BTW, over 50 years worth of experience talking here, never just put all the screws, bolts etc in a bag or container without knowing which hole they belong in. Like removing the glove compartment, the inside fixings left and right, two different types, one machine thread to go into metal clip on plastic and the other a really gnarly looking self tapper that goes into plastic! BUT!! they are reversed on each side!! What I soon learned to do as a 15yr old stripping down my BSA Bantam (!) in 1968 was to draw the shapes of engine casings etc onto cardboard and push each stud, screw, allen head etc etc through the outline in the position it belonged. The glove compartment was last removed 20 years ago when 'they' fitted a gps tracker, I discovered they'd got the side screws the wrong way round thereby cracking the plastic and stripping the metal clip! They wouldn't have if they'd done what I suggest, it also saves one helluva lot of time when you come to reassemble.
hey prance after removing my clocks can’t get em to line up properly i adjust them then when start engine the needles go back down again they work just wrong place 😂
Cheers mate, great vid. I blew my heater matrix a couple of weeks back, new one arrived yesterday and I kept looking at the dash and thinking "Thats gonna be a nightmare!"............after watching this I feel a lot more confident. Gonna Forever Black the dash while its out, too. Well done mucker!
Great video now my go to for t4 stuff . That Allen bolt had me stuck knew it was held around there .. Keep it up boss hopefully mine will be sorted and on the road by summer, rear springs question I’ve put lowering springs on that look coil bound except for the last coil . I’m thinking they are rubbish quality ??😊
Hi mate and thanks I'm pleased you found my channel All depends on the springs and the weight you have in your van some springs and weight rated so there not always crap springs just wrong for your van
@@PranceProject no idea cheap ebay specials bud . Needs upgrading so will look for those cheers . I will put a littlr video up of it's restoration in a couple of days
@Johns51 yer have a look at them as the sound like low weighted ones Faulkner's do from about 3.5 inch to about 7 inch springs and from I think 900 up like 1500 lbs
I fitted a double din stereo in my dash so I had to cut the foam ducting out the way that went to the middle vents. When I replaced the matrix I had to take the plastic ducting out that houses the fan for the vents. While doing the heater matrix a chopped it down further and spray glued the sides together so I don't get cold air wafting through. better than the tea towel I had stuffed in it 😂
I need to sort my ducting out aswel I have a towel in mine haha. Was just going to chop it down and leave it blowing cold air cooling down the tablet and other tech haha
@@PranceProject I did think that too. But I wasn’t too sure how difficult the removal would be. Plus the family love weekends out in it. Plan on repainting the dash and the exterior which was painted in raptor paint by previous owner. Not the best diy job, but will try and tidy it up. Massive game tonight 🏴
Yeah you should manage to get it painted and back in in one day i did, done about 3/4 coats aswel just pick a hot day 👍 Should be a good game tonight the on to Denmark I reckon
@@PranceProject I’m fortunate to workout of a big warehouse, so I’ll just work in there in the winter. Yes mate, the Danes do look good. So providing we get the job done, I think a semi against Denmark is on the cards.
Haha thanks man do it I know you will do somthing awsome, its well easy aswel a few screws and bolts and it's out if I didnt film would have been like 30 mins, When you do it send me pics haha

@Johns51 what weighted springs have you got on at the moment
Just get a few higher as I'm guessing you got like 900 then get 1200 instead
