seeing your Mazda dropped down makes me miss my minitruck I had back in the day . I had a 86 Isuzu with 3" blocks and leafs removed and the torsion bars cranked down as low as it would go . I might have to start looking for a old B2200 now !
hey Lawrence great vid. and thanks for this vid. and also thanks for that other vid that you made with the webber carb install. you got some great Vids.
I just bought a lowered 93 Mazda B2200 for a couple hundred bucks last week. The kid tells me "it's low so it rides like shit that's why I"m selling it cheap". I get home and get under there and there are brand new lowering shocks but they didn't remove the bump stops!!! rear frame is laying on the axle and front is resting on them too!! I pulled out the bump stops and it rides 1,000% better!!! LOL.
Wow, very nice drop. I'm not a big fan of SLAMMED shit (where it's rubbing all over the place and you can't drive anywhere and what-not) but that's a clean low drop w/o being too low. Never owned a car with a torsion bar front end, very cool that you can just lower it so easy like that.
Hello,a great video done here.Would you know if i can put the front suspension of a mazda truck like yours there under a 1989 ford ranger with relative ease?My thinking is the independent suspension of the mazda gives you a better ride than the the split i beam axle of the ranger.I understand the mazda is a ranger clone.
hi Lawrence I have a 1990 mazda also, i followed your instructions but I didn't remove any springs. I like the height I got but for the front you mentioned you turned your torsion bar 14 times. Is that something I need to do or just re-index it?
I have a 1995 dodge dakota with 4 inches of blocks in the rear but I want it Lower.. I have about 3 inches between my bump stops and my rear end as it sits with the blocks.. how much lower will mono leaf drop it down if I do it ??
hey lawrence! first time watcher and subscriber. love the mini truck i have a 1991 b2200 myself. after you dropped the torsion bars in the front how was the tire wear?
is not looking good. ....is looking f.. ing sweet, 👍thanks man! wow I wish I could do it, I'm glad you got help there plus your beautiful lil girl helping, 👍nice I luv the way your truck looks now, sick 👍I'll try again. seems easy. .....but mmmmm I'll try again. 😑 God bless you.
You did that shit man!!! I can concur and also you will agree fuck the poison ivy on the junk I had that shit happen twice his year already that shot Knocks it out no itching now lol Been looking around for a Mazda s10 or hardbody to get back into the scene On the '14 full size project rite now but setting it aside to join you again
+Duncan Enering (DuncanTheGuy) I've never looked under a ranger if I remember right you will need a flip kit in order to lower the rear of your truck after that you can add blocks if need be
+Lawrence Duarte I've got shackles in the rear that lowered it 2". Then mono leafed it which dropped it about another 2".. Put lowering springs in the front and now I'm sitting pretty low..
Thanks a ton! I was going to use your 'yota vid as a guide for when I drop my b2200 later this month but this is MUCH more helpful for me :)
+colton cooper awesome glad I can help
“We looking at werkin on this sh!t!” You the man! Great video ✌️

Heck that's awesome great find.
When turning the bolt for the torsion bars do you go clockwise or counter clockwise.
Any issues after the drop shocks or anything
Video hard to see at times... But fucking successful job! and now to do my 86 b2000 , cheers guys
I just bought a truck like this off my dad I'm about to do this too!!! thanks broother !
+Juan Anzures sweet and your welcome
hey man quick question do you loosen or tighten the torsion bars?? please help me !
loosen

+MrSlowestD16 thank you very much
Love it bro just got one of these babies and Im about to lower it thnks man how much was the Ubolts
hey Lawrence how many turns on my torsion bars should i go with on just 3 inch blocks in the rear for it to be roughly level
Great video man. I would never have attempted that. Great job!
+Mr. Mazda thank you and thanks for watching

I really have no clue but anything is possible with enough research and willingness
tku you give me motivation to build my truck
+Felipe Garza your welcome now get to it haha
Lol is going to raining here in Michigan though I'm already halfway through my truck
hi Lawrence I have a 1990 mazda also, i followed your instructions but I didn't remove any springs. I like the height I got but for the front you mentioned you turned your torsion bar 14 times. Is that something I need to do or just re-index it?
If you know how to reindex. Do that it's better for the truck.
Do you have to remove those pyramid looking things where the u bolts are located?
I have a 1995 dodge dakota with 4 inches of blocks in the rear but I want it Lower.. I have about 3 inches between my bump stops and my rear end as it sits with the blocks.. how much lower will mono leaf drop it down if I do it ??
So curious why you didn't reindex?
its a best video and good job man. congratulations¡¡¡ can you tell me where are de torsion bar for de turns please.. thanks
+karlo magno arechiga thank you I saw you in the video please watch it again
hey lawrence! first time watcher and subscriber. love the mini truck i have a 1991 b2200 myself. after you dropped the torsion bars in the front how was the tire wear?
I dont drive my trucks very much so im not sure and thanks for subscribing
Alright thank you!
So 3" blocks will lower the rear about 6"? and bump stop removed up front with a few torsion bar spins will easily get me 4" up front as well?
He removed leafs from the rear as well, that's why it was 6" total
Mono leaf the rear with a 3 inch or 4 inch angled block you want an angle block to get the drive shaft strait
is not looking good. ....is looking f.. ing sweet, 👍thanks man! wow I wish I could do it, I'm glad you got help there plus your beautiful lil girl helping, 👍nice I luv the way your truck looks now, sick 👍I'll try again. seems easy. .....but mmmmm I'll try again. 😑 God bless you.
thank you so very much for all the compliments. it means alot. the help is really awesome. thank you for watching
so by looser you mean you turned it closer to the ground ? I'm stuck trying to figure out which way to loosen the bolt
+Morgan Davie loosen means to loosen that would be lowering it.
Thanks for sharing videos i need to do that to my MAZDA
Your welcome
I just got a 1980 Toyota helix everything works has 22r in it 100K I gave a set if kicker 15s amp and some rims for it and drove it home
+Kenny Banks wow that's awesome sounds like a good trade to me
Looking good. Can we get another video in the daytime? Can't wait to see it in some better light.
+Twizted1 next weekend I'll try to get it
Hey awesome video but I just did this to my truck and it's super wobbly in the front feels like I'm driving a boat is that normal??
+William Manedz no check your ball Joints and your tie rods something is loose or going bad.
Or you just need to get an alignment job done.
if u change your old shocks to lowered shocks, u will get a little lower too right?
+MikeSheila Bueche if I wanted to sit metal to metal yes
+Lawrence Duarte back in 1988, I left the bump stops on... after I trimmed them down to about 1/4"
fuck you made this look easy lol I am planning to do exactly this to my B, didn't realize it was so simple.
+NOISE BOMBZ [Dylan] lol thank you sir and sounds good get to it lol be careful and have fun thanks for watching.
Where did you get the kit to get low the rear part and how it is call it ?
Lowering blocks
You need 2 and 4 u-bolts and 8 lock washers and 8 nuts comes in a kit called a lowering block kit.
Gotta love some late night prep lol
+Josh Prichard lol true
You did that shit man!!!
I can concur and also you will agree fuck the poison ivy on the junk I had that shit happen twice his year already that shot Knocks it out no itching now lol
Been looking around for a Mazda s10 or hardbody to get back into the scene
On the '14 full size project rite now but setting it aside to join you again
+jacob parker hahaha and oh sweet
Will just a lowering block kit work to lower the rear in my 1994 ranger?
+Duncan Enering (DuncanTheGuy) I've never looked under a ranger if I remember right you will need a flip kit in order to lower the rear of your truck after that you can add blocks if need be
When loosening the torsion bars, does that create camber in your front wheels?
+The Lizard King depends on how far you go generally 3 inches lower it won't. As much as I did yes
Is there a way to lower about 2" with no camber? Joseph had a nice video where he flipped the ball joints. Lots of work, though.
+The Lizard King using the torsion bars can give up to 3 inches with no camber issues
I'm not the most mechanically-inclined, but what's the difference between you did with your B2200 and "re-indexing" the torsion bars?
si funciona bien and a drop my truck thanks
Those two guys with theyre arms crossed hand me busting up trying to look all hard ahaha
Hey I am having trouble with my lowering I am hanging up on my lower rear shocks on a three inch lip
Does the truck come with a rotary engine??
+27angles no
its a 2.2l ford ranger engine
so you loosen the bolts to the torsion bars?
+Johnathon Fernandez yes
@@earthscraper69 I don't understand in the video it says to screw the bolt
Can this be done to a single cab Chevy 1/2 ton on 15's?
+David Martinez I believe yes in the rear with a flip kit. Drop spindles and lowering Springs for the front.
+Lawrence Duarte I've got shackles in the rear that lowered it 2". Then mono leafed it which dropped it about another 2".. Put lowering springs in the front and now I'm sitting pretty low..
I like the truck so far you should put so chrome rims on it
+Bright Light Gaming thank you I got bright colors plans for this one as well
+Lawrence Duarte u welcome and how did u do it that fast I have been watching for a year now keep it up
+Bright Light Gaming guess I've done to many of these really. just don't take much time hell I even took a half an hour break haha
+Lawrence Duarte haha when is the show are u going to video while ur there
you are! 💪👍.if I need help I'll be asking you, ☺you are a great friend.
+Gabriel Alvarez I got ya bro.
how much cost you the kit 4 drop my truck and where you buy
+Jose Trinidad Granados Sanchez I don't know what kind of truck you have.
Lawrence Duarte a mazda 87 b2000
How does a mono leafed truck ride mate
with it like this it's not bad dew to it having 2 inches of travel left. just watch out for the hard bumps lol. thanks for watching.
I see how u got the back so low u took the leaf springs out only left 2
wat if u lower from the front then the back will it matter?
+Steven Serrano no
I did this but my axle hits frame like is it suppose to
Once you get low enough yes it will hit the frame
now you need to get these 17s I have for you lol
Lol I hear ya but when I get my little tires for these 14's I'll be 1 1/2 inches lower lol
nice job
+Felipe Garza thank you
