- My AtGames Legends Ultimate ALU buttons & joysticks were unresponsive. Here is what I did to troubleshoot. Contents of the video include what I did before contacting customer service, my interactions with customer service, and the installation of a new control board.
Disclaimer: this is my first attempt at using video editing software. Please forgive the horrible production of this, I tried a quirky thing or two here just to attempt them and they failed miserably :D

The ctr board fixed my machine. I was having the exact problem. Just make sure you order the right board.
Cheers mate 👍 I recently had the same issues and ordered the replacement control board. I was disappointed that no instructions were provided but thanks to your video made replacing it a doddle! Thanks!
Had the cab under a year and exact same scenario including the blinking bluetooth lights, no controls, atgames email responses and even daughter's nail polish. Only thing different were the 2 files loaded to a flash drive did not give me any prompt. They told me I needed to replace the CTR board and so I emptied my pockets and adhered; $35 shipped. The troubleshooting took longer than the circuit board swap. Also, some of the ctr cables didn't noticeably snap back in but everything booted up and works for now after the fix including the coinopsx drive. Thanks for posting so I could at least see the hellish maw I was jumping into before actually jumping!
Thank you very much for posting this video. Had the same problem too and almost bought another control deck but thankfully it was the replacement part I had to get. Thanks again. 👊🎮
Great job! I had the same problem but it was with my arcade control panel on my ALP. I got the same response from customer service as you did with the download of a fix that didn't work. Finally, they said I needed a new circuit board for 20 dollars plus s/h. It appears they have some bad chips in their control panel products.
Great video, just replaced mine today; works perfectly fine now.
Thanks it works! So much easier to follow your install instructions. The new board did the trick!!!
Good stuff, thanks man! I literally just installed the bit pixel lcd and the thing died. It started acting wonky a few days ago and I pretty much tried everything I could to fix it. Guess I'll be ordering that encoder board.
OMG thanks so much
This is awesome thanks for the video. Just a quick question, did you need to reinstall CoinOpsX / BitPixel stuff or was that all in tact since it was on your USB? I have pretty much the same exact setup, and the same exact problem. I have a new board sitting here, just trying to find out if I need to redo all the coinops and bitpixel stuff after I put the new board in.
No need to reinstall anything. The control board I replaced simply controls the joysticks/buttons/trackballs.
When your board was unresponsive were the Bluetooth lights flashing fast next to the power button? Good video!
Hey , I bought this machine and game options are moving to it’s left by itself. They asked me to reset it. It’s still doing the same. By chance do you know how to fix it?? Thank you
Sorry, don't know. I'd pull the joystick out of the unit and see if anything is physically wrong with it, but that's a complete wild guess.
Hi there. I had an issue with one of my joysticks getting stuck to the right and resolved by doing what he did in this video, but instead of replacing that board, i noticed the switch on the joystick moving in that direction was sticking. So i took a q tip with a tiny dab of wd40 and worked it on the switch. That was like 2 years ago and it's worked fine since. Good luck!
@@Bigwoj1 thank you for sharing this
I have the same problem.
Mine failed recently too. Atgames support is a joke. It's faulty hardware..........
My board stoped to work after latest update 😢
