      Thanks for the comment! The build segments tend to get mixed reviews and comments. Generally the negative ones come from guys who either don't find my build content useful or they find it "boring" But the build content I provide is aimed to give guys a first hand guide to help them build out their battle belt or plate carrier systems. I'm glad you you enjoyed the video and I hope it was helpful!

I'm all for receiving fair criticism if it comes from a genuine place but if you are just trying to be an ass well that certainly won't fly. The plate carrier loadout total (for everything featured) was $370.69. Not sure where you got the "$1000+ from but it wasn't this video. If you can build a plate carrier loadout cheaper you're certainly welcome to make your own video.

      Thanks for the comment. The yakeda brand overall is great for an affordable starter plate carrier or battle belt. Krydex is also pretty affordable but their niche is selling budget friendly clones of specific Gucci gear.. Really it's all a matter of what someone is looking for in the budget gear they are getting and for what specific purpose. Both are good options for starting out!

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! For a starter plate carrier both Yakeda and Redemption Tactical make a decent overall product that comes with specific pros and cons Yakeda (Pro) A very affordable one stop shop plate carrier that provides everything you need to get started. Good quality overall and made with good materials (Con) Stitching is not the best and likely will experience issues with sustainable longevity with hard use of running it fully loaded out (mags, gear and plates) Redemption Tactical (Pro) Better quality material and stitching overall when compared to Yakeda. Redemption Tactical offers an assortment of add on features (backpack, placards and pouches) to run with this carrier but are sold separately (Con) Plate Carrier is slightly more expensive then the Yakeda. The $150 (give or take) price is a bit steep. The Ferro Concepts Slickster is $160 so if you are looking to spend that much for a plate carrier it's best to just spend a couple extra bucks and get something "Gucci" like the Slickster or OTTE LVZ.

    I bought the Emerson one it suckes . Sent it back 10x12 level 3+ plates did not fit. The shoulder straps were terrible. Emerson is just a toy vest for airsoft. I was very disappointed thank God Amazon returns and refunds your money. For like 30 bucks more get the real thing.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment and input! That's odd that your 10x12 level 3+ plates didn't fit. My 10x12 level 4 plates had no issues fitting in mine. What cut were the plates if you don't mind me asking? Can I ask a few questions to clarify? Do you have a Ferro Concepts Slickster or Spiritus Systems Lv119? I ask because the Emmersongear/ Krydex plate carrier is kinda a cross between those 2 carriers. The shoulder straps closely match the LV119 more then the Slickster but everything else basically matches the Slickster in design. Aside from the straps, what else was of terrible quality? As far as I'm aware with the hands on comparisons and research I have done (but I'm not an expert) both carriers are made from 500D codura and the elastic cumberbund material is also the same. The big difference more then anything is that you get an entire Loadout for the Emmersongear/ Krydex price of $119 vs paying $160 for the Ferro plate bags and cumberbund. If Ferro to you is the better option I certainly can't argue with that. I love my Slickster plate carrier. But to be fair, I have done a pretty extensive cross comparison of these products (multiple videos comparing Budget vs Gucci) and based on my personal research they are pretty close in quality overall. Thanks for the comment and input!

    I think the reason I multicam is more expensive is because they assume it’s being used for military purposes and so they need to do the extra step in the manufacturing process of making it NIR compliant.

    If a company is upfront about lead times and you still order.. you have nothing to complain about. The 20 minute shots of you assembling gear aren't entertaining.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They were vaguely "upfront" about the lead times at time of purchase and I can certainly complain about it if I feel the long lead times and lack of proper communication is unreasonable. I also mentioned the long lead time to give anyone viewing the channel or video a proper heads up about said lead times in advance just in case. Lead times aside their gear is very high quality. If you don't like my content well you can certainly not watch it. I post content that myself and others enjoy. If that's not you, well you're welcome to look elsewhere. Godspeed

    Seems expensive, until you realize that its 11 components for $460. That makes each piece about $41, which is relatively cheap for Made in American. The Safariland QLS is probably the reason your shipment was delayed. Looks like there is a shortage of good holster mounts. Significantly less fumbling with screws in this video than previous ones, you must be leveling up your ability to not screw things up. Keep this up and you may need to change the name of your channel.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the consistent comments! I absolutely agree! I will provide a price breakdown for the total cost of the entire Loadout on next week's video. The cost is obviously way more expensive than anything I featured on the low budget side, but considering everything that Wilder Tactical provides and the overall quality of the gear it is a great investment. Its a perfect one stop shop for a good high end battle belt system! Hahahaha well leveling up is the goal for both my knowledge and for the channel. I think I will forever be a Tactical Newbie even if my knowledge and experience grows. Especially considering there is A LOT that I have to learn and with me starting at an older point of adulthood I have a ton of ground to cover in a shorter period of time when compared to those who got into the tactical game at an earlier age or served/ worked in law enforcement. Thanks for the comment and I don't mind you asking at all! If anything I promote questions and comments on the channel! An open line of communication helps everyone learn together! The Yakeda plate carrier was a great plate carrier for the price. It offers you every basic requirement a plate carrier should have without having to spend extra money for it. With that said, while it is a great starter plate carrier it isn't something I would recommend for home defense or SHTF unless obviously that's the only thing someone can afford at that point. Stitching started to break down in some areas fairly fast and with limited use. Overall quality is not terrible but if you are looking to do more than just basic range practice (standing and shooting) then it is not something I would recommend unless you are just starting out or are on a very limited budget. I honestly shelved this carrier (for something a bit better) after only a few months of use. I do plan on repurposing it into a back up workout/ CrossFit plate carrier though. Really put it through the ringer and see how long it lasts.

    Hello, just have two questions regarding the belt. The color seems to be proper ranger green shade on both the store and in the video here, but some images present it as being a *very* olive color, and I'm concerned that it might look out of place compared to some of the proper RG gear that I have, it's something that the Chinese manufacturers tend to get wrong. Would you consider this belt to be a proper matching shade, or is it too yellow/olive? Secondly, I'm a *very* thin guy because of my genetics (most plate carriers and belts won't fit me), and I wasn't able to find a proper minimum size for the belt. Would you know how small the belt actually gets?

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately I was not too impressed by this belt when I received it. It is more of an Olive Green than a Ranger Green. The quality was pretty questionable at best and it unfortunately does not provide a sizing chart on Amazon so I can't accurately give you a good estimate of waist sizes it can fit. That's unfortunately the hardest part when buying budget gear in Amazon. Sometimes the quality is not very good and the belt is designed to fit "average waist sizes" with no adjustments for those on the small or bigger than average sizes. I would honestly not recommend this belt overall and I have already repurposed most of the gear on it onto another belt. I would recommend if possible looking for a belt that at bare minimum offers a waist size chart or a belt that offers a generic small, medium or large size overall. I hope my input helps you on your belt searching journey. I can certainly try my best to answer any additional questions that you may have but more importantly I would highly recommend you avoid this specific belt.

    If you buy Yakedas Top of the Line Plate Carriers, you get a pretty good setup. I think the most expensive one is around $63. I paied well over $500 plus for my Made in America setup, which is also pretty good. The Yakeda was a good starter setup before i could put together a US Made Body Armor setup

    Is the price on the carrier including the plates? I'm considering getting the tacticon carrier but getting the Agilite Pincer Placard for it only because there mag sleeves have a divider that enables you to run 33rd glock mags for my PCC. Everything Agilite is way overpriced but it's the only one I've found to accommodate 223 and 9mm mags. Thanks for the in depth video.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! The price for all my Low Budget Loadouts generally don't include the price for the plates simply because there is such a variety of plate quality, levels and prices of plates to choose from. The Tacticon Armament Battle Vest Elite is essentially a direct clone of the Agilite K-19. I think it's a great idea to buy the Tacticon plate carrier if you are looking to save a few dollars for sure!

      @WhoDey_SB2024Bound 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @TacticalNewbie101 Thank you. I agree that there's no need to spend 4 or 500$ on just a carrier. Buy a cheaper carrier and better plates. Or in my case a cheaper carrier with higher quality accessories/ Pouches. Just get yourselves plates and a careier and be prepared. If anyone is looking for a excellent deal on plates I recommend and run myself a set of Guard Dog level IV Ceramics. Best bang for the buck out there. Check out classic firearms video trying to destroy them. For the price, they can't be beat.

Description never specifies so I assume if they don't go out of their way to mention it being mil spec that it likely is not. It is a fun drum to shoot out on the range and so far it has been pretty reliable. Downside is that it runs through 100 rounds so fast that it can get pretty expensive to keep her fed. It's an easy way to burn through ammo reserves for sure hahaha

    I am building myself a budget plate carrier and I do a lot of research on the things I buy before buying them. I have only been using Amazon for purchasing plate carrier accessories but one question I had is; is there any budget, and trusted website stores online that sells budget decently quality pouches for plate carriers? I am trying to find things that are brand new and unused but don’t break the bank.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! Yes indeed there are a few good direct manufacturers that produce plate carriers and accessories that you can order directly from the manufacturer. A few of the ones I use are Krydex, Tacticon Armament, M-tac and many others. Most of the gear they offer you can also purchase on Amazon unless it is out of stock there in which you can order directly from the manufacturers website. I got other recommendations from commenters that it's also a good idea to look at army surplus websites or if you have any local locations near you to get gear. That and also regularly be on the lookout for some deals that some of the more Gucci gear manufacturers or 3rd party dealers who may offer some good deals as well. I would honestly recommend just always being on the lookout for affordable gear when it comes to all of these options and make it sort of a hobby to regularly check for deals and sales. But the best overall "one stop shop" for a lot of the gear that I myself got was through Amazon for the most part. So I would always reccomend starting there before branching out to other locations. I hope that helps!

    What’s the purpose of the velcro breaking the belt into 2 pieces?

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! The primary purpose of the Velcro under belt is designed so that you can weave that belt (Velcro under belt) through the belt loops of your pants and adhere the top belt directly to the Velcro under belt to offer a more structural hold that won't sag or drop when training, running, crawling or basically performing any specific physical activity. Most current generation belts offer that option now but it also allows you the availability to also add a standard padded under belt if ever you just wanted to put on the belt on without weaving anything through your belt loops or if you have pants that don't have belt loops. I hope that helps! Thanks again for the comment!

    Great video. I have a question. Does the Ferro Concepts fit better on the shoulder when concealed? Seems like the shoulder design is meant to keep the top of the plates from protruding and horribly printing.

    • @TacticalNewbie101
      @TacticalNewbie101 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment! I personally built my Ferro Slickster out to be more of an overt platform vs covert (at least at the moment, it could very likely change in the future). But I would say that your likely spot on with your assessment overall. I do notice that my plates have a bit of a slight droop and open space in the material just below the neck line and around the shoulders that would very certainly suggest that it was designed that way to provide less printing around the neck line if used for concealment purposes. Thanks again for the comment!

(Even if some of it can be a bit repetitive at times) Ideally my goal going into the end of the year and next year is to hopefully provide a bit of new content aside from the general tactical hauls, budget/ Gucci builds, low budget/ Gucci Loadout, tactical reviews etc. I will still definitely be featuring that from time to time and the tactical haul segment will always be a reoccurring feature I do plan to feature in the near future some shooting content and explore other avenues in the tactical space (first aid, survival, prepping etc).
