Thé big issue for me to explain this to my U9 team so they can apply it in the league competition, I did that all this summer but still they are not able to apply it ,
i don't understand why tacticians suggest making the pitch 'as big as possible' in 7s... that makes it harder to keep possession surely, because you're far apart?
Because it’s harder to defend a bigger field. It’s a defender’s dream to have the offense keep the ball in a small area. In general, offense you want speed, and a bigger area to create lanes and openings. Defense you want the game slowed down, and a small area to defend.
