Song arranged and produced by Azam Ali and Loga RaminTorkian
    Video Directed by Azam Ali
BARAYE was originally written by young Iranian singer/songwriter Shervin in the early days of the recent uprising in which he brilliantly strung together tweets from demonstrators to form the poignant lyrics of what has gone on to become an anthem of the Iranian people in this movement towards freedom.
    Translation:
For dancing freely in the streets
    For fear when kissing
For my sister, your sister, our sisters
    For transforming decayed minds
    For the shame of poverty
For longing for a normal life
For the child who picks through garbage and his dreams
    For this dictated economy
    For this polluted air
For Vali Asr Avenue and it’s dying trees
For the Piruz cheetah and his likely extinction
For the innocent dogs that are banned
    For unrelenting tears
For the image of this moment that keeps repeating
    For faces full of smiles
    For students and their future
    For this compulsory heaven
    For the brilliant minds imprisoned
    For the Afghan children
    For these unending “fors”
    For all these empty slogans
For the rubble of collapsed houses
    For the feeling of tranquility
For the rising sun after long nights
    For anxiety pills and sleeplessness
    For man, homeland and prosperity
For the girl who wished she were a boy
    For woman, life, freedom
    For freedom….

Life and Victory for all the freedom loving people of beautiful Iran, whose hopes, sorrows and pains are so greatly conveyed through Shervin's words. Thank you all for singing to the world this breath-taking interpretation of one of the most humanist and inspiring poetry I've ever heard. Iran will thrive thanks to you beautiful folks. May the world sing Woman, Life, Liberty - this is the moto of our humanity. Dearly,

in order to stop air pollution (due to lack of natural gas the government is burning waste oil to generate electricity which cause so much pollution)
for the sake of haggard trees that are on the side walk of the valie-e-asr street ( due to recent sever drought many of old trees in capital city Tehran specially valie-e-asr street are dead or dying )
for the sake of pirooz and possibility of extinction of its species ( pirooz was an astatic cheetah cub given the name pirooz meaning victories in Persian because he was the only one in the litter that survived, it was the first time there was a successful birth in captivity. unfortunately pirooz passed away at 10 month old, there only 12 static cheetah alive in Iran. side note: when I was translating this part I break down in tears because at the time of recording the music pirooz was still alive )😢😢😢😢

for the sake of the smiling face ( refers to Iranian girls hides their faces in social media due to speaking up against the government and fear of retaliation or hiding it in general due to sexist culture in Iran )
for the sake of student and their future ( at the time of writing Iranian government has poisoned many school girls at school by gas in retaliation because school girls were in forefront of demonstrations, Iranian government killed many school girls during demonstrations )
for the sake of this forced heaven ( referring to government using religion as a tool to control people in any way possible from freedom of speech all the way to the forced dress code on women in Iran )
for the sake of imprisoned geniuses ( refers to imprisonment of Iranian open minded intellectuals )
for the sake of Afghani children ( in Iran many children of Afghani heritage denied the very basic needs based on their ethnicity )
for the sake of all this and for the sake of non repeat able ( refers to tweets and hashtag of "for sake" slogan of movement which is tweeted and hash tagged over and over again but it is still refresh and new )
for the sake of all this empty slogans ( referring o school kids being forced to protest on the streets with slogans of death to America and Israel which they don't believe in it )

There is beauty beyond words here. And it is in the spiritual awakening of that beauty that a people will arise from their ashes of suppression and indignity. The traditions of a culture can truly only be determined from within its beating heart, and it is in that strength and courage that the pride of a united civilization will overcome and persevere. May the winds of change carry this song to help overcome barriers and invigorate the heart of truth..... ♀️🌳⚖️♥️

Magnifique !
