THAT THROWBACK INTRO HOLY COW. Thank you for that man
🤘🏼
*OMG YES* ❤️ 😲
I haven’t even seen the rest of the vid yet, and had to comment. All the feels!
@@BlockheadMoto gotta do the original intro with the FU sportster for us
Oooo yes the OG Sportster, I remember back when Blockhead was teaching us how to use the clutch and shift in the Family Fun Spot parking lot and then there was the LED turn signal upgrade. Now the OG Sporty is really maturing into a beast. Good work Blockhead, been watching the channel for a while now.
Lol, I remember making that turn signal install video in a parking garage bc I didn’t have a garage. Damn, throwback for sure, crazy to think of those times!
Yeah man, I member that shit. Really good, thorough tutorial.
Love the OG opening being used. Nice throwback. Made me remember your old videos
👊🏼
Loveeee the OG intro. Really takes me back to the beginning when I started researching getting into motorcycles and spent a solid chunk of my life watching your videos 😆
The OG Intro definitely put a smile on my face! Been rocking with you for a long time!
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
I just bought an 883 with the 1275 hammer performance kit on it. Idiot who owned it before me decided to take the tuner off and the air intake before trading it in. So it's basically running castrated right now. Got an arlen ness intake coming and a dynojet tuner. Until they get here, I'm living vicariously through you. Ride safe bro!
**old intro**
me: I was there, 3000 years ago
😆 Crazy to think, officially 5 yrs ago!
@@BlockheadMoto I know right! I had another name back then. Waiting for stickers if that narrows it down ;) Loved the content then, love the content now.
Sounds great and that paint job - crispy!
My first Harley was a 73' Iron Head Sportster 1000cc, kick start only, back in the mid 90's. The power to weight ratio was mega fun. Would surprise stock big twins off the line.
Your Sportster would look awesome with some Z bars.
Don’t get me wrong I like the blockhead crew, but the OG intro brought back the reason I started watching the channel and that’s you, your bikes, and your personality.(the Miss Blockhead dynamic was a great bonus into motorcycle couples as well, hoped y’all would work it out but wish her well) All things progress but remember where you came from and what got you where you are.
Appreciate the kind words and long time support man! 👊🏼
I learned to ride on your OG Iron videos before I took my road test, so appreciated that opening! I feel the same way about my Iron, I can't give it up even though I ride my Ultra Lim 2-Up 99% of the time. One day when I can't ride anymore my OG Iron will probably end up as a centerpiece in my living room or I might be one of the crazies riding an OG Iron trike (hopefully 120 HP+)
With the old throwback intro I almost expected the old outro by the highway! Loved the video Block!
Love that park. We visit all the same spots, yet we've never crossed paths in all these years. Maybe some day. 😉🤘🏼
Love the OG Sportster! Also liked the throw back opener!
Really nice to see the old intro. Man, your approach was great, specially the microwave readiness sound hahaha
Lol thanks man 😁
Wow I've been out of the loop for a while I remember you selling the OG Sportster then getting her back with Z Bars. Now she looks fucking beautiful. Nice to see her done up as a throwback to her roots. You showing everyone how to ride on this bike at that parking lot was how I learned to ride!
What a great looking and fun sporty. An upside down front fork. Dual brembos. And some rear suspension would go a long way towards ride quality. And usable performance.
Throwback to the original intro. NICE!!!
TUFF
Keepin it weird🤘
Haha, YES!! Love the OG intro so much!!
That bike just screams badass. Did a excellent job on it and I bet it rips.
man tbh i wish i can afford Harley, you’re the best man🙌🏼👏
Love the OG intro!!
Darkhorse is just down the road from me. Quality stuff over there
Great content and looking forward to the future of this channel.
I would advise to check the pushrod length and lifter preload just to see if they are within spec and could squeeze a few ponies if they needs correction.
I cannot wait to have my kit done. I have the 1275. Got SE 1200 CNC Pro ported race heads going on it. Cams as well. Will have the manifold ported unless you recommend something other then having it ported.
Looks great 👌🏻 love the O.G intro.
Love everything about that bike except the low bars. I'm a high-bar kind of guy.
It's amazing that I'm watching this video right after watching Shadetree who just bought a new (to him) bike for a lot less than any one of the upgrades you've put on this bike.
What a contrast.
And from looking at it, you are about one sneeze away from 400,000 subscribers brother.
I'm seeing at least 1/2 a million subscribers before Christmas time.
I love both channels. Keep safe & keep a vigilant man.
peace
I love the paint job and the bike looks awesome
I didn’t get radical but I did Fox 13 inch rear shocks and Progressive cartridge kit front suspension as well a Arlen Ness larger front brake rotor. Better brakes and suspension made a big difference. Keeps the sleeper look.
Awesome video as always! Love that iron so much!
Thanks Tyrus!
Ayee that OG intro though 🔥
I did the hammer 120 kit on my sporty and got 119 hp on the Dyno. I also changed out my flywheel to a buell and 38t sprocket
Throwback intro, great bike, cool paint job, awesome video carnal.
You definitely have the best taste when it comes to customizing motorcycles!...awesome job’
Hell yeah brother! Do it for Dale!
I worked for moonshine Harley Davidson in TN. We put darkhorse in a lot of builds. A quote from a master tech on the motorbuild team; “DarHorse is great but an object in motion, stays in motion. When you have a light crank. The motor works faster, getting more power but over a long period of time, it breaks down in a quarter of the time compared to stock parts.
You can make harleys fast but if you push them to the limits in the sense of aftermarket parts, they break down. Building a full custom motor, trying to get the most HP and TQ is only good for drag races. It will not last 10,000miles for regular street use/riding.
Not to mention the heat generated from hotrodding it this much mean 1) it aint fun to sit on long periods (probably not an issue as this isnt a comfort touring bike) and 2) weather can shorten your day if you can't keep it cool enough or you hit real life traffic in a non-lane splitting state. I guess this is more of a dyno queen build but maybe it will stay cool enough with the right air/fuel or maybe add an oil cooler.
Guess we’ll see 😉 And none of my builds are made to be garage / Dyno queens. They’re all dailys
@@BlockheadMoto Im guessing with modern EFI it can just scale back the power if need be to accommodate for hot weather or traffic.
Stock or aftermarket on anything will breakdown quicker if you beat on it all the time. The right aftermarket parts will actually last longer than a lot of factory parts if ridden normal
OG intro too. Dope.
Hey there, BH. I recently got the 2-wheel itch again and came across your videos about the same time. Went back to the beginning of your channel and started binging. The 883 is my favorite bike, but I'm pretty sure 6'7 is too tall for one. Love the content then and now. Keep it up.
6’7 is definitely too tall for a Sporty, but checkout the Dyna or Softail line, should fit much better! Thanks for the comment and watching man, appreciate the support! 👊🏼
Good lord I love that bike! That is my all time favorite
I love the og she really is a thing of beauty. Thats why i watch this channel. I love all of your other bikes but for some reason the og has my heart..
Lol I love the thumbnail crossing out 120
sounds way good and doesn't sound so chattery like my '21 sportster
loving the red
@blockhead: I had to watch the intro twice, got nostalgic for a moment.
@everyone else: hit the like button if you also do the "ding" sound in your mind when the engine light cuts off 😂
Lol felt it was fitting to include, glad I remembered to use it 😄
Blockhead I want it. Red my favorite color. Badass dude! You come up with great ideas.
OG looks like it went to Hell and back 🤟
Awesome bike and thread. Many thanks for sharing.
I have heard tell/read, you should see about an extra 10% more ponies to the back wheel through a chain, over a belt.
Block that was the most crispy intro ive ever seen😍😍
I ended up buying the Iron 883 as my first bik last week. Well happy with it. So many amazing mods to do on it.
Man that paint, that gloss looks like you just threw water on it. Looking great
Bombshell did a great job! 🤘🏼
this bike comes across sounding way better than most harleys for me
old school intro love it
So what did hammer say about not getting 120hp?
Hi Blockhead, you're doing amazing job.
I really like that paint it pretty cool.
Hey BLOCKHEAD, great work on your bike man. Keep on keeping on bro!
The OG Iron has had the wildest glow up
Wait a sec that was the OG intro like that gave me throwback vibes 👌 keep up the content blockhead crew!
I just recently bought a 2017 iron with a s&s 482 cam, big bore 1250, and a arlen ness monster sucker
The stock belt is fine. Adjustment will be key. Over tighten it and it won't last.
Yes!!! The og iron with the og intro!!
*HELL YEAH OMG THE OLD INTRO* ❤️ 😲
I missed that longer into
awesome video !
and yes, it does sound like it is carb'd . lol with a very quick and punchy get up too. yes i saw that.
lol
Love the paint job
It’s an awesome looking bike and sounds incredible. How much would it cost for a set up like that? I’m thinking of getting an iron 883 but I do want to have better performance especially if I want to do highway driving.
Nice moves, nice park
Paint job looks awesome Block.....Buuuutttt.... What's up with the big Void under the front of the tank..... (Idea***!!) .. Put quick-release filler-panels there. Then if you need to work on that area of the bike or the heads..... You can just pop the two of them off and you're good to go. They would of course need to follow the patina colour scheme. Or if you are more adventurous,.... You can extend the tank volume into that area, and increase your range. Ciao.
Doesn’t that paint job add like 9 hrsprs? I think the bike is at 120 but the dyno doesn’t pick up paint hrsprs. Ask @SickWideGlide, he’s a 25 year experienced master tech, he’s also really cool. But he can tell you that the paint job does increase hours power.
You right! 😂
Now that I'm paying attention I believe that is a d&d Bobcat exhaust? That's what I'm running right now. It pops a bit on the d cell but it sure does snarl off throttle.
Motonosity needs to ride this bike!
Hey Block !
You should paint the headlight fairing !
Go all out my friend!
Miss that OG intro!!!
Block just a suggestion. Put a RSSV sticker on top of the headlight cowl just past the handlebar risers.
Hell yeah brother!
It's a bummer you didn't get the hp goal but I've enjoyed the build. OG Iron turned out awesome. Keep up the awesome content.
Whats the compression ratio? I guarantee you put another point in compression you will get the 120+ that your wanting. Real hp that you will feel.according to what the compression is rn you might need to run some race gas
Hell Yeah Brother!!
Any updates on OG/FU? I really enjoyed watching this series a couple times. I would really love to see a Sportster taken to the maximum possible street hotrod level!
The whole spoke rear wheel idea is just to reduce rotating mass you could make the games even more significant with a carbon fiber wheel and it would really improve handling and braking too plus on average with a belt you lose anywhere from 10 to 15% power to the rear wheel and with a chain you only loose somewhere around 3 to 4
I did a very similar paint on my sporster. I wish i could show it here
My 48 is black with red push rods and the pegs/grips seat trim
how have you not ben pulled over doing these rips LMAO
Sick bike! I’d love to do that with my sportster but flat black and blue
I'm colorblind but luv it
I get it
The battle worn theme
OG INTRO LETS GOOO
I’ve watched all these because I wanted to build 120hp sportster but now I’m second guessing the build. If I putting that much money into 120hp kit that is what I want. Did you ever reach the 132hp?
I would love to see what this bike can do with 4 valve heads on it!
The og intro!!!! Nice.
Check out the Saddleman Americano. Not the most comfortable but ti will hold you in place
love the way it looks and sounds. I bet it would rip you right from the wrist. lol
Legit was holding on by my fingertips in the beginning pull from 1st to 2nd gear 😆
Oh man!
thank you blockhead for all your videos i watched alot of your videos including how to ride which i got my endorsement
I think that the OG would look great and more agressive with an ape handlebars
I wanna do this to my sportster but I don’t know where to find the time to do it. But after watching the series I have to do it.
Beautiful bike
Done the chain conversion on my stage 1 xl1200c...extra power...naaa but it feels like you have more power...bum guage says so atleast...
Great motorcycle bro
I want mine like that 💯
