Just picked up a DFNDR Plate Carrier, have to say, Tacticon makes a better one for half the price. Love your content dude, youre killing it, and you are highlighting some really dope budget carriers!

Thanks for the comment! I agree, some of the brands I have reviewed have truly outshined some of the bigger name brands in terms of overall value and performance!

Curious how much each one weighs empty and loaded? Weight is the limiting factor when considering mobility. Have you considered 3A+ flexible armor?

Thanks for the comment and that's a really good idea! I will definitely try to make an emphasis on the overall weight of each plate carrier system once the configuration is finalized for each one and really hammer home how overall weight is a definitive factor to take into consideration when building a load out.
I will eventually look into 3A and 3A+ plates for some of my plate carriers and also try to do a non ballistic review of some plates and prices when I buy them. As we all know plates are pretty pricey (especially for the good ones) so I am waiting for when I wrap up a pretty comprehensive run of low budget loadouts and tactical comparison segments running at the start of 2025.
Obviously my channel is very gear heavy at the moment but I am going to slowly transition into some other product reviews and segments that will hopefully highlight some of the stuff you mentioned (which you generally give me great ideas for upcoming content)
I obviously do some hefty builds for most of my Low budget kit. But most of it is just for fun and experimentation (a lot of trail and error)
My "Fighting Loadout" at the moment is my Ferro Slickster which I set up fairly slick and light. So I definitely took weight into high consideration for that set up and kinda use that as the template for how I am experimenting with other kit.
I appreciate the regular comments and helpful input like always!

(1R1 Insert - Single Rifle Single Pistol insert) if you go to (wise men company) it’s an awesome insert for the just a pouch. I use it on mine

Thanks for the comment! I will look into that! I watch some of the content Wise Men Company does on TH-cam and knew they sold gear and equipment but never really looked into it. I certainly will check out what they got!

@@TacticalNewbie101 they have some cool stuff. So far I got the triple AR mag insert for my spiritus mark 4 and the insert for the justa pouch. By the way the tall triple mag insert is the best the short one leaves space at the top with some of the loop showing.

AGK19 is the best fitting plate carrier on the market. It fits snug but not to tight and it’s my main carrier. I have the HRT carrier with a Haley Strategic Heavy placard for .308 setup as well and is slimmed down to help with weight but still K19 is my main setup.

    • @MonsterChuck

K19 is nothing but gimmicks and is objectively a bad carrier. It does not fit well at all unless you are shaped like a ball. Too much material, too bulky, shoulder buckles get in the way and never really puts the plates where they are supposed to be (either choking you out or sagging). No one actually likes the K19 and if someone tells you they do, they are lying or don't know any better. Get something quality like a LV119, MEPC or JPC 2.0.

Thanks for the comment! Yea the K-19 is a popular carrier system but I notice it does have a split demographic of individuals who either love it or hate it. I'm split at the moment but in the later "Tactical Comparison" planned for 2025 I will be cross comparing the Agilite K-19 with the Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite which (spoiler alert) is basically the same plate carrier.
A bunch of the guys in the comment section made mention that the Tacticon Battle Vest is an Alibaba (made in China) set up which is crazy considering it is basically an almost exact match to the K-19. Makes me wonder where Agilite manufacturers their plate carriers because some of these chinese knock offs are uncanny in their similarities to the Gucci counterpart.

Thanks for the comment! Yea the K-19/ Tacticon Battle Vest Elite (clone) definitely has some glaring con's that I have noticed over the past year of reviewing it and training in it.
I definitely agree that there are better options on the market overall and absolutely agree that the JPC 2.0 is one of them (or at least the clone version I currently have).
I have looked into the MEPC and Defense Mechanisms makes some really really cool stuff (I love the MECH Belt and will likely get one to review eventually).
      Thanks again for the comment
