Back in the day my mom rented this from the movie store thinking it was the other Jack Frost movie. One of the funniest things I ever saw was her reaction when she put it in the vcr for our movie night lmao I loved it.
If you noticed the position of the carrot when it floated up in the bathtub and its location in proximity to a certain area and the fact that nose was missing when Jack was "slamming her head against the wall" where did the carrot go and why was Jack "thrusting" her into the wall the way he was, context clues 🤔
Even better those "context clues" were unintended, he was just supposed to be slamming her head against the wall, but while editing the film they pointed out what it looked like and the director ran with it. mostly to not have to reshoot the scene.
Like stating that dude from dream catcher that the alien inhabits is mentally retarded. And then going, "you know that special dude, hint hint he rides the short bus." Like yea we all figured it out awhile ago.
As a kid, I was deathly terrified of the dvd cover of this on the blockbuster shelves. Eventually after years of being terrified of the cover, when I was 8, my dad rented it and my dad, my friend and I all sat down to watch it and for whatever reason I thought the sequel in particular was the scariest film ever. My friend had to let me know when the snowman was off the screen as I hid under a cover. This movie will always be memorable to me for this reason.

For anyone wondering the reason jack died to a banana is because when he and sheriff were rolling around in the antifreeze, the sheriff had open wounds and some of his blood mixed with the antifreeze, and jack inherited the sheriff's banana allergy.

Because Michael Keaton played a version of batman that gleefully murdered criminals (love it) . Thus since he played a kind snowman, it's inevitable his true sadistic glee made tangible manifest this jack frost.
the voice over jokes in jack frost get me, like when the teenager is decapitated and the parents fight, the cop dad says "your son is 2 feet taller than mine" and in be background all you hear quietly is "not anymore" and i just crack up

Some shows have kids using another kid's surname if they aren't friends or a romantic interest. Best example I can give is the prequel episode for code lyoko. Until the group discovered the super computer. They only called each other by last name until they realize the threat Xana poses. That's at least one I know of.
Apparently there were some people who would rent both movies and then switch the DVDs when giving them back, just for the reaction families would have when they got them later.

When I worked at Blockbuster as a teenager I swapped the tape of Jack Frost the horror movie with the box for Jack Frost the Michael Keaton family film.
Jack Frost's origin story, pseudo scientific explanations and powers feels like a comic book supervillain from the 50s. It would be an interesting idea for a reimagining where it's a supervillain horror comedy that's a parody of comic books from the golden and silver ages.
I don't think you understand what happened in the bathtub scene of the first movie. The carrot emerged from the water, signifying its presence, but throughout the whole scene, it's not on his face
when i was a kid i was always fascinated with the cover art of these movies, i love the juxtaposition from jolly merry Christmas into evil murder snowman. i just remember being like 12 years old and seeing this movie at blockbuster and hollywood video constantly and always so interested in it. makes sense that im a massive B-rated horror film fan and i love to draw monsters and shit now as a grown man 🤣

Hahaha snowballs! I remember watching these after I found them through a TH-cam video. Then I found the second one. I like the first one more. It depends really. Some shows have kids using another kid's surname if they aren't friends or a romantic interest. Best example I can give is the prequel episode for code lyoko. Until the group discovered the super computer. They only called each other by last name until they realize the threat Xana poses. That's at least one I know of.

When I worked at Blockbuster as a teenager I swapped the tape of Jack Frost the horror movie with the box for Jack Frost the Michael Keaton family film.
Jack Frost's origin story, pseudo scientific explanations and powers feels like a comic book supervillain from the 50s. It would be an interesting idea for a reimagining where it's a supervillain horror comedy that's a parody of comic books from the golden and silver ages.

when i was a kid i was always fascinated with the cover art of these movies, i love the juxtaposition from jolly merry Christmas into evil murder snowman.
i just remember being like 12 years old and seeing this movie at blockbuster and hollywood video constantly and always so interested in it.
