- Hi guys welcome back to the channel! Today I will be going over my 4 different exhaust setups that I have had over the life of the car. It has been requested multiple times and I hope that this answers anyone's questions about what exhaust mods to do or which setup is better. It is all up to you guys and girls. The LFX 3.6 is a very hard v6 to get to sound good....you have achieved PERFECTION! I have spent the last five-plus years trying to get my 3.6 L FX motor to sounds good I applied so many different set of ups with mufflers and resonators H pipes X pipes you name it, you definitely found the formula my friend congratulations.

@@mistermanage1119 yeah just the fact that the manifolds are cast into the cylinder heads makes it very hard to get a good tone. You got it 👍

Been looking for set ups with no cats for a long time this is my fav out of all, thanks man I finally now what need to buy in order to make my v6 sound good. Set up 4 its the best by far.

I just purchased a couple of month ago a 2013 Camaro, I'm so glad I came across your video. because i'm so undecided on which Muffler to get to make her purr a little louder.

I have the same setup as mister manage final setup except I have electric cutouts and they rattle so I’m goin to copy his exact set up lol
That takeoff was actually sweet, almost thought i was hearing a V10!
Watched it full through I really like the new setup going catless or high flow cats in your case just adds so much rasp I’m trying to find a different sound with my camaro too and it’s all baby steps keep it up 1500 in the near future!!!
After adding the resonated xpipe, there is no more rasp. It's perfect man! Thanks for the love and support.

what sizes did you got for? for example like 2.25 or 2.5?? also did anything lead up to setup for cause a check engine light or any misfires i should expect

Did you have to tune your car for the 4th setup or can you jusy weld and play?
I'm all stock v6 cat delete done factory mufflers sound like bumblebees I just want a deep sound
did you get check engine light?

I just did a muffler delete on my v6 Camaro 2011. It was loud AF and exactly what I wanted but the highway drone at 65-75 was killing me. I now added the magnaflow resonated xpipe and it’s too soft and not enough aggressive growl. Seems like the same steps you took. Now I guess it’s time for the down pipes.
One question for you? If I remove the resonators will that help bring back a little of that rasp and growl? Before I do the down pipes?
yeah it really does bring out the aggression in the sound i have a 2013 and i first got a muffler and resonator delete and it is loud afff with the aggressive growl
I have a simple muffler delete on mine and love but I think I want some borla attak mufflers now
Get them man they’re worth it especially combining it with the magnaflow resonated x pipe. The combo isn’t obnoxiously loud when you’re at idle, but when you punch that gas it’s a different story. I have both and thinking of adding the down pipes that Cory has to see how well they all flow together

I just got my x pipe installed today and I love it, I’ve had my camaro for 2 years and always just had a muffler delete and been happy but I highly recommend as a cheap mod until you break the bank on a borla exhaust.
Sounds fckn AMAZING (4th) that's literally my exact setup but I currently have my resonators on, it's way to quiet with the resonated xpipe. Hearing this I'm confident in me loving the sound of deleting the resonators but I'm terrified of the drone. I see online that the drone is really bad at low speeds but once you hit freeway/highway speeds (55-80) it goes away. Is this true? I'm perfectly fine with drone and considering I was able to handle the drone before the xpipe install I feel like I can handle the res delete, I'm just not sure. How much louder is this in the cabin compared to just the muffler delete without the res xpipe? Any response will be helpful ty. Hope to see you posting again soon bro!
I can't answer that question because I never had just a muffler delete and regular xpipe. I took out my resonators when I took out my H-pipe to put in my xpipe. In other words, I never has a resonated xpipe with my resonators still on. It's all subjective and up to your liking. I will say that even with my current setup, you will have drone. It is tolerable to me but what is tolerable to me may not be to others and vise versa.
I was told you couldnt change the headers on the lfx engine?
I'm just running mrt v1 and intake and it sounds good, but if I could run headers and a bigger throttle.body I want to do that
You can't because they don't come with headers. They are down pipes. The company is called American racing headers.
2011 camar0 3.6 no cats stock mufflers doing a muffler delete is all you've done? I wouldn't mind doing this set up I have my resonators and xpipe just no cats
If you watch the video in full, you will know what I have done to my car. It is not just a muffler delete.

Where can I get that exhaust for my 2011 camaro.and the name of it? How much was it? Sounds great
There is no full specific exhaust, they are separate pieces. As explained in the video, links are in the description. And with a 2011, right off the bat, you can't run option 3 or 4 because you have headers not downpipes. Also because you have headers, your exhaust will sound different from all of these options.
What state you from? Here in Mass. I don't think will pass emissions if I do a muffler delete.

What do i do to make my camaro 2012 rs v6 to make some pops from behind its a software?
I have some exhaust videos other than this one where I get some pops. I believe a muffler and resonator delete give a lot of pops.
Setup 4 does sound badass! I think I’m gonna leave my resonator and H pipe on tho and get the ARH downpipes for my V6…hopefully theres no rasp…I got a CAI waiting to be installed and the Mace cams on the way as well lol my MRT 2.0 exhaust kinda sounds like ur setup from inside the cabin when u step on it yours is just a lil bit fuller probly because of the other mods…love the content tho man! U give us lfx owners inspiration!

In my personal experience the H pipe sounds the worst on the LFX.
@@kskip4242 depends on the setup…my car has a decent growl rn…just about every X pipe I’ve heard on the v6 Camaro sounds like high pitched rice lol and I’d rather have torque over hp
@@lordsmorgasbord yeah but an H pipe makes it sound like a mid-range trumpet e trombone sound lol. That's why you use a resonated x pipe chief.
@@kskip4242 it’s all subjective louder isn’t always better lol the resonated x pipe is for people who probly have muffler deletes n resonator deletes which I don’t lol the parts under the car do actually serve a purpose.

That's up to you and why I made this video. I can't say what will sound good because its subjective.
So for option 4 they just straight piped the muffler and kept the same tips? ( just wondering since I’m gonna get this done and I need to tell the mechanic how to do it )
They didn't touch the mufflers or tips. The mufflers were deleted a long time ago. Nothing is actually "straight". I just say that to let you know there is nothing else but pipe. In the 4th option, the muffler delete was already present and the resonated xpipe was added.

I don't know what to tell your mechanic to make him understand. Show him the video or just tell him what is in the setup. That's all they need to know.
If you used the x pipe with the resonators and a muffler delete would it take out some of the rasp that you herd with the total flow x pipe with the muffler delete?
I can't say for sure but I would assume so.

Bro I have a 2011 Ls v6 camaro and i dont find any headers like one u said for mine only see 2012+ ArH . I have 2011 camaro ls . Om confused how i get a downpipe so i can do 4 set up like u.please help
You have a 2011, you can't do that setup. You have headers and I do not. You actually have better options than me. If you watch some of the other videos on my channel, I explain the difference between my car and yours.

@@chrisqzone I don't know your options because I don't have your type of engine so I would not be able to guide you in anything. You can easily look up the forums and there are plenty of answers there.
Is set up 4 louder than just a muffler delete and resonator delete?
At idle they may be the same but on the road, I would say the muffler delete is louder but sounds worse. There is a lot of high pitch rasp. Where as setup 4 is loud and no rasp.

The 4th is the best in my opinion. As far as gaining attention from cops, I'm not into that as that's not very smart. happy hunting.

@@arlocaduco It hadn't been started in a while and its running E85. Plus the cams were just rephased so it was just getting out the old fuel and what not. The car was just going through the motions. Its normal.

How much was the total of all?
It depends on which setup. If you go setup 4 for example, you would not have to spend money on things in setup 2. I have all the separate videos on the channel with links to the parts and I go over price.
So basically if i want to make my v6 sounds like yours how much do I spend and what are the things i have to get?

trade it in for a v8 when your able to you won’t regret it. V6 exhaust is too raspy for a camaro, getting the ss is gonna make it roar like thunder which is prob what your looking for
I'll probably never buy a V8. I have spent enough modding this thing and it is the same platform, just a different engine. And the exhaust note I have now is exactly what I was lookin for although some chop would be good.
