    Thank you. I had no clue about this. I am a novice flyer and since my planes are all park flyer size electric foam I guess it never came up in conversations with more experienced flyers out at the field I fly at.

      Yeah, it's a little more advanced, great second or third plane after mastering a trainer.

    What a wonderful plane. So glad Eflite produced this plane.. Really fits that flyer who wants a simple warbird, but isn't a fan of the Yellow T-28 1.1m... Great review Adam and Heidi..

    Ooh, nice one HH! Nice and simple. Like me. Love it... HH ought to take a leaf out of Eachine's book and make a whole rage of these as I'd be all over them. Great review, Adam.

    Going to have to get this one, just easy, simple, light and beautiful. Great review Adam as always. Let’s hope HH do the same with other classic warbirds (Spitfire or Hurricane hopefully) and tool some new molds in this size class and simple configuration. Love my HH 1.1m T-28, such a quick and easy go to flyer, I’m sure this will be the same.

    I have a Parkzone plane that looks just like this? It is one of my favorites. I was bummed out when they discontinued it. I also had the Parkzone L-4A Grasshopper. It sure is a beauty. I do love tinkerin with the little planes. And this one might be my Coup de gras! Flaps with a couple fms plastic gear 9gs and a 45amp Avian lite to over volt that poor little motor with whatever 4 blade prop solution i can dig up? Yes please. Probably before i even maiden her. 😊
    But, wow! What a great 2nd plane for someone that already has a couple 3s 2200s from their trainer. If I'd seen this back then, it'd be beat hell and full of Foam2Foam. Instead of the FMS 1.3m pa18 that i got for my 2nd plane.
    Which flies great to this day, i might add.

    Flies really great in your capable hands.
    I do not think it will be in my hangar though due to: 1 expensive here A$500 vs the last model with flaps, retracts, better 3 blade prop etc @ A$550 or less during sales.

    Very nice warbird for sure. Perfect for a step up after a trainer, like myself. I've got a turbo timber evolution umx. It's an awesome park cruiser. I would like to get a bigger plane for Christmas. I'm down to picking out one of two of these planes. This new p51 or the Viper 64mm. What are the strengths and weaknesses??? And what might be best for me??? Thank you for sharing these awesome planes with us. ❤

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man those are both very good choices, but both very different. I would say if you started with a UMX as your trainer, go with the P-51. That way you can get used to something a good bit faster without it being such a jump. Make the Viper your third plane. This is especially if you are flying at parks. If you are a member of a flying club that has more room, you could go with either if you are really confident with your UMX TTE.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You will. The Du bro balancer is the best out there. It can be adjusted to balance almost any size RC prop. Pricey, but worth it. You'll use it with every plane or prop you ever get if you're smart. Link below -

      Thanks for the kind words! Absolutely a DX8 will do fine. Just set it up like you normally would. The stock AS3X+ settings are fine, so not being able to change them is not an issue. It will fly just like an earlier AS3X plane would, but better.

    Hey, just getting into RC planes so I understand you need a transmitter for this what budget but reliable (speaking around 200$ or less) transmitter should I get for this. I’m also a beginner but I have delt with rc cars boats drones so I feel like I could probably handle this do you think it would be a good fit for me. Also could you please explain what 3 sils or cils are because you were surprised it could take off with just 3.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm a bit surprised you don't know what cell count is with your experience with RC cars and boats...which use the same kind of batteries. Cell count is the number of cells in series in a Lipo battery. The more cells, the more voltage. So 3s = three cells in series at 12.6 volts, 4s = four cells in series at 16.8 volts.
      Unfortunately, RC cars and boats don't prepare you for airplanes...they are much harder to handle because you can't just stop and take a break if it isn't going well. Once you takeoff you're committed...you're gonna land or crash. The P-51 is not a trainer, and that is what you need. The HobbyZone AeroScout is a great trainer. The RTF version comes with a cheaper transmitter and a trial version of the Realflight trainer simulator...which will help you a great deal. You will want to upgrade that transmitter before you get a second plane... the P-51 would make a good second plane after you get some experience. When you get a better transmitter, get a good one like the Spektrum NX7e+ or the NX8+. You don't want to get into the habit of an upgrade being "just barely enough". You'll end up upgrading several times as the planes you get start getting bigger, better, and more complicated. Its actually cheaper to just get a good transmitter right off the bat...you'll be glad you did. You will for sure need it sooner than later.

    • @Geraldwatkin
      @Geraldwatkin หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ thank you a lot that definitely helped I looked into it a bit more and realized that a nice transmitter will save you because you can use the same transmitter for different airplanes. I won’t get ahead of myself and I’ll start with a beginner 😂

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, and a better transmitter will have features and capabilities you'll need. Best of luck on your Model aviation journey! We have some instructional vids and if there is anything else we can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.

Sorry about that. I'm so glad I asked him...I was going to order one to replace my OG NX7e that I updated to + literally just to get the voice. I use mine all the time. Great TX and if I could have voice on it to match my other TX's I was going to get it. I would have been so pissed, lol. Still, 14 channels and all the programming capability...awesome TX.

    Nice review as always, Adam. This just came out? Wow! Reminds me of my park zone bnf from 14 years ago, I would've given my left arm for one today if I found one🤣 till I saw your video. Wow! Flys nice, how would it fly on a smart 4s 3200 50c, faster? I have a couple of those laying around.

    • @ModelAV8RChannel
      @ModelAV8RChannel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks man! Yep, what a great replacement for that old PZ! Personally I'd stick with the 2200's and keep it light if at all possible...being light is part of why it flies so good. It also is very efficient, so you can get a long flight time on that pack. You do make more watts (power) with a higher capacity pack, but it is nominal, not tremendous. It isn't usually enough to overcome the added weight of the bigger/heavier pack and still add enough over that for you to notice. All that said, you already have the 3200's, which is a valid reason to use them. 2200's are inexpensive though (as lipos go, lol) and they will provide the best overall performance on both ends of the speed envelope.
