- This was a crazy deep day from last year! Today is a good example of why you don't want a 146 as your primary sled.

Sorry about the audio issues guys! I dont know why the audio didnt adjust proper when I'm doing the voice overs
It’s okay just glad you posted 😊
man the vids are getting me pumped!!! what radio do you guys use while riding?
How much are you asking for that sled?
A 146 is a skill builder sled. You have to be right on money to ride. Its good to drop back to one to remember how good you have it on a 165
it really is though!
But easier to ride in spring when things are setup compared to a longer sled, also hop overs, re entry etc. Would be fun to have one for a couple days a year but can’t justify the purchase so I’ll stick with the 165 🤘🏾
Thats a beautiful brown bear you caught, nice job!
As someone who’s rode sleds since the 80’s, I find myself amazed by the capability of modern sleds. I realize that this video is intended to demonstrate that on deep days the 146, is not able to do the stuff the 165 boost is. But for perspective the terrain you got into with the 146 simply would be inaccessible in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I remember riding a 1997 xc 600 triple with and 1.5 inch track and thought,at the time, I could take it anywhere. Compare that to my 2023 Freeride 154 3”, and I laugh at the little hills I did. It’s all perspective! Love your vids, and anxiously await this years trip to Revy. One of these years you have to come to Alaska! When do you plan to head to Revelstoke this year?
it really is perspective. if everyone was on short tracks it would be no problem. you still have just as much fun battling to go somewhere. just at a different level. one thing I do like about riding a short track is you're usually riding much safer terrain when it comes to avy danger. you put yourself in a lot more dangerous situations when you ride a 165 turbo because you're just naturally riding steeper terrain.
also head out in like 20 days!!! hope to make Alaska some day
@@MuskokaFreerider that’s a great point!
Totally spot on about perspective. In the 90's as a teenager, I had just as much fun riding farm beaters from the 70's, when that's all anyone had. 77 Skidoo Olympic 340 FTW.
I learned how to ride on a old 88 phazer. It had a 116 inch track with I bet a half inch lug. 😂 being 11 or 12 it was bad ads! New sleds r nuts now!
Congrats on 100k Matt, well deserved. Keep up the great work 👍
incredible how talented you are to run a 146 in that type of snow and terrain! congrats on your 100k follower and thanks for all the good stuff you post😁
You worked your butt off to get that 100k play button!! Can’t wait for this seasons adventures and shenanigans! The video shots and story line always makes it feel like I’m right in the mix with your crew. You’ll be at 1 million subs before you know it!
Thanks man! Lot a hard work but a lot more fun!
Dope video can't wait for your sled videos this season 🤙
The struggle makes it fun to watch, I’m looking for lines to gain momentum
I have a hard time cutting a lot of footage because I think its entertaining watching me struggle to get around
Just in my garage getting my triples ready for the Saskatchewan fields waiting for snow...
Thanks for the itch scratching video
U are a straight up good rider to go where u did with the 146 vs the 165s that was a showcase of your skill level and u deserve the 100k subscribers your footage is epic I love that there is very little background music just the sled sounds and u explaining as u go.... keep em coming...
Absolute madness in that deep powder. I hope I get some of that this season. After 20 years in Texas I'm ready. Just picked up an RV yesterday and headed to my mom in Utah. My buddy has two sleds so it's a good chance it will happen this year. 👍🤠
Can’t wait for this season🤘🏼hoping to make a few trips to Revy
146 looks like such a fun sled. Light playful. That deep is rough on any na but 146 honestly if they went to a 146 3.25 boost would be a stupid fun sled. Honestly if I had the funds I’d buy this sled lol. Looks so fun. Just have to keep building my 01 rmk
Just an FYI for anyone wondering why shutting the sled off, pulling it a few times with throttle wide open worked. In the past, mostly on Arctic cats that I had. They can lose fuel pressure at the fuel rail, this buildings the pressure back up & gets fuel where it needs to go. Just my 2 cents, great video!
You got it
I have resisted till today to watch any video's!! Because im in Minnesota with zero snow. And the first video i watch is this!!
Your that man. Way to go on producing some great sledding videos. You sure can ride a sled. Congrats on earning 100,000 people subscribing to watch your videos. Consistency and quality is what i like about Freerider Films.
thanks! its been a fun ride!
I like when you show how you get your sled unstuck, hope you’d show it more often. Its nice to see how you get unstuck and gives me more option on how to get myself unstuck in certain situations
Well came back to finish the last season's edit and there's a new vid🤘 Guess I'll watch this first 😂 Matt your really getting us stoked 🤘
Super pumped for this seasons edits!! Will you be releasing more merch on your website, like that hat you have on? I’m just waiting to make a big order again😎
Stay tuned!
@@MuskokaFreerider sounds good man!
Awesome video Matt!!!
Reminds me back in the day, Early 90s, we were in Ishpeming MI and it snowed 30 inches overnight, on a 650 Polaris Trail Sled , Trail Everything, we all went out and if Anyone stopped IT WAS OVER, All that awesome snow and we couldn't do SHIT.
Once the group all got going again we just said SCREW THIS CRAP, and headed back to the Room , Worst Day Ever with all that good snow , but the Sleds just weren't built for it , Trail Lugs and all.
We would have been in Heaven if we had the Sled you are on here!
Awesome Vids, will be great to see this year's adventures!
Dude…love the videos!! You made that 46 shine, riding the piss out of it!! This video should be in an online brochure for the doo, just tapped out all day and all that happened was some burnt plastic!!
That 146 is pretty impressive to be hanging with a 165. Nice video and good riding
congratz on 100k homie! Sad to see you came too my old home town, after i've moved to BC. welp the season has offically started, tracks have been laid in smith bc.
I can’t wait for some snow!!!! After a many year hiatus from sledding due to illness, I went and bought me an 06 nytro for some fun before my days are up. I definitely won’t be riding in anything this deep because I’m scared outta my mind about getting this sled stuck because in my weakened state I can barely swing the arse end around, lol. It’s as heavy as a tank!!! I think way up north they’ve got snow falling, but here in the Niagara region nothing yet!!! Come on snow!!!!
3” of snow on the ground for the last 4 days here in North Bay, ON, but warm temps are coming this week so it’ll be gone again. Likely a solid month before I can even ride the logging roads here.
Worst day of sledding is way better than the best day of work...lol...
That was impressive on a 146...you make it look easy even though we all know how much work it is to ride the deep stuff.
Thanks for the fix freerider...
From my growing igloo on the mountain in grande cache alberta D.
P.S...SNOW STARTING TO GET DEEP ON THE MOUNTAIN TOPS HERE IN WESTERN ROCKIES...
New sleds come in yet? Make sure you do a build video. Always love seeing those!
Congrats on 100k man I would totally buy the 146 off you it would have a relaxing rest of its life I mostly just trail ride in northern Maine. Not sure of how far of a haul that would be lol
That’s why you go so good lol! I’m 215 without any gear. Time to lose some weight… I think you did much better on that 146 than 99% of people would have.
That’s all I heard with me sitting at 220 in my birthday suit! Lol at first I was like, wait is that some sort of metric measurement. But nothing converted over in a way that made sense. I thought he was more stocky. 😂
@@teachdougie8139 😂😂😂 some of us were just built for power not speed.. but seriously I couldn’t imagine the places I’d go at 40 pounds lighter..
My 2012 Pro RMK had the side panel foam catch on fire, got lucky and put it out with snow. At least you didn't catch on fire, just a little singed plastic.
Man to see a 146 struggle. I started in 96 ridding. We had the 670 136, that's now a trial sled. I would luv to ride a new mountain sled.
Sunday 'Skoka better than football
congrats! on 100 000 suscribers! you deserves it
W into bro need more intros like this one
So pumped for your riding season to start. Living the dream through you my man..... o/
You did an amazing job Matt! Don’t sell yourself short buddy. Your a great rider.
Awesome congratulations on 100k ill keep spreading the word get you to 1m
wow, great video Matt and the Crew, you had a tough day. awesome riding
i ride 146 in sweden and the 3 days of the season that it dumps a lot i really have a hard time hha, but the rest it works perfect
I am pretty sure belts have a place in belt hell reserved just for Matt.
Congrats on the 100,000!! Hello from Shishmaref, Ak
36:20 for some reason the kill switch on the Polaris 850s is picky. I sometimes have the same issue and unplugging and clearing off the kill switch fixes it.
Dude the intro was so good🤣🤬
Muskoka's 146" for sale:
50,000km on the odometer but only 100 hours on the clock!
Awesome day getting 100k bro. In CO hoping i got entered as i do not have instagram(im old) lol. Be blessed and keep the vids comin!
Congrats on the 100k award Matt! You deserve it! I love watching all of your vids. Don't think you've put one out that i didn't watch in full and enjoy the whole time! Keep it up brother!
Thank man love to hear it
the tracks are only getting smaller and the engines bigger but it isnt always better
Congrats the 100k subs bud!
Sick video, hate getting stuck but good to see it happens to everyone and not just me.... Have you picked up new sled(s) yet?
my dad always told me that its the driver not the sled and this video proves my dad wrong
congrats on the 100k subscribers
Congrats man awesome channel
Congrats on 100k !!!!
The middle finger came 17:56 came back on you 😂
Hahah all in good fun!
dude u must be in crazy shape, im tried just watching
Yo Matt!!!!
Yeaahhh buddy that 100K plaque!!!!!
Congratulations on 100K!
thanks greg!
We all have days like this, whether it's not enough snow or too much snow, we ALL have these days.
I been wanting to try a 146 would make a guy learn how to ride lol I have a 22 khaos155 I got last year n Im liking it .
Can’t believe you only have 100k when I first watched you I thought you had like a million or something
Sooooo deep! Awesome!
Idk what side paddle track is on that 146 but I feel like if it had a 3 inch paddle with the high track speed it would do great. Just a thought
Good to see that it's not only me thats struggels ang gets stuck
Awesome, always sick videos
Wish I could do that with my sled but it's too heavy for me but all the power you could ask for
Congratulations on 100k
I have yet to get my first sled & I know nothing, so the longer the track the deeper the snow you can ride?
Also how do you think a 174 3" na would fair out in the deep stuff like your in? I'm just getting into mountain riding ☺️
season is almost upon us!
be riding in no time!
Hey Muskoka what’s ur opinion on the hardcore alpha cats, don’t see many much of them on the mountains.
Now you know how it feels every day for us guys on N/A when we ride with people like you, landon and Dathan on turbos lol.
Man it’s pretty lame honestly. I like to be ripping with the boys breaking trail. Not lagging behind
@@MuskokaFreerider following trenches isn’t very fun, but sometimes it’s the only way to get around. At least you don’t have an alpha rail to wash out on all them. If anyone watching has a 153” Arctic cat skid from a 2019 twin rail, and the 3” powerclaw track I’ll buy it. Lol
That's insanely deep! That poor 146 lol
It’s had a rough life lol
What radios do you guys use?
id be happy with that sled im tryna find a good rmk 800 but cant find the money because im 16.
Matt i didn't see any videos on your sleds this yr, maybe I missed them, what are you riding this yr ?
Woo hoo 🥳🥳 Congrats on the 100k plaque 👏🏻👏🏻
Great job on the 100K subscribers! whatever made you think the 146 was the sled to take?
Everything else was broken
Watch the video and he tells you....
14:12
My Yamaha Phazer from 1989 would climb that like it was nothing.
I bet
I'm looking forward to this winter and your upcoming videos ;)@@MuskokaFreerider
that is a crazy deep day lol
this winter you need to sleep more in the wood
🏆🏆🏆 Congratulations
Thank you for sharing
🏆💪🤗😎🇺🇲
Hey Muskoka. I have been a folower for 3-4years and never heard a
good woord about Arctic cat. Why is that?
Would be nice to see how pro rider manages on 600 146 or something like that.
This video gave me so much anxiety it's insane
Matt: Does the purchase of one of your sleds come with a room at your Revelstoke mtn house this winter season????
Haha I wish a sled purchase came with a room
Looking forward to this season! Hard to hear your voiceover in this video with full volume on the main videotrack..
Weird I watched it back multiple times and thought it was good. Sled volume turns way down then I talk
@@MuskokaFreerider Thats weird, on my end the main track stays full volume. Anyways, cool video, fun to watch a struggle 😅👍
Same here
you guys are talking about the mic in my helmet then. I thought you meant the voiceover after when I come on Screen. Sometimes the mic in my helmet has issues and does work well. In the start of the video you're right, it wasn't working great@@stian9081
@@MuskokaFreerider I mean the voiceover when you appear bottom right.. only the last voiceover at the end was ok to hear..
Good video stock clutching in the 146? Did you have to adjust the clickers throughout the day with having it wide open the whole time?😂
stock. haha no never touched it
Sled season is in 🎉and how much for the sled ?
What's your guys Opinion on a 154 800 what should I get next I'm 5.6 and 135 lbs with gear on
how in the hell you'r belt survived😵💫
Oh ya baby ❤
Matt…did you shorten your limiter strap??? 😅
When will get your new skidoo?
When did you start riding
Is this right now or last winter
Full tank half day kind of day lol
What’s it take to come ride with you guys??
To bad the 146 is for sale now I loved that sled
Hey Mat! I am very curious of a 174" would do in these conditions. Have you seen one?
I can speak from experience that it would be a lot easier. Gen 5 turbo 175" would eat that terrain up, even on this deep of a day.
oh my, iam scarred. 146 wow
