Thank you. I had no clue about this. I am a novice flyer and since my planes are all park flyer size electric foam I guess it never came up in conversations with more experienced flyers out at the field I fly at.
What a wonderful plane. So glad Eflite produced this plane.. Really fits that flyer who wants a simple warbird, but isn't a fan of the Yellow T-28 1.1m... Great review Adam and Heidi..
Ooh, nice one HH! Nice and simple. Like me. Love it... HH ought to take a leaf out of Eachine's book and make a whole rage of these as I'd be all over them. Great review, Adam.
Thanks very much! Yep, I think many needed to hear that. Bringing a totally new plane to market vs using an older mold is a night and day difference in cost.
Going to have to get this one, just easy, simple, light and beautiful. Great review Adam as always. Let’s hope HH do the same with other classic warbirds (Spitfire or Hurricane hopefully) and tool some new molds in this size class and simple configuration. Love my HH 1.1m T-28, such a quick and easy go to flyer, I’m sure this will be the same.
Nice review Adam, might just have to add this with my 1.1 Trojan. Hopefully HH will bring back a updated SE-5 top load battery :). AirHammer out!! It'll probably be the the F4U or Spitty but....
Great little plane that doesn't break the bank. I wish Stuart at hobby king would send you some planes for reviewing. See something different. They have a great sale right now. Very underrated in my opinion. Thanks adam.
It is Jay! Simple, fun little Mustang! We have one of the V3 DF Vampies to get to at some point. They don't release as many new planes as Horizon, but we usually get them when they do.
good looking plane...I've watched B. Hoover many times on one wheel; usually back and forth (wing rock) :-); then roll up to the flight line with engine off....👍
I have a Parkzone plane that looks just like this? It is one of my favorites. I was bummed out when they discontinued it. I also had the Parkzone L-4A Grasshopper. Another one of my old-school favorites that I taught many friends to fly using a buddy box and the L-4A Grasshopper. Great review Adam. I'm going to have to get one for a belly-lander.
It sure is a beauty. I do love tinkerin with the little planes. And this one might be my Coup de gras! Flaps with a couple fms plastic gear 9gs and a 45amp Avian lite to over volt that poor little motor with whatever 4 blade prop solution i can dig up? Yes please. Probably before i even maiden her. 😊 But, wow! What a great 2nd plane for someone that already has a couple 3s 2200s from their trainer. If I'd seen this back then, it'd be beat hell and full of Foam2Foam. Instead of the FMS 1.3m pa18 that i got for my 2nd plane. Which flies great to this day, i might add. Great review, Adam. Awesome filmimg, Heidi 👍
That original Parkzone hand toss Ferocious Frankie was my first warbird. I see this new P-51 is the same dimension's. Not that I need another P-51, but how can I resist.
Such a great presentation Adam & Heidi. Flies really great in your capable hands. I do not think it will be in my hangar though due to: 1 expensive here A$500 vs the last model with flaps, retracts, better 3 blade prop etc @ A$550 or less during sales. This has a strange motor/prop sound? Many thanks for a great presentation.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very nice warbird for sure. Perfect for a step up after a trainer, like myself. I've got a turbo timber evolution umx. It's an awesome park cruiser. I would like to get a bigger plane for Christmas. I'm down to picking out one of two of these planes. This new p51 or the Viper 64mm. What are the strengths and weaknesses??? And what might be best for me??? Thank you for sharing these awesome planes with us. ❤
Man those are both very good choices, but both very different. I would say if you started with a UMX as your trainer, go with the P-51. That way you can get used to something a good bit faster without it being such a jump. Make the Viper your third plane. This is especially if you are flying at parks. If you are a member of a flying club that has more room, you could go with either if you are really confident with your UMX TTE.
@@ModelAV8RChannel 😊👍👍👍 now if I can convince RusticIvy Gaming to pick it up for Christmas lol and she would like you to check out her page lol it is not rc planes lol
I like this one!I had the arrows 1.1 well this past Veterans Day didn’t go as expected I lost my rudder clevis it unscrewed out somewhere during flight n so I didn’t have no rudder and it just fell from the sky into pieces I might just pick this one up instead! Still deciding tho
Another great video. I will get this one soon. I have never balanced a prop , Do you need a device to do that? Since I am new to the hobby I have never did that but have had no problems so far. Nice to know it can land on grass.
You will. The Du bro balancer is the best out there. It can be adjusted to balance almost any size RC prop. Pricey, but worth it. You'll use it with every plane or prop you ever get if you're smart. Thanks for the kind words! Absolutely a DX8 will do fine. Just set it up like you normally would. The stock AS3X+ settings are fine, so not being able to change them is not an issue. It will fly just like an earlier AS3X plane would, but better.
Hey, just getting into RC planes so I understand you need a transmitter for this what budget but reliable (speaking around 200$ or less) transmitter should I get for this. The RTF version comes with a cheaper transmitter and a trial version of the Realflight trainer simulator...which will help you a great deal. Thanks man! Yep, what a great replacement for that old PZ! Personally I'd stick with the 2200's and keep it light if at all possible...being light is part of why it flies so good. It also is very efficient, so you can get a long flight time on that pack. You do make more watts (power) with a higher capacity pack, but it is nominal, not tremendous. It isn't usually enough to overcome the added weight of the bigger/heavier pack and still add enough over that for you to notice. All that said, you already have the 3200's, which is a valid reason to use them. 2200's are inexpensive though (as lipos go, lol) and they will provide the best overall performance on both ends of the speed envelope.
