    Another good video and I had my one and only professional bike fit at 62. Learned a lot and had a good time with the staff. Anyone who has dogs or allows dogs in there shops are spot on people. Take care, Al

      Yes completely agree about dogs too!

    I have wide and flat feet, tried the Lake CX332 in wide but the sole was too "curved" towards the front of the foot and resulted in discomfort after about 25mins of riding. Then tried the CX241, absolute heaven! Got the MX241 (MTB version) as well now. My feet have never been so happy.

      Awesome to hear you’ve found a shoe that works for you too

    Good video again guys! Lake & G8 insoles for all my bike riding 👍superb gear all round. Thanks for the nod Chris to the bike fit kit website. It was lovely to see Marshal on your video again!

      @ChrisHallRides I'll be definitely checking the website, Chris, so many thanks for highlighting. Quality videos as always, cheers! Graham.

    Yes I do need to revisit the fit and get saddle pressure mapping, now I know what my psychical problem is, hopefully that can elevate the issue. I agree with the bars I'm also finding drop bars more comfy on the hardtail just taken me a year to get the bike built.

    • @ChrisHallRides
      @ChrisHallRides  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But it’s built now so that’s the most important thing 🙌

    I have the same issue with my shoes as you do, where the carbon rises up the side too much. Great to know its not just me that has shoe issues. Going to invest in a shoe fitting. Great video thanks

      Yeah definitely worth spending some time with a fitter and then trying on a variety of different options

    Love Marshall. He looks a bit like a cross between German Wire-Haired Pointer and Spaniel

      Believe it or not he’s a labradoodle!! Also check out the Wes Anderson film Isle of Dogs. He looks like most of the dogs in that film

    What made you remove the dropped post? I'm thinking on more techy descent the road bars put more weight forwards making a dropper post more beneficial.
    Had a fit with Dan a couple of weeks ago, just had my Lake CX332's delivered and left his with e Gebeomized saddle :D

    • @ChrisHallRides
      @ChrisHallRides  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just decided to remove it more from a weight perspective to be honest. I agree would still be very useful. Glad to hear you had a fit with Dan too!

    Flat pedals and sandals Chris.
    Only way fwd.
    No going back.

    I'd go for SPD pedals, there's marginal gains on road ones and much less comfy for your feet.

    • @ChrisHallRides
      @ChrisHallRides  ปีที่แล้ว

      for bikepacking stuff I use SPD but for road cycling and TTs etc I use SPD-SL. I prefer how it feels for that kind of thing

    Been searching for that wider fit shoe for years.. I’m currently riding the Fizik Terra Atlas which they claim is their widest fitting shoe but I’m not convinced and sizing up just make them feel slack on the heal. I’ve heard the Quoc Gran Tourer are really good for width.

    • @ChrisHallRides
      @ChrisHallRides  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve tried both of them. The fizik ones are very narrow and the quoc ones aren’t wide enough for me but they are wider than the fizik ones

      @@ChrisHallRides it’s so hard finding a decent fit especially with the price of things.. I wear vivobarefoot and Lems as my daily so going from them into a cycling shoe is pain. Loving the channel by the way.

      Yep! I’ve not tried the newest ones though so they may be different. I’m still a huge fan of them
