Hey mate, just a clarification, the A/C condenser is in front of the radiator, so radiator/engine temp does not affect the cooling ability and pressure in the A/C system. The reason it cuts out is due to the ecu having a pre set temperature threshold, once head temperature reaches that, it will cut the ac compressor to help engine cooling in the event of an overheat.
Also your video isnt complete, I'm assuming you start to warn against pressure testing the cooling system to find the leak as it could force coolant into the intake where it could hydraulic lock the engine and bend a rod?
Hi peter. My 1GD has been tuned and had the egr disabled. Can the egr water lines be bypassed to prevent coolant entering the motor in the event of an egr cooler fail
I think the video stopped early mate Also I’ve heard hilux temp gauges r shit. Stays right in the middle until it’s just about cooking then pegs at hot.

I've had mine deleted.. I have pwr intercooler..my water temp gauge seems to have very high readings but my gauge on dash normal

80,000 km this happened to my Hilux six week wait for replacement part
Peter, does this only happen on the 1GD, or does it happen on the 1kD as well?
Generally only the 1gd had issues with the egr cooler leaking
