I was ready to spend $104 on Amazon for this today until you mentioned the triple A batteries. That feels like a criminal design choice to me 😭

Great vid

No one wants those bulky old style display bases, even if they light up. You can’t display many figures if you have those bulky ones, which take up way too much room. The smaller the display stand the better. And no one cares about the box. If you keep it in the shipper then the box stays in mint condition.

Thank you! I agree with you! However, I did buy it, before I watched your video, and I am disappointed. With how much they cost, it should have been great! Revolutionary, even. But, it's cheap. They should be ashamed. Do better Bandai, for how much you made this cost. I already beat the whole thing as well, in two days. A loooot of grinding though. I would have like to control when and how long the light stayed lite too. Maybe vibrate as well. The sound is too loud as you said, wish I could turn it down, not off. Just had a lot of potential thrown out the window.

so question how do you fix the 2020 digivice because I come home and mess around with it a little and put the back together and the red wire would twist and when I checked it ripped off so do I need a new cable for it to connect or is it broken?

After a lot of surveying..i have actually got this device which is MISB for just about only $40..

I bought one of these a while ago and while I don't really regret it, it's honestly pretty hard to disagree with anything you said. It is pretty expensive (although not as much as the Digivice ver. Complete, but that one is much better imo) and the lack of stuff to do is jarring. I think I've been buying so many vpets recently that it I didn't even mind the screen, but I think those screens are basically unacceptable even for the recent vpets, especially after the Vital Bracelet. But I think what made me barely play with this was the sound. As you said, this thing is LOUD, to a point where it truly affects my enjoyment of the thing (meanwhile, the ver. complete is too quiet lol, especially because that one you're meant to walk around with, but I never hear it when it find battles). Just a quick correction though, this device was not released along with the movie you mentioned (Last Evolution), but with the 2020 reboot of the anime, named just "Digimon:", this is the Digivice they use in the show. There is one that is meant to be from that movie, but it looks like a golden regular Digivice and has some cracks, but it's basically the same screen and if I'm not mistaken, it's barely even a game. Other than that, great video! Your collection looks amazing, too, I really liked how you keep everything organized and stuff.

I loved your honest review! I passed on this figure when it was released. I wasn't going to pay $330 USD for that. But, I just ordered this off of Amazon. It was $209 and I had free shipping and a $65 gift card. So, this only cost me $160 USD. At that price, I decided to go for it.

I wish that Bandai would remake the first Digimon Digivices, the ones that came in a bunch of Different Colors the same colors that they were in the Original Show when the Digimon Evolved. And an in Color back lit Screen would be they Cherry 🍒 on top.

Please do a complete video of your devices and a history of them. More than money, those devices have a big story.

Just so u know the Chest piece that u said doesn't move actually does. It goes forward and back. Yamagouchi seems to have alot of QC issues.

7:24 - 7:28 lol, so true. Great review! Totally unbiased. For real, I don't understand why they removed the connection prongs and the pedometer. Those two things made digivices special, as you could encounter enemy digimon while walking. They should have kept them and made a colored screen instead of black and white screen. For $100 USD, I personally don't think it's worth it.

Dude good review! Completely agree with you, got it because I enjoy Digimon and knew what it was going into it. Could’ve been the Ver. Complete style gameplay but it wasn’t. Hopefully with the next version they do it follows off of the Vital Bracelet.

They need to do what they did with the tomagatchi on/meets and give us full 16 bit color screens

Excellent work for explaining about that Digivice 2020 and thank goodness i didn't buy it from the start. Since most of my friends here in HK also dislike it due to the poor making of that digivice and definitely not worth for 700hkd/800hkd(100+ usd). So thats why I see people who bought it now selling it from 350hkd to 500hkd😅 The bandai should I made that digivice as a CSA rather than a virtual pet device in my opinion. And in the end I just bought myself the Digivice Ver. Complete which is more fun that tells the story from DA,DA02, Tri and Kizuna👍
