- I love this game. yes, it's short, yes, it's too easy, yes, it has the lastability and replay value of a 1970's Atari video game but it's original and super fun to play.
I love how the cart apparently passes multiple ravines and one town unhindered just to fall into the canyon in the end.
Yes! The game is so movie accurate! LOL
My ratings of Back To The Future videogames:
1. Telltale's Back To The Future: The Game
(10/10)
It simply can be a perfect continuation after 3, and is a worthy movie-game like as well. It's what movie videogames should have been.
Its in the same quality of Ghostbusters: The Video Game (2009), which is great!
2. Super Back To The Future II (SNES)
(8/10)
Overall it's a really fun platforming game! Not what kind of I expected for a movie videogame, but it's really a great game, imo. The soundtrack is also pretty banging lol, especially the boss battle theme.
The only thing I have problem in the game is how the camera works, it kinda distracts me, and as how the game got slowdown problems which is REALLY slow for some seconds, but overall, great and fun game!
3. Back To The Future Part III (Amiga)
7/10
I guess you can say it's... fun! while personally to me it's not great as the previous games I mention, it's still fun and better to play than most BTTF game that existed.
4. Back To The Future Part III (Genesis)
5/10
Just a horrible port of the Amiga version of the same game, it skipped a lot of things. Considering Genesis is more popular and owned by lots of players than Amiga back in the day, why can't the Sega Genesis version be like, a definitive version of it anyway?
It's fun to play but it just feels so incomplete.

Boring and a hard skateboarding game... Not much to say.
6. Back To The Future Part II & III (NES)

The intro was good, until it comes in terms of gameplay. Knowing LJN is the one who made it... well, yeah.
7. Back To The Future (NES)

just... no.
Horrible and way fast sped up music, insane gameplay, lots of things that aren't even related to the movie which is so absurd, and IT IS VERY HORRIBLE, not recommend to play
Aaaand it's also made by LJN As well.
Just dont play any videogame based movies that was made by LJN, trust me.
This looks more fun and colorful compared to the awful genesis version.
It has more "content" in the sense that level 1 is longer and it is indeed more colorful but the Genesis version is more challenging.
A very good game. A little short, though.
The first part is quite challenging. So even though it seems to take a short while to finish, it actually needs a good amount of practice to get it right. The rest is trivial though so overall I agree it's way too short.
@@themanaiacalgamer8451: Amiga version of 'Ghost Riders In The Sky' is better than Sega Genesis version. Don't get me wrong, Sega Genesis version is great, but *This* takes the cake! And ate it too!!

That was a very nice ending... but then the whole thing no longer made sense. ;)
LOL! This is the only version of the game where Michael J. Fox's likeness is hidden. In the Genesis and Sega Master System versions, he isn't wearing a bandana in the first cut-scene, and the bowler hat isn't covering his features in the intro for the pie fight.
Not sure what the deal was, maybe Probe Software's legal team forgot to get clearance for the Amiga version when they struck the deal to make the game.
I never noticed this and I have played those versions too and made videos for them as well. Very interesting. I guess, as you say, it was some legal issue.

Anybody remember that scene in Back To The Future Part III where Doc got all liquored up and shot at the Calvery and the Indians at the same time with his colt peacemaker while trying to save Clara resulting in half the population of hill valley phasing out of existance?
Such were movie games in the 80s. They had their own plot and didn't care much about the actual movie.
I used to have this for the Amiga - I could never work out how to pick up the speed logs - tried everything with the joystick but nothing seemed to work
You have to be positioned at the right spot (like in the video) push down and then quickly up.
@@themanaiacalgamer8451 Actually, if you just hold down and keep it held down you will be fine. My Dad figured it out back in the early 90's

@@newsbender Actually that part is movie accurate because Marty knocks down Bufford with a plate after deciding not to use the gun. Had he used the gun he would have died as revealed by the photograph he brought from 1955.

Yes, basically difficulty goes down with each level. I did have a few issues with level 2 but the hardest is the first one.
It is too easy???!!!!! I couldn't even complete the first part!!!
The Amiga version is easier then the others. The first part is the only one that provides some real challenge. The rest is much easier. Maybe the shooting gallery can also be tricky but the last two parts are quite straightforward. As for the first part you just need to memorize where the obstacles are and avoid them.
I've only seen the Genesis version, but this looks way better than it. Even the C64 version looks better.
I have a playthrough of that version too.
