The reason Sticky Web didn't work is because all hazards and stat buffs are reset every time you enter a trainer battle, so even if you set up one beforehand, it won't carry over.

Minor Mechanical Spoilers: You sounded confused as to why the map kept giving you water biomes. Thats because its actually a set map of paths, that you randomly pick through each time, so you can navigate to specific biomes if you know the route. So X biome always leads to A, B, and C. But without the map, its rng which one you go to.
Note: some routes between biomes are rng in if they appear, but besides the Fairy Cave, its pretty consistent to route.
They recently changed some paths, so that you're less likely to be stuck in water biome purgatory.
My reason for playing with retries on is that to me its a puzzle. Why did I lose? Is it possible to win? What am I not seeing? I tried a battle like 30 times once being swept by a Mewtwo's psychic, even drawing a map of all the possible turns, only to realize I had Weavile who I forgot was immune to Psychic the whole time, and then disregarding the carefully planned paths I had discovered and easily sweeping lol.
Another time I was down to 2 very weak Pokémon against a team of 5 and found a way after dozens of attempts. THAT feeling is the best ever for me!
So if youre the type who likes Chess, puzzles or escape rooms, I recommend both playing the Daily Challenge and using retries.
I love the game, really reignited my love for mons but I see people complaining that it's just mashing a repeatedly and that they hate it, endless sure becomes very repetitive but classic is a lot of fun and offers you so many ways to beat it

@@JustJoules same here, I was rather burned out from gen 9 as well but this is the most fun I had with anything pokemon in recent years

@@JustJoulesIt can be just a mashing if you decide to use say kowtow cleave moxie sneasel as a starter but that's my own fault
@@destroyer4929 That's just strats though, haha. Finding a pokemon that can fly through the game with no worries, or minimal worries is a legitimate strategy, and if that's what you've decided to do, you can't complain that it's too easy or you just spam the A button, haha.
If you wanna be OP, you gotta learn to mash the A button.
I love this game so much! Tho I'd like to contest the title lol Emerald Rogue is my favorite
The way the map works is each biome has a set of biomes it can transition to, the map gives you the option to choose on of those biomes
I don't know if it is comment bait, but for the sake of SEO maybe change PokeRouge to PokeRogue (In the title, tags and description)? It would be a shame if you put a lot of effort into your video and didn't get the views it deserves because two letters were switched

@@SpruceSapCandy The start was rough for me as well but I gotta say getting some good egg moves and more starters and candy for them really helped me, my first classic win was carried hard by Venusaur, Squirtle and Fuecoco with some egg moves

Any time you animate returning/sending a Pokémon it resets everything. This happens every trainer battle and is why you didn’t have sticky webs up for your E4 fight.
Pokerogue was such a fun game, but for some reason I was doing a endless and it logged me out, and didn't let me back in. That happened the day I finished classic, so I was so sad :(

I rly like excadrill for classic Learns a great moveset. Has good stats. And if you play enough to get its passive sand stream, it can activate its own sand storm abilities. As moveset i use swords dance, earthquake, rock slide and metal claw (if i find iron head TM i switch metal claw for it)
I got the DNA Splicer and thought it only worked on Kyurem... it did not it works on every pokemon. It was a game change, charmander and bulbasaur? awesome green and orange sprite but leftovers leech seed and flamethrower is so op

If you didn't know the mouve in two turn lock action away for you and trainers , as for mouves like outrages if it hit once it lock in even if it hit uneffective. if it end the mon get confused. 👌🗿

This game is so fun I had 10x more fun with it then I had with scarlet and violet but it did piss me off a couple of times
I managed to get thunderstone from the very first item drop for pikachu, and Ivy had water and flying pokemon. So far blessed run 👌😎👍
I chose the female charchter for smaller hit box’s I swear😊
My first attempt went up to 50th Floor with a Protean team as starters.
My second attempt went horribly wrong.

Legendary machine only has a chance to get that legendary at the time and only if you get a legendary egg which ups it from 1/256 to 1/128 and it might not even be that legendary so it’s better to pull from the shiny up machine at first.

Fantastic concept for a Pokemon game. Be weary of Pokemon wiping your team with random moves tho.
I had an enemy Fearow kill my Steelix with Heat Wave(a move that Fearow shouldn't be able to use).
Your run could end unexpected because of dumb stuff like that.
Otherwise, it's a very fun game!
Heat wave is an eligible move tutor move for Fearow via gen 3 and 4 iirc
I’ve hatched 170 eggs, all from the shiny up machine. Literally 0 shinies from those, but I found a full odds shiny kricketune

I finally managed to beat Classic Mode after like 25 runs. I was even handicapped by one of my mons being a frigging Zigzagoon, but it was actually clutch because its Sand Attack caused Eternatus to miss a couple times!

Actually the thought came to mind when I was playing, but I ended up ditching the masquerain with soak for a blastoise that particular run. Neat! :D

I think Pokerogue is cool, but once you have beaten the classic, mode there wasnt really anything that motivated me to keep playing.
Sure, endless mode can be fun, seeing how far you can get, but it just didnt give me the itch.
Maybe they could implement different varients of the classic mode or smth.
