends to be because that person has feelings for someone in the relationship. It's tied to complex feelings of love, jealousy, missed chances and all that. Despite it being a red flag, you can still understand and empathise with the character. Why am I not surprised that with Velma being the character involved, any trope is made 1000 times worse.
