Once it started losing coolant. They probably just added water and it froze and busted the block. Glad to see you back at it. Sometimes we get into projects that just suck up the money. Hopefully you can recoup some on the parts car
Hi James, we don't have snow or freezing troubles in the top half of Australia mate, it definitely was overheated. I am hopeful to get a few things sold off the donor car for sure.
Nice job fixing it up, sad part is a cheap Vitara becomes a "normal" price one (or a bit higher) and you're left with a heap of stuff Kizari?? that's probably not much good for anything.
I guess the Vitara was cheap for a reason, but well done to you, Jim, on swapping out the engine and making it into a great car for the Boss....I'm sure she's happy. Now, as for the Kizashi...do I see a custom build project in the wings????
w have the j2.3 here in canada, but only in a little car called suzuki "aerio" looks to be the same block as most of the j series suzuki engines are , we use these to swap into the 1st gen sidekick ..aka vitara ....some of the names are diferent depending where u are and where the japanese exported them to ...great video i also seen that u have the kashkie there in aus...they are rare over here ....Cheers !
Just about ready for the turbo setup now mate
Ahh used cars, you gotta love em' 😉 Great work getting it back up and running, better than sending it to the scrapper.
Yeah I had to save it.
Saved at least one of them anyway 🤣
