Hopefully someday, Bandai can add color and better pixels to the next gen digivice. It’s been 20 years since I’ve last own one. Not much have changed...
It’s 2020...but the functionality is pretty low..just solo leveling, no more raising it like a pet(poop cleaning, feeding and etc), don’t know whether can pvp, not usb rechargeable and the UI is very basic for it’s price. Overall, those who buy it prolly meant as collectible or nostalgic purposes. Rather play a game boy or the older version like version 8(the one you need to shake when battling) But..very beautifully made device.
I think bandai should come up with a Game boy alternative where you can connect devices and trade stuff or battle other Digimon, just like with Pokemon back then
The original digivice toy worked the same way, you're thinking of the old virtual pets instead. But still you're right, this thing doesn't even have pvp!
A fascinating piece of tech, I must admit it. And those battles are pretty smooth and fun to watch and play. It's unfortunate I currently don't know when (or if) I'll ever get my hands on one. Anyway, aside from that, there is something I'd be interested in knowing. As a 3D designer, I'm currently working on a 3D replica of this new Digivice, for future 3D printing. However, there is something I still lack in order to get a 1:1 scale replica. Its dimensions. Do you happen to know them?
Height (top-bottom) approx. 7.5 cm Width (left-right) approx. 7.5 cm Depth approx. 3.6 cm Diameter of light blue circle approx. 6.2 cm Diameter of blue circle approx. 4.5 cm Diameter of black circle approx. 3.0 cm Screen approx. 2.0 cm x 2.0 cm
@@jptoyscandies6596 Just 7.5 x 7.5 x 3.6? It's quite a small device, and it sure looked much bigger in your video. Anyway, thank you for providing the Digivice dimensions. I really appreciated your help.
I've pre-ordered this and am pretty disappointed already. Bulky with three batteries, no belt clip, no connectivity to other devices and it seems like it's just for battling. This isn't a tamagotchi anymore. The lights are cool though, I guess.. Oh, and what I got from another video: You can only turn the loud sound on or completely off. I think I'm gonna resell it when it's finally here.
I like the fact that it's big enough to use AAA's instead those flat cell batteries, but the shape looks kinda generic and boring, the controls don't seem very intuitive (then again that's true of pretty much all virtual pets), and the fact that you can only choose between Agumon and Gabumon just feels like more of Bandai trying to shove these two down people's throats.
You probably already saw it, but they are in the new video. There seem to be no special requirements to encounter them. They simply popped up randomly with an emergency call effect like the boss battles after a battle with an enemy.
@@jptoyscandies6596 only those three too, huh? What weird choices. No ogremon or leomon. For Pegasusmon, did he become available to Patamon at the same time when angemon did?

It isn't a pedometer based game like the old Digivices so it doen't count steps. It also can't be connected to other devices as it is a stand-alone game.
@@jptoyscandies6596 Interesting, kinda disappointing. So unlike Digimon. You aren't raising them like a pet, you aren't walking with them as a partner, you can't compete or share with others... How do you feel about it overall?
You’re right. It is unlike Digimon. It is easier to play as it doesn’t require shaking it or walking with it to make progress in the game unlike the pedometer based Digivices. These Digivices including the old ones aren’t about actually raising the Digimons so the re is less meaning to battling others with them compared to the Digimon toys you raise them by feeding, training etc. It would make sense to have a feature to battle with another Digivice, if it also had a feature to raise them. It is more of a toy to enjoy the story of gathering the partner Digimons, unlocking digivolutions, beating the bosses, and the illumination effects, alone. There is even no penalty when losing against the enemies. Overall, it lacks in game element. It would have been better if it had a color display, a rechargeable battery with USB, and maybe a belt clip.

Rechargeable batteries can still age and become useless with time. I prefer removable non-rechargeable removable batteries than rechargeable non-removable batteries.

$98 bruh... my wallet doesnt have enough nostalgia
They’ve shot up in price now. About £170 + shipping 😭
Looks fun! Thanks for only sharing the beginning fights, no regret of getting two of it, definitely gonna enjoy it!
That's great! We tried not to spoil your fun and discovery.

Just like the world
Battery tho... Should've made it into rechargable.. it's 2020 😒

It doesnt have the connector to fight 🙁
I love it and I hope the new Digivice will be in English Edition too.
Doubted.

Why add LED to its body?
