PokeRogue is a unique rogue-lite experience set in the Pokemon universe. Never forget the Minun Massacre of '24
You may notice it farther in the video but with the memory mushroom you missed garganacl signature move, salt cure, does 1/8th a Pokémon’s max hp every turn until they switch out.
And does more damage to steel n water types
Also needs some more moves for togekiss like moonblast or aura sphere that were missed on evolution
Man, that Minun at floor 72 almost ruin Retro's run all by himself, and made the rest of the 70's floor absolutely amusing in Retro's mental state
If you get another memory mushroom, get salt cure on garganacl. It is a %hp every turn that increases if used on a water type. Its the big reason to have the funny salt man.
Finally a Pokemon game that I can get into! Love your commentary and gameplay - it's a great mix of entertainment and education as always !
Same. I havent been into Pokemon since Red and Blue in middle school, but this kinda scratches the itch and makes me feel like I can get caught up on 20 years of new pokemon.

7:21 lava plume has a 30% chance to burn while flame thrower has 10%
scorching sand also got a 30% chance it would probably be amazing if togekiss had serene grace, flying move is great though

Today's daily has some good dragon mon IV/Natures if anyone is interested in catching some. :). I finally got my Swablu to a playable status thanks to it.
Whats a playable state? Are IVs that important here? Havent played much and got only up to shiny rayquaza stage
@@rafaelfernandes6855 IVs can make a big difference, yes, from 50-100 stat points at level 100 (and this game goes further on, so it's even more important). In the early game, differences in IV are barely noticeable, but as the game goes longer the more you'll feel them. (And natures are usually perceptible throughout the game).
When I say playable I usually mean relevant IVs that are in the high 20s. Some Pokémon need less to be considered good, but Altaria stats are kinda mediocre and it needs a little help being a sweeper or a bulky defender.
finished my first daily today, felt pretty nice with something shorter
@@smievil right? Some days are a bit brutal with the match ups and I don't bother finishing them, but all in all it's refreshing to do a 50 wave challenge with mons you're not used to.
certainly didn't expect the togekiss sweep.
I don't follow pokemon much, but this series is fun XD every episode I see a dozen pokemon that I didn't even know were real lol

In garganacl the end is NACL for NA+CL the chimical formula of salt

Run 11 update. Current wave 145, had to redo several times so far, but I am working on a strategy. Ivy has one ground type specifically to deny my lightning type. Whenever I sand anyone out other than my lightning she switches away instantly.
could get a free attack if you know she's gonna switch and then you switch into something that can take her hit. spikes move might also help.
can be frustrating when rival is higher level and switches away low health pokemons so you don't get xp.
i like trying to pick the stat boost items before rival, maybe rerolling a little if i have money but will need to heal after that though.

Togekiss sweep indeed. Just need a good fairy move on it now. I'm surprised salt man has been as useful as he is.
I'm some days behind on these videos and I'm loving them all. I'm sad to see that they have been posted daily and I look now and there are no new ones. I'm scared this is the last run 😭

14:43 pidove seem to only learn special moves despite only having good physical attack, might be good with tm or egg moves though
Poltchageist is an amazing pokemon. Macha Gacha is hugely OP and from what I saw it fully works even though it has the (p) next to it.
Great run and what a team so far. Definitely liked the progress of this video, it hurt so much watching that status moment 😅. Definitely would look to get salt cure for Garg, atleast for the Eterna fight at the end. And find a PP max for some moves, like giga drain whenever you can.

Serene grace ancient power can be legit good but togetic is primarily a paraflinch thing and by extension airslash. Because serene grace is nuts.

The episode where you question how positive this series are for Retromation's mental state, thankfully the skills and luck prevailed, but it really was touch and go.
I really want this series to continue, but not at the expense of Retromation's sanity, because that's definitely more precious than any series.
It was good to see the bounce back at the end, instead for being left with a possible run ending cliffhanger.
I also love krabby and kingler lol, great designs

Nacli, Naclstack and Garganacl all have NaCl in because that's the chemical compund of salt, sodium (Na) chloride (Cl), so it'd still be pronounced Garganacl as it's spelt, because it's a fusion of gargantuan (pertaining to it's size) and NaCl, it's a big pile of salt cubes!
Not backseating just FYI: Last resort can be used after every other move has been used once in this battle, assuming it does not recount after wild battles I think it is a great move
in the original games would you be able to use it if it is the only move you got?

I think it is completely good if a bit greedy. One surprise special attack during your many set up turns and poof!
Were there any stat buffing moves for togekiss that you can mushroom, like a nasty plot? Instead of relying on the power for allrise. Granted, it being a real pokemon now means that matters less, but maybe for guaranteed value out of baton pass?
Typhlosion is fantastic with eruption
So I got a floor one exp all but lost due to a trainers kabuto before the first gym battle
eruption is a 150*[pokemon remaing hp%]bt move
typhlosion is not that fast and he gets blaze so it's probably not worth it on him

This game is bad for my heart. I had the perfect team, covered everything, great items, and then a Random Gengar uses Sludge Wave 6 times and I lose.
Noone said abything about Eruption 150 power 100 acc hit all enemies only move? Thats my 1turn killer till 180 xD
