In loving memory of Tony Dow April 13, 1945-July 27, 2022 I've never had an older brother, but I consider Tony Dow as an older brother to me. Wally Cleaver is my favorite big brother in TV history. I watch _Leave It to Beaver_ religiously. Rest in heavenly peace, Tony Dow.
Oh no it's not gone to rest. It comes on MeTV Channel in the morning. It's a free Channel ! I don't have Cable, just an antenna n I am honored to get to watch this show every day, thank goodness. I am so blessed.
Don't you wish the world could get that innocence back where you could leave your doors unlocked let your kids play outside by themselves go to the park by themselves you can't leave your children alone at all anymore it's a sad sad world we live in
im 74 now grew up watching Leave It To Beaver ,,,l wish l was a kid again had alot of fun in happier times R I P Tony Dow we will see you again someday.
Me too, had a big crush on Wally, such a good show, he has a special place in my heart. I am glad he is with Jesus, The cleaver family all Christians, I will see them in God s kingdom, someday. I admire them, thank God for saving us.💜🙏🙋♀️
In the pantheon of childhood television icons,, Tony Dow's unforgettable Wally Cleaver looms large. This is a huge loss for the generation that came of age during the run of the show. R.I.P.- and thanks for the precious (and hilarious) memories.
Wally was my favorite character on LITB. I have the DVD box set and watch Seasons 5 & 6 the most. This compilation highlights the reason why. Rest in Peace Tony Dow. And thanks for the many hours of sharing your talent with the world.
Seasons 5&6 are two of my favorites, with Beaver’s loss of best friend Larry Mondelo and never really replaced him, Wally, Eddie and Lumpy to me became the shows focus, Wally was clearly the leader of the “Big 3” and they’ll all live on in television history!!
@@keepitforreally4501 Same here, only I'm bringing on Peacock. And it's helping the pain I can only imagine as what his family and wife is going through. Jerry Mathers as well. We never wanted Tony Dow to die, but we had no choice. It's in God's hands, not ours. When your time comes, your time comes. It is what it is. Am I right? Yes or no?
My crush was on the times he and everyone on there are from. A time we got to wear longer dresses, students weren't rioting, hippies didn't exist, America was strong and Americans loved their country. Not like things were in the later 1960's when I discovered and had a crush on this show.
You have included one of Wally's greatest lines at 321: In arguing that he take over his parents' job to handle Beaver's problem, "Gee, Dad, you've been lecturing the Beaver for 13 years now, and he's still pretty stupid." Parents give silent agreement.
This show came on 1957 I was born 1958 I love this show still today iam 64 Wally is one good looking young man he will truly be missed we love you Tony Dow to the world Wally Cleaver😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤🌺🌺🌺🌺🌞⭐
Wally Cleaver was the kind of brother you could get advice from when you couldn't talk to your parents. The Beaver was always getting into trouble and Wally always tried to bale him out but it didn't always work. Great show taught kids values of right and wrong. Eddie Haskell was a trouble maker glad Wally told him off finally. RIP Tony Dow
@@JasonKTerry But unfortunately they still tried to force it when Wally and his friends interactions were much more interesting than the Beaver's. I wish there were more Wally episodes.
Terrific compilation, thanks! Tony Dow was so great. I cracked up when he tells Ward, "But gee, dad, you've been lecturing the Beaver for 13 years now, and he's still pretty stupid!" It's like the writers inserted a little in-joke about the whole premise of the series.
I was a film editor for a local tv station during the mid-Sixties. Watched and edited every LITB episode - the classic boyhood dilemmas and character lines were priceless!
Someday when this world fades away and we go to that big sitcom in the sky we can have Wally go to college and Beaver to high school hilarious RIP Tony Dow
Grew up watching every episode on reruns coming home after school in the early 1980s. This was timeless, wry humor, and plenty of life lessons from the brothers. Dow acted but had to learn the craft on the fly during the series,. Sometimes he can be seen in dialogue with Mathers lip-syncing Beavers lines. But Dow worked to get better with coaches and practiced his lines dutifully not to let down the production. I thought he did well with Wally and never seemed to be awkward in front of the camera. Hey Wally...... Hey Beav......
I’m really loving this! It’s a nice break from watching the DVDs every night which I love but this puts all the highlights together and I’m really enjoying them🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I remember being a kid in the 80s and after waiting 6 weeks to get cable (remember that big box?) this was one of the shows I was able to watch reruns of because of it and it quickly became my favorite show!😊 RIP Tony Dow✨

Wally was a great smart alec without being one. As far as an actor, his comedic timing is very underrated.
Wally was always my favorite character...Tony Dow is a great actor.
I had the pleasure of meeting Tony and Jerry. They were both such intelligent, personable men. And funny too.
Very down to earth.
Wally was what you wanted in a big brother
Yeah he was my favorite character also
I agree with that Wally Cleaver was my favorite on the program as well I kept waiting for him to smack Eddie Haskell and lumpy in the mouth! 😺
I wish I had a dime every time the Beaver said "Hey Wally".
And "Ah gee, Wally!"
Beaver actually said "Gee Wally" a lot more than "Hey Wally."
RIP Tony Dow!
Thank you for being my TV big brother!
Rest In Peace, Tony. Another piece of my childhood gone.
Amazing, over 50 years later and we are still laughing!
No wonder I had a crush on Wally when I was a kid - I'm now 75 and still have a crush on him
I'm only 35 but I grew up watching this show. I loved him too.
