@@barryphillips7327 I used to worry that I was having “old man hates modern music” syndrome. Until I noticed that most of my younger gaming friends were posting playlists that - aside from certain specific movie soundtrack bits - consisted of music mostly from MY era of the 70s 80s and 90s. And NOTHING newer than that! And I found that most of the SMART kids hate the new stuff as much as us old farts!

Walked into the hotel room which was a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a kitchenetten and a living room with a huge glass coffee table which seemed perfectly suited for the occasion and the pre-concert festivities began 3 hours prior to the concert. Our friend Called the front desk for a ride to the concert and we aarrived downstairs to a huge white limo which caused my husband to
Most AC/DC songs sound pretty similar, which is great because they rock, but this song was a leap out the norm for them. This has a more nostalgic feel to it which is rare for AC/DC.

Do you have ANY idea how many speeding tickets I've got listening to AC/DC & ZZ Top? Once got 2 within 19 hours. 1 in my hot rod (which I was parking cuz too costly to drive on my long daily commute) & the 2nd in my brand new right off the lot (under 4 miles on odometer & that included my test drive the weekend before) It was a very costly weekend! Lol
I flew from Australia to Germany to see AC/DC live in Dresden and I have to say, they exceeded my expectations 10 times over, it was a fantastic experience, hopefully they continue the PWRUP Tour to Australia and North America, I would love to see them again 😃
Chris Slade - pound for pound and in his prime - was probably the best all around. Simon was a close second. Many people will argue for Phil, but he really wasn’t that great of a drummer, he just fit AC/DC’s groove like a glove. That all being said, (especially at this juncture in their career) why AC/DC would want to Phil back I don’t even know - given all his past legal woes, which have not just “up and disappeared” either. The guy is/was also a major meth-head, if you couldn’t tell by looking at him. Angus calls the shots, but if it were my band and we knew realistically we only had a few years left, I would never want that guy or his baggage anywhere around me anymore.
Joseph Anthony Angel very good point about Phil, I have the same opinion about everything you described. About Chris I didn’t like him maybe because he did not look very well being left handed (poor guy it’s not his fault). And he did speed up a lot when he was playing live which took the magic from the songs. From Simon I like his face when he plays, you can see his happiness and his passion. The 80’s style! He reminds me of Steven Adler or Tommy Lee, always smiling when they play. For me as a drummer makes the difference
Joseph Anthony Angel maybe I’m mistaken. He has the hi-hat on his right which is not very usual if he’s right handed. Sorry about my English, I’m a Spanish speaker
Joseph Anthony Angel definitely! I have the DVD live from Donington. At that time I didn’t use to bother that much but like I mentioned before the songs were played faster than usual and it wasn’t my taste at all. Whatever, AC/DC it’s like Gene Simmons said a few years ago, they’re gonna be considered more than the Beatles for rock history. Which maybe I agree
i agree, I WAS FUCKING THERE and i pity millennial's as a result they ask.... "what were the 80s like" LOL..........ahhh how to begin to describe it............ TO REALLY DESCRIBE IT you know You can't.... you had to have lived through it otherwise there's not point trying to describe it fucking awesome, doesn't really begin to describe it

Their best era if you ask me. Musically this is when they were at their peak. The music industry was going through a bit of a shift, and musical tastes temporarily moved away from AC/DC, but the late 80s is their best work imho. It happened to quite a few bands I reckon. Same thing happened with Iron Maiden. Late 80s was a crap time for them as a band from a popularity standpoint, but the albums they recorded during that period are still the best stuff they've ever done. Powerslave and Somewhere in Time are incomparably excellent. Motorhead was another one. In the late 80s/early 90s Motorhead were arguably at their "uncoolest", but 1916 (from 1991) is unquestionably their best album. Same goes for KISS - they were daggy as hell in the late 80s, but Hot in the Shade from 1989 is really strong musically. Some rockin' tunes on that one, definitely the high water mark of the non-makeup era. They're just a laughable parody of themselves now, and haven't done anything good since, but that one is damn good. I could go on. But it definitely seems like the loss of popularity for some bands leads to a creative golden age. Instead of fading into history they double down on their thing and stay the course and it produces some true brilliance that goes unnoticed at the time, hence the underrated status of so much of this great music.
@@edwardg1 Agreed. ‘Fly on the Wall’ is great but very underrated because at the time of release (1985) AC/DC was “out of trend” while pop ruled the music industry and their genre didn’t match up with the mid-80s music. Same goes for Blow Up Your Video (1988)
"underrated" !!???!?!??? pls don't repeat words just for the sake of repeating... AC/DC was one of the TOP ROCK Bands ever! "underrated" where!!??! never! they were always on top for decades, every stadium was full, their records were top sales in many countries... "underrated" is something else.

I had heard this song on the radio and such, but did not truly appreciate its power until the opening of "Maximum Overdrive". It became my favorite AC/DC song and still is a few decades later.
I just watched Maximum Overdrive last night for the 1st time since the 80's and instantly had to download this song.
AC/DC is timeless!..man I miss the 70s, 80s, and early 90s those were golden years before the world went and got screwed up.
The good old day,s and REAL music, Not the CRAP they music ( dry retching even thinking about modern music ) today!!
@@logandarklighter Quite simply i TRULY HATE
@@logandarklighter Quite simply i Truly HATE all modern music, sometimes in my job i hear Adele or similar on the radio, and can not escape it I HATE LOATHE DISPISE, often after such a day i come home put on YT connect to my stereo ( big speakers, not tiny ones ) and flush out the horrible music by listening to good music. IF modern music was good i would say so. I used to transport university students most of them also modern music, one girl loved listening to 'the beatles', she really did, she was about 18yrs. Maybe i am old fart but i know what music i like and what i dislike. A passenger told once if in doubt on music play older music, he was right most people, not all but most prefer older music. Is that not what brought us to YT????

Most AC/DC songs sound pretty similar, which is great because they rock, but this song was a leap out the norm for them. This has a more nostalgic feel to it which is rare for AC/DC.

Best drummer of AC/DC’s entire career. No one hits the snare drum like Simon did. Power and passion
@@luischavanne5087 Never knew Chris was left handed! He had an awesome kit on that 1991 world tour..
This jam still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it !!
Angus's shoes 😮 can I still get a pair! Awesome

@suzanne hello, how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here.
Mid-80s AC/DC definitely is underrated.
You ain’t kidding! Fly on the wall and blow up your video a great records and always overlooked
