I’m a big fan of AC/DC. My family stayed at the same migrant hostel in Villawood, and moved to the same street in Burwood as the Young family. I didn’t know them personally as I was a baby when they blew up but there was a lot of pride at local boys doing good. They might have their roots in Scotland, grew up in Australia, but they belong to the world.

AC DC has one of the most unique and simple sounds where you know acdc came on without having to hear a word, every song just has that acdc essence
As a muso who grew up learning AC/DC songs I've spent a LOT of time thinking about the "AC/DC" sound. Honestly, I think its just Malcolms guitar sound. Its all about those riffs. Angus is instantly recognizable, but it was Malcolms rock solid riffs that gave AC/DC its unique sound. You can learn most of it easy, but Malcolm *invented* it, and its one thing to learn it, and its another thing to carry it with swagger. Nothing quite sounded like Malcolm, and nothing ever will again. He was AC/DCs secret weapon.
RIP Malcolm.

"I Feel Safe in NYC" has lots of Angus leg kicks due to a DRIVING AC/DC style beat. I thought drummer Rudd was going to expire from the effort he put out. Loved it all!
