Thanks for your comment. This skill was completed according to Arizona State Board of Nursing requirements, and no steps were skipped. For CNAs in other states there may be different requirements so remember to always stay current with your own state's procedures.
Thanks for your reply. I'm sure a dental hygienist would spend quite a bit more time in problem areas. These skills are intended for use by Certified Nursing Assistants doing basic teeth care on a resident or patient. We are showing students the basic technique. For this skill a specific amount of time is not required by the AZ State Board of Nursing. Thanks for the feedback!
i see a lot of washing hands then pulling privacyscreen and adjusting the bed, aren't you suppose to do all that then wash your hands immediately before touching the patient? At least thats what i learnt
A good video if all you are doing is outlining the steps you need to take. As a dental hygiene student I can tell you that if she was really brushing someones teeth she didn't spend near enough time in each area to get anything clean.
I agree that washing your hands is probably a good idea after this skill. Our state board of nursing requires hand sanitizer so that is how we teach it. Always use good judgement! Thanks for your feedback! azmti.com
THIS IS REALLY CLEAR AND PERFECT FOR THE STUDENT
I think the patient probably could have been seated higher. Thanks for the feedback!
great video. I start my cna training in two weeks

I see your point. I would probably do it that way too. Good observation!
I wish Georgia allowed us to use hand sanitizer good job ladies
No need to rinse the toothbrush between different aspects of the brushing ?
Thank you so much for this

Bed needed to be higher, poor patient almost choked
well done but i believe in washing hands with soap instead of using hand sanitizer
