Natural Law - our inherent rights given by the Creator - are evident and if written by mankind, redundant. The main point of Natural Law is ’No person can give away authority to any other person because every single person is completely responsible for their own direct actions’. It doesn’t matter if 5 million people sign a piece of paper as fancy and official as they want no one has the authority to endow authority to another. It’s like saying, “I’m giving away my karma.” Somebody who hires somebody to commit murder is still guilty of murder. So if we fool ourselves into believing any human can be responsible for our personal freedoms, actions, decisions, then we have given away all our power while still fully responsible for all outcome. And of course, a Council is practical for small disputes and guidance with the wisdom of past lessons learned.
All this to say if this was taught in schools and homes by all humankind, the freedom and the responsibility given to each individual would be an incredible step forward in enriching all lives, human and otherwise. We could spend our energy on solving the problems of the helpless and troublemakers and such without losing our freedoms, or paying income tax, etc., yet pursuing happiness, personal goals and more.
I state this solely for the purpose of educating the populace of how the world actually works and anything outside this will always exact a price.

But like any other profession, there are those who will take advantage. I even understand the questioning they do. Most criminals are not the sharpest people. Once the legitimate purpose of the stop is over, they should just send you on your way. I would rather that someone who is guilty get away rather than an innocent person go to jail. I allowed cops in my vehicle before. I called their bluff and they let me go immediately. They didn't really want to search my vehicle, they wanted me to say something incriminating. I didn't act suspicious enough to warrant a follow through inspection.

Marker lights are not optional on that type of commercial vehicle, they must work. In some states, even self installed optional marker lights must work if they have been installed.

I got pulled over in Idaho on Route 90 by state patrol officer who told me that I had a light out but it seemed that when I got out of my van the light seem to be working so but it was one hell of a blizzard and I just couldn't even believe he stopped me tell me to get the light fixed and it was on. No ticket just felt a little harassed because I was driving a vehicle and I was the only one on the road and he said nobody else is driving tonight I said well maybe they didn't drive in Maine and New York like I did in the winter time
Same exact thing happened to me in Nebraska. I was on my way to a funeral in Iowa in a rental car. Brought the dog, cuffed me while they tore the car apart and damaged my suit. Fuck Nebraska.

It's perfectly legal for an officer to pull someone over for a minor infraction so they have the opportunity to find a bigger charge. I just think the fact it is legal is bullshit because it leaves the door open to civil rights violations and racial profiling.

I was on my way to buy a tractor, the guy would only accept cash so after getting $13,000 from my bank which was actually a hassle, I went to buy it. I get pulled over, tell the police I am going to buy a tractor, i have an empty trailer behind my truck and the cops took my cash! I got the guy on the phone that had the tractor, cop wouldn't speak to him and I had the ad from Craigslist, he didn't care. It cost me 3 days of work and a lawyer to get my money back. They tried to only return part of it.

When the van came to a stop, what if they stopped on a spot where some previous motorist dumped something on the ground that contains something that the dog will alert over?
So now these people are parked on top of a spot, that causes the dog to alert, which then causes the van to get searched, and when the officer sees the stuff on the ground that alerted the dog, who do you think is going to get blamed for that substance being there?
Who is going to go to jail? The person who put the stuff on the ground, or these poor people who stopped there because they were pulled over for the crime of having a marker light out on their vehicle?

Some dogs are trained to sniff out large amounts of currency. Customs & Border Protection uses them at international airports to catch people who have over a certain amount on them and did not declare it. It's *possible* their dog was trained on that as well, considering drug traffickers are likely to have a lot of cash on them even if they may not have the drugs at that time.

It’s actually called a pretext stop and it is unconstitutional. The female officer admitted it by saying all they were doing is looking for drugs. It doesn’t satisfy the reasonable suspicion requirement if you stop someone for a traffic violation only to investigate something else. Now if they got up there after the traffic stop and could articulate reasonable suspicion regarding drug activity it would be valid (smell, seeing drugs, statements by occupants, etc).

John Hyland That is not true. From Boise North it is beautiful green mountains. It’s a red state and as for Mormons you wouldn’t know they exist unless you asked them. Boise is called the city of trees. It use to be the little big town. A lot of people have moved their and it’s over developed. Lots of Californians move their because it’s primarily white. The politics is far right. The back country is beautiful. The southern part is high desert. It’s a right to work state and the wages are low. Great fishing, boating, hiking, camping, hunting! Skiing and other out door sports. It is also row crop in the southern part of the state with winter wheat in the panhandle area. If you want to see the beautiful part of Idaho go to Boise and then Idaho city to Stanley Basin to Sun Valley, movie stars, Haley, back to high desert twin Falls. It’s a loop. You will love Stanley the Sawtooth Mountains jettison out of the earth next to the Salmon River. It’s a beautiful drive and lots of camping places.

I have to make fun of officers searching as many vehicles they can for narcotics. When thousands of acres of marijuana is growing in Oregon. Chemical processing to extract marijuana is taken place. Talent Oregon has thousands of acres growing next to I 5 near their location. That being said marijuana is a narcotic and illegal pursuant to Title 18 United States Code. Under federal law it’s illegal to grow. Under federal law it’s illegal to possess firearms while committing a crime . If Oregon enforced Federal Law. They could focus on arresting corporate growers in their home State. Instead of wasting gas and hoping to find a small amount of drugs in vehicles traveling on Oregon Roads.
