@@ahanadiri5330 given the jizya doesn’t have a set number on it, I don’t think we can really assert that through all Islamic empires, the jizya was less than 2.5% of excess wealth. But it would be nuts if it ever hit 20% lol
@@Summer-cu7do key in mind that Jizya is refunded if the state can’t provide protection during an invasion while zakat is not refunded. Jizya has never been greater than zakat amounts as far as I know

Muslim pay Zakat and non Muslims pay Jiziya. Which country in the world right now who Doesn't impose tax on his citizens? Well except Saudi Arabia, Qatar, qwait, Emirates those Muslim countries Don't impose tax on Muslim or non Muslims fact.

I was responding to a individual who asked a rhetorical question as to why people have problem with the tax.
You can't compare it to western impose tax because western tax is across the board.. It is based on what you earn not on any religious affiliation.

We live in the west and we pay the jiziah thirty folds over. I don’t know what they’re complaining about. We are literally being robbed blind here because of the high taxes. I just filed my tax last week. They took nearly half of my salary as if we’re nearly equal partners.
