  • A drum cover of Lakai from an FM Studio live of Casiopea featuring Japanese saxophonist Sadao Watanabe in 1982.
In my opinion, I think this is one of if not the best version of this song that I have discovered, for its solos, different sections and ending. The sax adds a really nice touch to this song too.
Use headphones or good speakers for the best sound experience.
    BAND:
    Gtr. Issei Noro
    Bass. Tetsuo Sakurai
    Keys. Minoru Mukaiya
    Dr. Akira Jimbo
    Sax. Sadao Watanabe (guest musician)
    DISCLAIMER:
I do not own any rights or parts of this song. All credit goes to the amazing muscians who played this song live and to Harvey Mason and Bob James who composed it (they partnered with Casiopea on the album Eyes Of The Mind, where the song was originally released).

Carrying the Casiopea drum covers on TH-cam 💪
I actually have never listened to Lakai nor seen it anywhere, but its pretty syncopated and sounds like a mixture of Magic Ray and Southern Breeze. I also can see you choose to play more of the slower, smoother song selection of Casiopea's song list. I'm also a Worship/Gospel Drummer as well as a Jazz-Fusion enthusiast, I just don't have a kit at home, so I practice at band after school and at Church too. Sweet cover tho, and tight as always!

Thank you so much, so good to hear from a fellow worship and j-fusion drummer. I do enjoy playing smooth songs, but will definitely be covering a lot more upbeat songs in the near future!! Also, come to think of it, Lakai does kinda sound like a mixture of Magic Ray and Southern Breeze :)
thanks for the continuous support though!
