First you collection is AMAZING! Secondly thank you so much for this video. I originally made a impulsive decision and bought one on Amazon, then I saw your video immediately after. Luckily I had enough time to cancel so you just saved me $200
Thanks for watching. You won't regret holding off the purchase because even now at second hand market its being sold at less than half the price. IMO one of the worst digivices to date
7:24 - 7:28 lol, so true. Great review! Totally unbiased. For real, I don't understand why they removed the connection prongs and the pedometer. Those two things made digivices special, as you could encounter enemy digimon while walking. They should have kept them and made a colored screen instead of black and white screen. For $100 USD, I personally don't think it's worth it.

so question how do you fix the 2020 digivice because I come home and mess around with it a little and put the back together and the red wire would twist and when I checked it ripped off so do I need a new cable for it to connect or is it broken?
While I never bought any digivice toy or the like I fully agree with this review.
$100 is too much for something that should cost like $20.
Good review! I agree with most of your complaints about the new digivice. I just don't want rechargable devices. I have digivices,tamas, and other devices that are 20+ years old and they work great when you pop in new batteries. I wonder if they put rechargable batteries in vpets, how long until that battery needs to be replaced? How easy will it be to replace? How much would it cost?
With that in mind, I'd personally like to stick to the batteries you can simply pop in and out.

Point taken on the rechargable batteries. But i think bandai should have at least included some batteries free (like all their other devices) especially at that price point.

Dude good review! Completely agree with you, got it because I enjoy Digimon and knew what it was going into it. Could’ve been the Ver. Complete style gameplay but it wasn’t. Hopefully with the next version they do it follows off of the Vital Bracelet.

Agreed the gameplay is really nothing more than a mini-game. The d3 is a much better digivice overall.
Please man tell me where you get all your digimon products but also please do a whole video of digimon

Excellent work for explaining about that Digivice 2020 and thank goodness i didn't buy it from the start.
Since most of my friends here in HK also dislike it due to the poor making of that digivice and definitely not worth for 700hkd/800hkd(100+ usd). So thats why I see people who bought it now selling it from 350hkd to 500hkd😅
The bandai should I made that digivice as a CSA rather than a virtual pet device in my opinion.
And in the end I just bought myself the Digivice Ver. Complete which is more fun that tells the story from DA,DA02, Tri and Kizuna👍
Thank you for your support. You are right, a good evaluation of a device can be seen by its resale price. And as a testament to its poor quality can be seen at how low it's selling second hand. Actually converting it to a csa would have been a great idea, ideally if they could have brought down the price as well. All in all, it's not worth the premium price point. Having said that the ver complete is way better, and its the same price. Prooves that Bandai can make quality if they wanted to. 👍

Agreed, at that price point for a black and white screen today is just plain lazy. Its been over 20 years and there has been little innovation.
I was ready to spend $104 on Amazon for this today until you mentioned the triple A batteries. That feels like a criminal design choice to me 😭
I bought one of these a while ago and while I don't really regret it, it's honestly pretty hard to disagree with anything you said. It is pretty expensive (although not as much as the Digivice ver. Complete, but that one is much better imo) and the lack of stuff to do is jarring. I think I've been buying so many vpets recently that it I didn't even mind the screen, but I think those screens are basically unacceptable even for the recent vpets, especially after the Vital Bracelet. But I think what made me barely play with this was the sound. As you said, this thing is LOUD, to a point where it truly affects my enjoyment of the thing (meanwhile, the ver. complete is too quiet lol, especially because that one you're meant to walk around with, but I never hear it when it find battles).
Just a quick correction though, this device was not released along with the movie you mentioned (Last Evolution), but with the 2020 reboot of the anime, named just "Digimon:", this is the Digivice they use in the show. There is one that is meant to be from that movie, but it looks like a golden regular Digivice and has some cracks, but it's basically the same screen and if I'm not mistaken, it's barely even a game. Other than that, great video! Your collection looks amazing, too, I really liked how you keep everything organized and stuff.
Thank you! I agree with you! However, I did buy it, before I watched your video, and I am disappointed. With how much they cost, it should have been great! Revolutionary, even. But, it's cheap. They should be ashamed. Do better Bandai, for how much you made this cost. I already beat the whole thing as well, in two days. A loooot of grinding though. I would have like to control when and how long the light stayed lite too. Maybe vibrate as well. The sound is too loud as you said, wish I could turn it down, not off. Just had a lot of potential thrown out the window.
Please do a complete video of your devices and a history of them.
More than money, those devices have a big story.

Doubt you will reply but i agree they should have colour like the xros loader and since you cant do much else I'm still planning on buying it just to have but I'd rather have other digivices

Saya sokong. Masalah cuma harga mahal yg tak sepadan dengan quality. Kalau bukan fans memang tak berbaloi. Tapi yang sedih disebabkan kita fans, macam bandai mempermainkan kita utk untung besar 🤣

I wish that Bandai would remake the first Digimon Digivices, the ones that came in a bunch of Different Colors the same colors that they were in the Original Show when the Digimon Evolved. And an in Color back lit Screen would be they Cherry 🍒 on top.
I think the original vpets have been remade but they call it vpet20th and is basically a mashup of all versions. If only they had back lit i can finally play it to sleep.
@@wonderboycollectibles6838 I unfortunately missed out on the V-Pet 20th version, I had to spend 5 months in the Hospital back in 2019 so I missed out on a lot of stuff in the time 🥺😢😭.
Sorry to hear that hope all is well. I got mine recently and they are still available at my local stores for about USD25. They even have it in glow in the dark 😍
