Ahh, signs of life through the messaging system..was beginning to think you had completely lost it with windscreen install and had blown her up, glad that isn’t the case. Very looking forward to the next nail biting episode..so hurry up and post it..need the fix man.

Lots of work done and a bit more to go. My LT35 requires similar work although not sure how profound the treatment needs to be for a cure. Only doing what you’ve done will allow me to see that. Hopefully won’t find anything too bad but that’s in the future. Really enjoy your videos and processes some great tips keep at it...

    Great job 👍.
@16:15 which type of sealer will you use? I've the same problem, sealer had peeled off as it approaches the windscreen.

I’ve used tiger seal, however I don’t think it’s the right thing to use as it remains too flexible and the primer doesn’t adhere to it well and peels when it’s flexed around. I’d like to know what the product is that is used by the manufacturer

Bit of googling came up with this, Novol 630. I'll use it

I had to remove one today (T4 windscreen) on a customers ... I got it out eventually using semtex 'cos nothing normal would remove it.. Ok, not semtex, but it did look like I used it.. Came out in 20,000 pieces, after a long battle. New Screen please!! Not a hope in hell was it coming out in one piece & I have removed A LOT of windscreens over the years without ever, not ever, to date, having cracked one - the first time todays one cracked, I was gutted.. I promptly got over being gutted as the screen was a replacement someone had glued in using God knows what. By crack number 80, I no longer cared. BIN!!

First time I’ve ever put a window in was on this van. There’s a follow up video of the install. ‘Master bond’ was the product I used. Was really good stuff. Two tubes is more than enough, one might leave you short. Can’t remember exactly.

Hi, I am probably wrong but….I’m sure I’ve seen a windscreen install on TH-cam some time back and the installer was adamant that the sealant should mat onto clean steel around the window..otherwise it doesn’t seal well and leaks. May be worth double checking..like I said I’m probably wrong but for the sake of a few minutes versus a few hours spraying…

I googled it, it’s a well debated subject. Basically the paint needs to be very well cured ( in an oven) if not then the chemicals remain wet and can delaminate over time due to vibration etc, probably why your side window is falling out. Also the quality of the paint is important. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Koi, I have indeed done some more work to the van but not a great deal due to work and the rubbish weather. Working on it this week so hopefully have another video going out soonish. No base coat done yet.

If you go for a straight colour a solid colour in 2K it will probably cost you about 500 for a self prep if you're going base coat and lacquer you are probably talking £1,000 Plus
