@@KingKong-li2lg agree, except all monster boxes are 500 ounces, so whether you have 500 coins/rounds or 5 bars, they all are roughly the same size and weigh almost the same (the tubes add miniscule weight)

Loved the comment regarding using the 100 oz bars as a door stop in plain sight. I have an older friend who does not stack or collect but, had a husband who did in the 1970s. She is a retired physician as was her father and deceased husband. She is very financially secure and diversified. She just doesn't have any interest in precious metals. I was at her house once and she was showing me her collection of antique medical instruments. She had a heavily toned door stop leading into her library. I looked down and there was a 250 oz silver bar being used as the door stop. I've seen a ton of 50 oz. 100 oz and even a 1000 oz industrial bars. However, I had never seen a 250 oz before nor since. I told her that the value of the bar was many thousands of dollars. Her response was that her husband had had many large bars and that after his death she sold them. But, this one was his favorite so she kept it to remember him. The bar was such an odd size and shape. It would be easy to overlook thinking it is merely a heavy door stop.
When taking posession of 5 100oz bars,the USPS clerk said “Whats in this box, LEAD WEIGHTS ???” So now the box is marked as such…
I've only been stacking for about 3 years and the largest bars of Silver I have are the Asahi Kilo bars. I have 2. I would love to get a 100 oz bar but I guess that will always be out of my reach being on a fixed income. I have almost 300 oz total Silver so I think I have done pretty well in the short amount of time I've been stacking. Another great video with you and Tim. I could listen to you guys talk for hours. Hope you all have a blessed rest of your week.
100 ounces a year is nothing to sneeze at! You're doing great, just add rounds here and there when you can and you'll be far better off than the other 90% of America that hasn't even started to get real money. Keep it going and just enjoy the growth of the stack.

Absolutely. monica mary strigle, NY wealth-planner has been advising on that. Gold, especially, has historically served as a hedge during market uncertainties. It's like a safe haven.
I wonder if it's possible to diversify my 401k to include gold and silver. Has anyone looked into that? Are there benefits to having precious metals in a retirement portfolio?
Monica suggested diversifying into gold ETFs as part of balanced strategy, they have been performing well with the current price, she also said it's a smart move to add some preciuos metals

Nice. My first silver purchase ever was a 100 oz Crown Mint bar in 1981. Bought it on layaway from an ad in Numismatic News 😄 For 10 months I sent $100 off to a now defunct dealer in Port Angeles, WA.
When I started buying ounces in the late 80s, that would have been about 300 bucks 😂

I have one of the milled Engelhard bars. (The one in the plastic wrap, except mine does not have the wrap) - There is only one problem with those...Once you get your first one, you want a bunch more so it does not get lonely.
As an almost 25-year-old stacker who’s been in numismatics since 2009 or 2010 when I was 10 or 11 years old or younger, I really appreciate you and Tim for all the advice. If the serial number on the Engelhard bars is any indication, there were 718,685 bars made in between the vintage and the newer bar. Thanks so much for sharing

I own 17-100oz. Bars each one Tim displayed times two or three. To Barter 100ozs. in a Housing Collapse they’d buy a pretty nice home.
I'd rather have 17 ounces gold. Then 1700 ounces silver. (116lbs ) kind of hard to fit that into a front pocket

I like buying the 100 ounce bars. It takes so much time to mess around and buy a coin here and there and its more costly. And I bought all of that when I started stacking. Trade maybe one of those for a house in the future and I am all good.

Hey There Yankee, In the interest of lowering my (Average Cost per Share ACS), on some 100 oz bars, admittedly purchased on impulse, I just purchased (5) of the 100 OZT 100 oz CRM bars, Pimbex had those yesterday for $2320. I just helped my ACS by $250 per share, Don't be afraid of these nice stackers, especially at today's prices, Oh yeah, Tim's a cool dude!, you too.
My preference for silver is 1 kg (32.15 oz) bars... seems to be just the right size. Second most favorite is the 10 oz bars. The 100 oz bar seems a bit bulky for a single bar, but it significantly beats the price of 100 1 oz bars or 1 oz coins. For anything as small as 1 oz I prefer sovereign coins---typically Eagles or Maple Leafs.
However, I usually prefer 1 oz GOLD coins over any form of silver.

I am a Texan and have a gold/silver backed IRA with Texas Precious Metals Depository after looking at all three depositories in Texas. Out of state was out of the question. All my silver & gold at the Depository has serial numbers. Hero Bullion emailed me all the serial numbers when they shipped to the Depository. I can go there to inventory and have serial numbers to check. Best of all, after looking at my gold/silver at the Depository I can drive a couple blocks in Shiner, Texas to the Shiner Beer Brewery. 🍺

That’s a great addition yankee. The sunshine bar- I was surprised Tim said he liked it the more because they do such a nice job. I have one just like the one he showed. I was going to melt it into shot (didn’t work out) I’ve been thinking about trading it for a JM 100ozt bar. It would be nice to know why Tim personally prefers the sunshine over the JM before I actually trade it for a different bar

Wow I'd love to have one of those old Englhard Bars or Jhonson Mathew Bars 😻 but they cost to much for me lol I'd have to sell my 1 and 2 ounce Bars and premium pieces . If I started over I'd get a big bar then go towards 10 5 and 1 ounce and fractional silver but I'm very thankful for what I have silver and slabbed coins I set back for my only 3 year old daughter for when she gets older 🙏 I need to get some Gold Or platinum to add into her stack. Just one thing: gold is already at its all-time highs, but silver is barely at half, so with the gold to silver being at 1:88.90 right now, silver is by far the better to invest in, then change some over when the G:S ratio closes up... you wind up with free gold, no matter how high the gold gets! If/when it tightens even to 1:60 or so, you'll wind up with several more ounces of gold than you would have if you bought gold right now.

Those bars do make a good door stop LOL friend of mine has a 1 kilo silver bar painted black as his door stop! The only reason I know is because I just happened to notice it but nobody else ever has. Covert silver pretty cool.

Tim your very smart and more people should listen to u reguarding sound money and digital money that will not be sound money just a temporary bandaide for the devalued dollars that has been occuring for decades just more noticeable now than ever. Balance is the key....how many silver dimes buys a gallon of gas. Today. Or thirty years ago. Balance. Without balance we have an insecure global economy. Sound money. You said it perfect. 😊
one englehard is poured the other extruded, the poured has a bit of a premium the poured just a little because it's later and they made significant more. sound money is the biggest restriction to government size explosion. When the government allowed the decoupling of gold anchor to our currency it allowed not only corporations to explode in size but the government also because there was no sound control. We've been riding a wave of good times for fifty years and the bill is just about due.

My state, MO passed a bill that will ensure at least 1% or the states GPD to be held in physical gold within our state
