    I made my swamp cooler 12 volt. Uses 1/4 of the electricity it used when it was 120 volt.

    Hey great content! Just one question. Why high humedity affects evaporative cooling? this affect both direct and indirect? Thanks a lot!

    • @MEPAcademy
      @MEPAcademy ปีที่แล้ว +8

      When the humidity is high outside it is much more difficult to evaporate water that is required for the evaporative cooling process. That's why evaporative coolers work best in warm, dry climates, as the water dripping over the pads can more easily be evaporated.

    Is it ok to install 2 bathroom fan in the ceiling instead of the up dux vents?

    • @MEPAcademy
      @MEPAcademy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The up Dux Vents have adjustable barometric dampers that are not available on your bathroom fans. This will allow you to make adjustments in each room. The Up Dux don't require electrical connections, while your bathroom fans will require power.

    Indirect evaporative cooling limit of product air temperature is wet bulb. Dew-point indirect regenerative air cooling breaks this barrier and cools approaching dew-point, not wet-bulb temperature. Would MEP Academy report on it, including use case of data center cooling?

    I live in Kolkata, India. Most of time of the year here humidity level is more than 80%. Sometimes it reaches up to 97%. Imagine a weather with 95% humidity with 35 degree Celsius temperature.

    • @MEPAcademy
      @MEPAcademy 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      In humid areas evaporative coolers are less effective because of the high humidity levels as they rely on the principle of evaporative cooling, which works best when the air is dry. In high humidity conditions, the air is already saturated with moisture, reducing the rate of evaporation and, consequently, the cooling effect. This results in minimal temperature reduction and can even make the indoor environment feel more uncomfortable by adding additional moisture to the air. Therefore, in humid climates, traditional air conditioning systems, which dehumidify the air as they cool it, are typically a more effective solution for maintaining comfortable indoor temperatures.

    If there is heavy rain, will water or splashes of water enter the room with the air?

    • @MEPAcademy
      @MEPAcademy 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is a Media Pad on the intake of the Evaporative Cooler. We can't confirm whether or not that rain would enter under extreme weather. This is a question for the manufacturer.

    I have a problem maybe someone can help give me an answer.We just installed a new swamp cooler on the roof because the old one was leaking water, so we thought... It's dripping from the same spot on the ceiling as before We turn the water on hit the switch and it is still dripping from the same location there is no water pipes running in this room🤔

    • @MEPAcademy
      @MEPAcademy 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Did you check if the drain pipe is clear and water drains freely?
