the reason why the watercolor dried so splochy on the last skin layer is bc you put it over colored pencils, idk if you used prisma colors (wax based) or polichromos (oil based and oil goes on top of water, not the other way) but the watercolor couldnt stick to a surface as smooth as colored pencils. Hope that explains it a bit...

Been going through a huge art procrastination process during quarantine . Early on was perfect and then I just hit a slow plateau of effort . This constant roller coaster of lazing around and trying just doesn’t give me the constant growth I used to get. But everyone I see your videos I just get sparked with so much E X C I T E M E N T to draw ! The style, the dreamy watercolors , everything in these videos just mean so much to me . Thank youuuuu!

I've always admired how much work you put into preparing to do the actual drawing but I LOVE that you are just diving in and reacting as it goes in this one! It gives it a really free feeling! It can be scary when you go in too much with watercolor but don't underestimate your colored pencil skills! Thank you for sharing your process but I also think its so important to just make art not on camera too. I feel like I have to record everything now for content, I really should be taking time to just create without thinking about recording and just get absorbed in the process again. Lovely art as usual

I find the pencils save me so many times..Not that I paint as often as you ,but I sat on a painting for months hating it..Now it’s framed and my Daughter is the owner and she really loves it..So thank you Polychromos 🥰

I'm not certain but I assume the darker wash over the skin didn't go well because you'd already drawn with waxy pencil in those areas so it was resisting the very watery brown wash
