The platforms at the first two stations are ridiculously small. I wonder if anyone feels safe waiting for a train there. I'd definitely wait at the stairs and come down only when the train approaches.

hey! i go to london to visit my family every few years and this is the station we usually get on at- my mum always says to sit down on one of the benches so we wouldn’t get pushed. it can be quite freaky

The NYC subway (which is an embarrassment compared to the Tube) has many center platforms between 2 tracks, but are quite wide and safe. In NYC it’s the 1-sided platforms that can be narrow and life-threatening when jam packed at rush hour.
But this narrow Clapham Common (?) platform is truly insane - what if someone innocently trips and knocks you 3 ft either way into an oncoming train ?
I’ve heard they’re going fix this (?), and it can’t come too soon. Otherwise, all the new stations and lines look amazing-Londoners should be proud to have the best subway on Earth !

Its called a, "Island-Platform," there is only 2 on the underground and around 11 at ground level

but you can’t link the bakerloo line in 3 stations, you need to link the district line for Embankment, South Kensington,Sloane Square and Victoria
