These are a great mower my last one lasted for over 10 Years and I cut grass for a living oil change every 2 months new plug every 12 months clean and oil every season and thats it I gave it away just in case because it was getting old "IT IS STILL RUNNING AS WE SPEAK" from another grass cutter who had just started up What a machine they are and well worth a re build well done sir !!!
I've done hundreds of mowers over the years and always got great satisfaction seeing the end result and found it very rewarding in every way. I used to buy as many petrol and the odd electric mower from a guy at our local tip, £5 - £10 for a petrol and £2 - £5 for the electrics depending on make and condition and if the grass box was there. Happy days, especially during the summer season. Many thanks for the video, brought back some good memories and makes me want to do it again some day.
Nice man! It’s definitely satisfying to see the end result. I have been doing this as a hobby for a few years now and really enjoy it. It’s so rewarding because you are taking something that’s considered rubbish and giving it a new lease of life. You definitely should do some more :) Thanks for watching!
i always thought that the cast is made from some sort of cast iron and you cant weld it. Thank you so much for this video. Ill try renovating my old honda lawn mower that i have sitting in my garage :)
They’re pressed from sheets of steel I believe and powder coated from factory. No problem, glad you found it useful. Thanks for watching and good luck with your project 👍🏼😊
I have been trying to pick one up with a half decent body for over a year now, with no joy..most being sold with rotted body..which cost over £130 to replace..deliberate or just bad design??.. can't have a machine lasting to long, can we Honda?
Once the decks start to go it doesn’t take long for the rust to take over. If they made the decks to last nobody would need another mower so I guess they have to give them a weak point so people keep buying the newer versions 👍🏼
@@TurnersWorkshop97 ..I used to work for Hoover Floorcare manufacturer, the adopted a similar strategy in the 80's when they realised that their old Hoover Junior vacs were lasting 20 years and more, so they designed one that would only last a couple of years..now that a Chinese company own the Hoover brand..they are lucky to last 2 years.
😂 Sounds about right, most companies are run by the accountants now. They always need to be making more so it’s a wonder how it will be in years to come.

You've done a better job than original manufacturers have done
Thank you! Hopefully it will last a long time

That's illegal. Once it's at the tip it can't be resold. It belongs to the local council

Thank you 😊
Enjoy watching this one brilliant

Nice
What do you use to clean before spraying the spray paint?
Isopropyl alcohol :)
Do you have to take the petrol and oil out first to do this ?
Probably best to drain the petrol but the oil can stay in. Just try and keep the engine upright or else it will be smokey when you start it up 😊
@@TurnersWorkshop97 I have this mower and need to do the same thing in this video , I can’t bare to throw it away and buy a new cheaper mower
where did u pick up the honda izzy stickers m8 drop a link in
EBay mate, there is a link in the description 👍🏼😊
Does Izy require special Honda keys to disassemble?
Hi, no special tools required for this model. One of the reasons I like these machines 👍🏼

10w-30 is the recommended 👍🏼
