Saw Ms. Vroman in POTO at the Curran Theater over 20 times. Each performance was astounding! I would love to have it on film so I can relive it! For me, she IS Christine Daae.
My favourite Christine... well up there with Clare Moore. I just found out Lisa is going to be the soloist for my local Philharmonic's Holiday Pops concerts. I am SO excited by that.
Am I weeping? Yes I am!!!! Lisa has done it to me. Bawling from watching her perform this devastating song with such earnest. Her voice is no less then glorious. Will never be able to thank you enough my friend for this opportunity to watch her in action. To me she remains at the top. I appreciate all that you have supplied more then I can ever verbally describe. One thing I'm not speechless about saying. You are a doll!!!!!! :)
Weronika K If I could "borrow" her voice. I would do it instantly! LOL! Well she would be among my top ten. Are there any vocalists you would love to borrow their voices for a short time? :)
She's the best Christine vocally of them all. Many others fall flat. Too much mix voice, just something "off." Rebecca Luker was also excellent but there was a weirdness in the middle voice i didnt like in this role. It's very difficult because it's so low and yet also so high. Christine isn't as high as people think once u have the prerecorded C and E thrown in, the actual live section (rest of the score) is all middle voice and top of middle into head.
Saw the Curran Theater production in San Francisco back in the 1990s multiple times with Vroman and D'Ambrosio at the helm, and I also saw POTO in New York on Broadway around the same period. We, in all honesty, in San Francisco, had the better cast. Plus in the Curran there was a very intimate feeling (compared to the Majestic).

What an Amazing voice Lisa has.
I saw her play this role during her residency at the Curran! She has a powerful, beautiful voice!
Our own darling Lisa! Finding myself wanting to hear her again in “Mayo.”
Her voice is amazing

Me too. Claire and Lisa are my all time favourits.
Evan McInnes Both amazing Christines. My personal favorite is Rebecca Caine.
I love how it's almost as if she's yelling for God to help her at the end. Perfection.
