  • 10 gallon The Hessaire Mobile Evaporative Air Cooler
The Hessaire 2,200 CFM Evaporative Cooler is compact in size, pleasing in aesthetics, and the performance exceeds coolers of a much larger size. This performance is achieved through expanding air-intake areas to the hi-density XeL50 rigid media. These coolers have 3 media panels instead of a single panel found on most mobile coolers. 3 panels allow more air-intake area and reduce pre-rotation of the air to the prop, which translates into lower static pressure and more efficient air delivery to the prop. The hi-density XeL50 media provides 80% more evaporation surface compared to regular density media. This means higher evaporation efficiency and cooler temperatures. Patented axial prop is energy efficient and throws cool air farther. Features an oscillating design for maximum cooling. Molded with a polypropylene resin, creating a strong, yet lightweight design. Prop is designed to deliver a hi-velocity of air to you quietly. 1 year warranty

I love seeing the Christmas Tree in the back ground I thought this was the inside of my garage (lovely). Thanks for the demo because the other day we thought some had died when we turned on our unit the was some gunk in the bottom of my unit.

You’re supposed to spray the removable panel & pads with water & use a soft bristle brush to remove build up. You can also use vinegar to clean out the cooler.

      That's a good idea!

@@AngelicaTjAdventures It also helps to clean it before you put it away for the winter, but of course I never do that. Ha. We have extremely hard water & the method above works great! Your video was also very helpful. Thx! 😊

Turn on pump. Turn off fan. Pour in 1 gallon of vinegar. Let pump circulate vinegar until pads are golden tan again. Turn off pump. Pull drain plug on bottom. Let mineralized vinegar water drain out. Let fill hose chase out remnants with fresh water. Replace plug. Store unit away or fill and run.

@0:55 - just tie/hang a $2 fibreglass furnace filter (still gives good airflow) to the back and you won't see that buildup on your cooler pad

I got mine wet and used a toothbrush. A little time consuming but the filter will last if you take care of it. Getting it wet didn't matter.

I was meaning to update this. I just cleaned my filter again. I decided to lay it down on the ground and poor warm water over it until completely clean. So much easier. Ditch the toothbrush idea

Mine has hair on it from the dogs shed. I want to keep it clean on a regular basis. Can I hose it off without taking it apart. Take the hose and spray from top to bottom at an angle. It’s not exposed to a large amount of dust

Currently in July 2023 the replacement media pad for this MC18M model costs about $26 on Amazon.

I wouldn't unscrew the nails that hold the pad in place unless I want to replace it. I would gently hose the removed unit (back and pad) from the INSIDE OUT till it cleans. Then let it air dry. completely. I hang a cheap prefiltered material on the back of my cooler to save money on Evaporative Cooler Pad replacement.

I appreciate the video, but the music. It isn’t necessary. Not all like a particular choice. Why can’t videos be voice only without the background music?

a little constructive criticism to make a 16 min video into a 5 min video...
verbalize only facts, don't include what doesn't work, speed up screw removal or multiple like items by only showing the first being removed. Maybe a little editing out of the dead portions.

Here's a better idea. DON'T BUY ONE. I live in Sun City Arizona. And this thing is useless for the garage,. It's only good for already cooled down areas. What's the point in buying something to cool if it only works when it's in an already cool place? Just blows hot air on ya'. My $25.00 fan did the same thing. This is nothing more than a $200.00 fan. And no where to insert ice blocks if you wanted. Completely useless. Waste of money. Don't buy.
