I think she has been the best actress to perform this role. She wasn’t some lifeless character singing the notes. She made the scenes and words mean something, and made that emotion show. She was brilliant in this.
Gina was THE FIRST Christine to get me to break down sobbing on this song. Her voice, her emotion, it's powerful. There's one audio in particular of her with Scott Davies and I had to go sit down after. I'm a big dude, I own a doberman, tats and piercings; I am the guy suburban moms kinda gently scoot their kids away from while in the grocery store. When I point out that Gina Beck is the one voice that gets to me it always throws friends off. Like hell guys it throws me off too and I first heard her over 10 years ago. Gina deserves all the love for the power she brought to this role vocally, visually, all of it. Thank you for sharing this one! 💙

This is a musical and not an opera so while singing is important, emotions and acting are very important as well. Operatic singing is saved more for the character of Carlotta

She is great vocally but her acting, compared to some other Christine’s is what really sets her apart…her emotional portrayal is excellent.
