Judas has higher DMG multiplier compared to cain so you get a lot more DMG with him compared to cain. Also if you want a challange character play T.Lost
What do you think about the Blue Baby buff?
The appeal of T. forgor is "haha throw bones" and honestly that's enough for me. I love the idea of a skeleton and a ghost who are a great team, but over time the skeleton has degraded, but the little ghost doesn't give up on them and keeps the team alive through force of will and YEET

Don’t forget, touch effects from items apply to the skeleton, so you can basically just apply them to any enemy just by throwing the skeleton at them (for example, enemies can turn to gold from having the skeleton thrown at them if you have Midas touch)
I love the rework of Jacob, i liked him before the patch but now it's just nearly perfect
I do not agree on Keeper, i find it really fun to play, sacrifice rooms and devil deals for sale make him have a lot of potential and his triple shot has 5.00 tears cap instead of 2.50 like the normal triple shot, it can be very powerful
Ye, the main buff i was pogging for with T Jacob is making Esau immune. Turns him from becoming rebirth lost with chains in endgame floors to what made him excellent early game throughout the whole game. Also the mega bomb was super cheesy, and not in a good/fun way
And now he has 3 HP. He went from bad in AB+ to lots of fun. I really enjoyed playing as him now in repentance. With the cap of 5 tears he can be really really powerful

@@oi-nf9uz How? Delirium on him was like my last unlock… with his capped fire rate and only 2 hp it was nearly impossible. Even with swallowed Penny It’s hard o pick them up in a room full of bullets and deli telefraging you when staying still
For me I think T. Isaac is my favorite, I haven’t gotten a bad run with him and he is always a blast to play.
Eden is just a randomized character built in. That IMO makes them ranked fairly here.
im pretty sure you can pick what item for either side of t lazarus, you just need to flip to the one you want the first item on outside of an item room or shop
Yeah but you are most likely going to flip it after you pick up the first one so you get 2 items but Yeah If the second one is bad then you can choose who gets the good one

You can also clear a normal room to change freely and then go back to the item room.
You can still pick which items you want for T. Laz tho. It functions similarly to T. Isaacs item rooms where he can pick what items to pick up, but the items aren't tied to the character, they only swap to the other version if you use Flip inside of the item room, shop room, etc.
I like t. Appolyon, you can turn bad and space bar items into flyes for extra damage, and it helps a lot when you got tons of flyes, its also realy satisfying to see your fly army getting bigger.
Probably going to hard disagree on Tainted Apollyon and Keeper. Abyss is literally a better Void (in most cases) because it strictly increases your DPS every time you use it on an item. The locusts are seriously good and also scale with your damage stat. Yes, most items are better now in Repentance, but it might be better to use Abyss in some cases because you'll be increasing your power no matter what. Birthright further increases that power by a massive amount, but I don't believe that it's necessary. Tainted Apollyon is strictly better than normal Apollyon. Yes, his mechanics are very uninteresting for now (Tainted Apollyon is supposed to have over 500 different types of locusts), but Abyss providing a strict DPS increase with the locusts is way better than Void's random stat increases.
As for Keeper, I love Keeper in Repentance and I've had a great time with the character. Innate triple shot is great and can be raised to the normal tear cap of 5.00. The coin management is also fun and can allow you to access tons of shop items if you play well. The coin management is also great for Sacrifice rooms, like you acknowledged. Unlike Tainted Keeper, normal Keeper can also make use of Curse rooms most of the time, albeit pretty risky since a bad play can kill you inside the Curse room. Keeper is far from bad; he's nowhere near as powerful or fun as Tainted Keeper of course, but I will never complain if I get Keeper as my randomized character.
Sorry for the rant, I just thought some of the rankings were a little unfair. Personally, I don't think there really is a strictly "bad" character in the game, as all are now playable. Blue Baby is probably the closest to strictly bad, and even then some of his issues can be resolved with skill or luck. I guess any character's issues could be resolved like that, but I'd rather not go on a rant about skill or luck in Isaac right now. Overall, this a good list with mostly good reasons backing it up! Fun is subjective for each player, so I guess it should be no surprise that we'd have differing opinions.

Umm, no he isn’t supposed to have 500+ locusts type, the locusts he has are the final version and the devs don’t want to do more than that
@@kepler4192 It seems the Kilburn AMA proves otherwise. He does have plans to implement the different locusts at some point. This stuff was in the games code already, but Kilburn basically just confirmed the theory that Tainted Apollyon was supposed to be a little more unique. If you want, I can send you the Steam Discussion link which is basically a Tl;dr of the AMA or I can just send you the recording itself.

Hmm, keeper is amazing at sacrifice rooms since there are milions of coins just lying around usually, plus with the new change of buying devil deals and having 3 coin hearts makes him at the very least decent, AND his tear cap is still 5.00, so he can have a lot of power with triple shot. All in all, i'd personally put him in has potential, since he really does.
Tainted Lost is a weird one. On the one hand, I had my best run ever with him (damocles early, lots of shot multipliers, inkubus, shielded tears and more op bs, didn't get hit once and still had birthright one up and my holy card just in case), on the other hand, grinding Greedier with him made my lose streak grow to -50. lmao.

She is once you've gotten her Razor Blade.
She was the worst ever Since the flash version. But now you start of with razer blade so you can have the whore of Babylon always on. She is really good now and pretty fun to play I would say. Also she is now one of the only characters where devil deals are worth it
He is a devil deals fan so whore of babylon can be always active.

Bethany is so insane with how normally bad actives can become incredible. My best run with her destroyed with Shoop Da Whoop of all things. Every Shoop wisp fires a laser when you use it, so I had a giant 9 laser army I can use almost every room.
Gotta disagree with you on the Keeper. I've enjoyed him even since Afterbirth+, even though he was extremely rage inducing. The triple shot gives him decent DPS early on, free shops are nice, and now Health management is amazing as him!
Baleful Lost *is* actually really fun, and I'm not saying that to be quirky. Not having to deal with useless Items makes for way better runs, he has the most potential for legendary runs because he'll get ever so slightly better Items, Perfection, and has a higher chance of finding Holy Card (which means you're likely to get Blank Card+Holy Card). He can be pretty infuriating when you die unfairly, but I don't dwell on it and move on. Also, when you do get that winning run, you get that rush of adrenaline and feel like the best Isaac player of all time.
And dude you can't say old T Laz was funner because of the difficulty and say T Lost *isn't* fun.
i mean yeah, i can, T lost is literally one hit from death. you may get a good run, and then you’ll probably lose that run 4 rooms later. T laz and T lost difficulty are not comparable at all, much different micromanaging involved

@@lemonzzz thats not the argument, no matter how many updates this game recieves, it is not going to amke T laz and T lost any similar at all, you can't just say "oh both are hard in teh same way" cause it just flat out isnt true. T lost doesn't have an item problem, T laz has and always will, its the issue with micromanaging two characters, which I personally think was done better pre patch by giving the character less items, now its just heres a run but its esau jr every other room. They arent comparable

I’m too used to pre-patch T. Azazel, and kinda struggle with him now, at least more than I used to.. Good thing I got all my marks with him before the patch!
Putting Tainted Apollyon at the bottom is criminal
The one thing Judas needs in my opinion is judas' tongue, it just makes sense for him to have it in my opinion (I don't think I have ever seen judas' tongue before so it wouldn't affect much visually, and it would make devil deals insane (especially when going dark room)
i have one complaint about my bony boi which is how you can have TOO much range which can make hitting enemies hard (i still love the forgotten i just want a mod that makes range just make the attack stretch outwards instead of just moving the hitbox forward)

@bd1p You still have a lot of agency with t laz, since if you see an item you want for the laz your not rn you can go do 1 room and come back and than use flip. All of the item rooms are flip usage dependent, so it only matters if you used flip or not, not which character your rn
I kinda agree with almost all of them, the only ones that I heavily disagree is with Keeper, T. Lost and Eden
Yeah i don't care what anybody says, Lilith is one of the most fun characters, specially in Greed mode.
You can just walk out of the room and use a room switch to get the othe item as alt laz, because the item only swaps if you are in the same room as the item when you use flip
new T laz only swaps item when you use flip, you can still get the other item you just need a new charge

Honestly I think t lost is in my top five favourite characters cause early game he’s fun af
I think t lost should have a some kind of built-in weaker sacred orb mechanic. Like not only the useless items don’t get in your run but higher quality items get more frequently (which is a trade off for survivabilitiy). Which make almost every run will be good but you can loose it in a second. It’s like a rollercoaster of dopamine rush, tilt and then playing again (like a casino character, you loose pretty frequently but the runs were insane)
To do the mechanic work I’ll make a list
0 quality- almost never
1 quality- lower than average
2 quality- pretty frequent (decently noticeable and much higher rate than in regular runs)
3 quality- much more frequent than (as well as the above)
4 quality- guaranteed 2 items in the run (i mean in run, not in inventory, it will be anywhere you can reach, treasure room, devil/angel room and secrets so keep an eye out)
Special category: shield granting items (holy mantle, book of shadows etc) are now much rarer so hope for your holy cards and runes
So at the hush you are super loaded but you have to go through a bullet hell and at this point, you most likely lack a shield granting item, you have 1 holy card and that’s it. You can build a game breaking set of items and loose it just because you got hit
Holy card mechanic imo should be somewhere like this: holy cards are much rarer than other cards but you have a built-in trinket for holy mantle for a floor (wooden cross if I remember right). You have a right for one hit for a full floor. It will make game more fair as you died not because you had nothing to block a hit (holy card or book of shadows) it’s because you’ve made a mistake twice
Only problems can be is that it might be fun but really time consuming (loosing items in a run is not that bad as loosing time). And delirium that just ruins all my setup, you have 1 hit before you die and no defensive items and delirium just deletes you
So in summary: you are a lost with built-in better items, weaker sacred orb, wooden cross. All defensive tools are now extremely rare but super cool items are super frequent. You have fair rules (1 hit per floor, die fast or easy win, you can’t stop finding game breaking set ups). I might add a time limiting feature to make all runs fast and not too underwhelming to loose
I’m a little on the fence about normal Keeper. I think he’s pretty fun, I’d put him in the good potential tier, but I feel like I should dock points from him because he’s an absolute nightmare to play as until you’ve beaten Blue Baby so he starts with the Wooden Nickel. Other than that, though, I think he’s great because his triple shot has a higher cap than normal and having lots of money is pretty fun.
Blue Baby seriously needs a buff, and has for years. He does have slightly better stats than Isaac, but not by any means enough to warrant no red health. The most simple fix, in my opinion, is to give him a starting trinket. Petrified Poop is an obvious choice, but that might be a bit too strong, so maybe instead give him Lil Larva to give him a few flies to play with. That or just give him better stats. You could probably get away with just giving him Cain’s stats except normal range and he’d be more fun to play
I mostly agree with it, I do think that T. Lilith should be higher because whip is very fun, and I really like judas because for early game bosses you get like 8 damage. But, good tier list

Lilith is A tier. Playing Greed/Greedier mode with her is always fun as hell.
Honestly I have a lot of personal attachment to judas, because he's the first character I beat mega Satan and delirium with in one run
imo tainted eden is so sick, having your build change mid-fight against an end game boss is extremely hype and keeps you on your toes alot of the time. they're probably my favorite character in the game because i love how they are able to keep the game interesting and intense, even if you have an overpowered build. although, i personally went for devil deals instead of angel deals, which likely increased my opinion of them.
Tainted eden is the least fun character IMO. It takes out all the excitement of seeing or looking for good items since they’re just gonna get rerolled anyway.

Lazarus has always been a least favorite of mine. I genuinely find playing him to be so boring.

Blue Baby is different from Isaac since he has much cheaper and easier devil deals than any other character, which is what carries his runs.
Honestly my favorite character is Eden because whenever I spawn into a game I start off with brimstone or triple shot
I think T. Apollyon would be much better if abyss makes more special flies instead of whatever it currently has
also I think you should make one where you includes birthright's effect, because I think with that Judas would be much more fun than him without the birthright

Tainted blue baby in meh indifferent? Yeah, he is actually one of the most fun characters when you play him enough, I can tell you barley play him. He's some of the most fun once you figure out how to abuse the poops.

Now but I'm getting to play repentance a lot more seeing as its on switch (i own it on stream top but my laptop broke so i only get to play it when my family lets me use a computer lol) i really really think somone should just go and make it so only some rooms can show up for Jacob and eusa
legit some rooms are sooo fucking bad for them especially on mausoleum Though every floor has rooms that don't work for them rooms that are cool and fun and interesting but because of how their character work they just do not work specifically rooms with lots of rocks specifically out specific layouts or specific trap rooms

Isaac is literally designed to be the barebones for other characters. Even without the D6 he would be much higher.

i hate being 1 hit all the time. its so nerve racking. the stress about it, especially with all of the cheese attacks from enemies in the game is annoying asf

@@bd1pLP i mean, some chars changed obviously. I think its difficult to rate them right now - eventhough you played them a bit. Then again you just rate the fun-ness, so it doenst really matter

I think both appolyons would be more fun if they had the extra “worse items”, so that you are more likely to void/abyss the items that you find
