    This is the best children sleeping arrangements I've seen in a bus so far. It's very open. Not too claustrophobic. Good job. Very nice bus too

    I watch a lot of these conversions ( waiting for the day ... ) and yours is a lovely, well thought out design. An intelligent and resolved combination of form v. function. Ideas such as separating the wet bath and toilet which allows a small vanity will add living space you will much appreciate travelling in close proximity to each other. Using a chest fridge indicates you have really researched your options as everyone knows they are so much more efficient than the archaic side opening fridges that spill out cold air in cascades each time they are opened.
    Your choice of colours and finishes are beautiful. The distressed wash on the ceiling and the white wainscoting topped with the warm stained pine work beautifully. The decision to use wood has really enriched the aesthetic of your interior and is definitely worth all the extra hard work I am sure it entailed. The details you must have sweated over (the ceiling for example) are so worth it for the fabulous end result. A lot of tongue and groove ceilings on bus conversions use pine that is quite wide. I noticed yours was much narrower and it looked so much better for it. More work no doubt but a really good design choice. Other excellent decisions were your fabrics, the non-built in comfy couch and the restrained and tasteful colour palette which combined to achieve a lovely conversion. The layout is functional and maximises liveable space. The wood stove is the cherry on top. Well done. I would love to see more of your bus as you live in it and experience the joys of all your hard work. Thank you.

      Liz Steeds WOW! What an astounding comment! Thank you SO much for your kind words. We truly appreciate how you admire all the small details of our bus. Most people can’t fathom the amount of work, and thought, that goes into a project like this, but you did an amazing job at explaining our work. Thank you!!

    If I had a better memory, I would not comment several times, but (sorry) your thermal/reflectix window coverings will be useful with extreme temperatures - cold AND hot. They will also give you shade and help keep the bus cooler when it is really hot out. Just FYI.

    Too many things I love about your build to mention them all, but the pantry is excellent, and I appreciate separating the bathing area from the toilet area. You seem to have some extra room here and there, which is nice. It looks to me that you may have room in your utility closet or under one of your beds to add solar later. Great tour and wonderful build!

      @@TheRoamingLions I think the knife issue is more of in an accident the bus may stop suddenly and the knife could come off the magnet but for normal driving even rough driving it may not. Do you have any idea of seats for other than the 2? Seat belts for kids if a family went with. Beautiful job nice presentation. The stoves also have a little plate you can attach to the side that leaves an air gap between the stove and the plate then many have a zero clearance to the added plate.

      Susan Michaelson great question! We haven’t ran any water through our pipes in fear of that issue. What that said, within the next couples days we will probably fill up our water tank because we are now in Savannah, GA. We will let you know how it all works!

      The Roaming Lion's checkout how to weatherize your RV videos they will show you how to do it. One thing they did was to make a skirt that attaches to the sides of the bus/RV when parked and this keeps the underside warmer and helps prevent freezing . You could attach it with magnets that are attached to the skirt. One person added a few grommets on the lower edge so that a metal steak with a hook could go through an keep the bottom in place. Plus you can store things under there when your stopped for a bit.
      How are planning to do laundry on the road? If you are washing by hand or have just a washer bring some plastic covered wire like that used for a dog tether that you string on poles or from tree to tree. One family has a dehumidifier near the bathroom and has built in racks and rods to hang the clothes they shut the doors or curtains enclosing the area and turn on the dehumidifier and it dries the clothes. They even had a toddler in cloth diapers.

      We don’t have cable. We watch Netflix or DVDs. We have a special adapter from Apple that allows us to plug our iPhone into an hdmi so it is displayed on the TV screens. Hope that makes sense lol.

    Nice bus! And you two are funny! I think you are trying to say Provencial. Pro VIN shul. You might have switched the i and the c. Or the label designer did. It happens. It means something close to ‘old fashioned ‘. Furniture design, wood stain, someone’s values are often referred to as “provencial”. The literal meaning is more ‘regional’ like referring to some of a certain neighborhood or region or country. But it now seems to also refer to an age group. Maybe it is a modification of the word or maybe they were referring to something that I saw as old fashioned not knowing that it was more regional than I knew. In which case I am right in the middle of one of the regions and don’t even know it. 🤪

    I know nothing about pellet stoves, so forgive the dumb question: is it usable when driving down the road? Do you have to worry about carbon monoxide when you are sleeping? This is a lovely, well thought out rv, be proud of yourselves. 🤗

    • @TheRoamingLions
      @TheRoamingLions  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Linda Johnsen We have never used it while driving because we use the heat from the bus motor. We keep carbon monoxide alarms in the bus mostly for our generators to make sure we do not have any leaks. But with a pellet stove you should never have to worry about carbon monoxide. They burn extremely efficient and circulate clean air. Thank you very much. We really appreciate it

    It's beautiful! I love what you've done and the pellet stove seems amazing! I will have to research those more! I love working with my wood burning stove, but I do not like waking up to a cold home when my fire has gone out, or when there is not wind outside to make a draft and the fire won't catch or burn hot enough! So I can see the benefit of a pellet stove for sure! Great job!
